So I have seen on here that some people call and the CS checks if there is a code under their name. What number do you call? I decided to give it a whirl today and called the 407 w disney number and whent through the automated stuff and got a CS rep who told me that they could not look my name up that is something that I have provide to them they don't have a way to look.

Do I need to call a different number or did I just get some one that didn't want to check?

That's the right number - call back and try someone else.

thanks. I was reading around after my post and found that it's hit or miss when you call.

I have lived at 8 addresses since we married 13 yrs ago (4 in the last 8 yrs) so there is always a chance for me to get one and it go to a wrong address.

Someone recently suggested calling and telling them you received an email but deleted it by accident. And the CM they talked to checked. Just keep calling. I got lucky with the first CM I got on the phone.

I called back and got the same story. Even told the CS that I had moved a lot and was concerned that maybe they went to a old address. Said no way to check w/o the actual code to give them.

maybe I will tell DH to try and see if he can find out any thing.

Still call and ask them again. Tell them you've moved several times and changed email addresses, so you want to make sure they have updated information. Then ask them to check to see if you had any discounts that were either mailed or emailed to you that you may not have gotten.
The last CM I spoke to even told me about pins I had last year that were expired...

I called and they checked for me. I guess it depends on which CM you get. It wouldn't hurt to try again!

Piratemama, any luck??
I often get them to open my account first. Ask them to make sure they have the correct mailing or email address. Once they confirm that information say..."oh, since you already have my account open can you please check and see if I have a PIN code attached to my or my husbands name? Friends of ours got one and we hope we do to."

A LOT of it does depend on how nice and helpful the CM is...

thanks for all the suggestions. I didn't call again yesterday but I will try again today.

When you said you ask them to check your account info I have not book through them so would they have it. Is that like the information when I registered on line?

Yes it is. When I recently booked somehow the CM had my old home address, from when I was a kid! Makes me wonder if my Disney mail is going to the wrong place :sad2: But I still had a pin and was able to use it.

well to update I tried again, asked if they could check my address (since I have moved a lot) and it's correct but they were not able to check and see if I have received any discount codes. Oh well I was hoping for the kids dine free but guess we are going w/ the 4/3 deal instead.

Oh goodness -- they said AGAIN to you they couldn't check?? I'm tempted to impersonate you and find out for you! LOL. That's nuts. I've had my share of non-checkers, but I've probably had more that were willing to check. The 4/3 deal is still pretty good and you will still have a magical vacation. If your long distance bill can handle it I'd keep calling and checking. A non-helpful CM does make me wait awhile, but eventually curiousity gets the better of me and I have to call to see what there is for me! Best of luck!

thanks mommy*rn verry nice of you. I think we are just going w/ the 4/3 (got to get in quick) esp. now that my parents are going that will be a better deal for us as a family.

Any deal is better than rack rates...AND it's DISNEY!! :cool1: . The 4/3 is a great deal and your family will have a wonderful time. Happy planning the rest of your vacation!!

piratemamaof3, Call and say this. Hi, I got a postcard the other day and I have misplaced it. Is there anything you can do?" explain how you have 3 kids and one of them must have gotten it.

I did that 4 times they always looked for me.......

Low and behold it was under my maiden name :cool1:

good luck

Thanks for the suggestions. Now that my parents are also going w/ us the 4/3 deal is going to be better deal for us I think. I just called and booked :cool1:

I actually just got a code and it went to my junk mail and by the time I got home from work it deleted!

I called and the first CM I got was sort of nasty about it, saying that the codes are no longer attached to our names and that since I deleted it, I have to either pay full price or try to "wait it out" for a new code.

So I just hung up and called back, I got a delightful CM who looked up the code for me! He also looked under my husband's name to see if we had any other codes that would benefit us!

This was the free $500 gift card with check in through 06/05/2009 - however, we cannot go that early, we are planning a trip for September, but would possibly change it to October or November depending on the deal.

He told us to keep an eye out, new codes come out all the time and keep calling to see if there are any codes for later in the year!

For every CM that will not help, there is a CM who definitely will! I just wanted to let you know it never hurts to try!! :cheer2:

I called last week and had a very helpful CM. He looked under my name and my DH. The only code I had attached to my name was the kids dining for free. I was hoping for the 40% one, but no luck.
The CM said to keep checking back and that there would be more codes this year.

We're planning a trip for late Sept early Oct and the new deals will help us decide what/where to book. We're still trying to decide to do the land and sea cruise and add extra days at a resort or doing a split stay at the campground and a resort.

I am probably going to regret opening my mouth about this, but I don't think it is right to call and lie to a CM just so they will check on a code for you. I realize that sometimes people need a code to be able to go to Disney World (I needed one this year), but the calling and asking for a code thing can get out of hand. The CMS get tired of it and then they don't want to help at all.

If you lie and say I got a post-card and lost it, or I got an email and deleted it, etc. that story quickly gets old and CMs will assume it just isn't true. What about the few people that really do lose their code and CMs won't help them because of all the people using that lie to try to get them to look for a pin-code? It just doesn't seem worth lying about.

Like many have already said, some CMs are helpful and some are not. You can hang up and call back if the CM you get won't check for you. Why make something up?:confused3
