Camel goes AWOL from Live Nativity

:rotfl:

I can't believe this made national news.

One of my friends on FB shared a video of the camel trotting down the road.

This occurred about 10-15 miles north of me.

We've had cows, steer and horses on the loose but a camel is new. I didn't even realize they were using live animals for a nativity scene.

I was once surprised to look in my backyard and see a horse (I still have no idea where it came from). But a camel would have been really unexpected! On my wishlist now, lol.

Apparently I need to start watching the local news again!

It was much less exciting but a sheep got loose from my childhood church's live nativity scene. Alas, it was pre-cell phones so I don't have any video of it.

I like camels.. I have heard they are quite rude though, I dunno. I still think they are adorable. The only time I have seen one in person was at a Christmas parade.

Took police all day to track her down (using commandeered golf carts no less) but the camel is home safe.
Cops chasing a camel in golf carts. I imagine these cops are followed by a few Shriners in go karts and Disney guests in ECVs while "Yackety Sax" plays.

I want a meme of the Three Kings running after their camels, running off with Jesus’s gifts. 🤣👑🐪🐪🐪
