Calming the Beast

Ha. I'm 33 days out and I haven't told our kids yet. I'm bouncing off the walls excited but I have to do it quietly so they don't catch on

I'm jealous actually - I used to feel that way before our trips. I guess the "newness" has worn off enough now that, while I look forward to it, I don't get butterflies in my stomach every time I think about it. And I miss that! So enjoy the anticipation - it's definitely a part of the trip too :)

I'm at 31 days out. Tonight-- because I'm afraid I might have forgotten something..... I'm checking my "to do" lists and "tips and ideas" that I saved to documents from our '12 and '14 WDW trips
DD15 and I are finalizing our Disney Bound outfits. Waiting for items to arrive that we ordered from etsy.

Today marks 100 days out for us!! I know exactly how you feel. I've been reading reviews on portable chargers on amazon to bring to Disney! This trip can't come fast enough!

oooh! that reminds me! I wanted to get a 2nd one of those since my kids seem to hog mine!
See! I knew there was something I was forgetting!!!!
Thanks!

I am at 25 days (for our 25th anniversary) and keep getting tshirts in the mail from Etsy, etc and watching videos of Disney trips on YouTube. Im only not going mental because Im also the florist (my side gig) for a wedding the day before we leave, so I have centerpieces and bouquets on my mind.

Same here. I start messing with dining reservations, in fact, I dropped one for lunch at the Rose & Crown for lunch and added Chefs De France yesterday, even though we're having lunch there five days before the 2nd ADR. Then I start rewriting the fax with specific room requests that I'm going to send to POR a few days before our arrival. Plus, I start tuning up fast passes. Not to mention going over the packing list, buying a new suitcase just in case, etc. I'm making myself crazy.

At my age, I've learned not to wish for time to pass any more quickly than it already does.

I know how quickly a week at Disney can go by if I don't try to savor each and every moment of it. So savoring each and every moment of pre-trip anticipation helps me get in practice for the big week...

Looks like we're arriving the same day to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Congratulations!

It happens to me every time. Now that I'm down to 20 days out I finally broke down and started posting to make the time go by.

I feel like I've read every single dining review on DFB and every resort review on Allears.
Planned my ADRs into infinity and beyond (on the DxDP).
Checked every menu on the WDW website.
Watched every video and looked at every picture of the CBR.
Read every relevant thread on the boards.

I make packing lists, grocery lists, and must-do lists.

Yup.. I drive myself nuts during the wait!
 My DH just doesn't understand my pain

This is so me. 44 days out here.

I don't stop until I'm actually leaving for the airport and can check off the first task on my list.

We have a big convention that we go to over Labor Day weekend called Dragon Con. So I'm kind of in both Dragon Con and Disney mode right now.

I have been watching a lot of Disney YouTube videos and getting really excited. 58 days here.
