I'm just curious as to how many of us are there. Seems like quite a few of us are posting from the Lonestar state.
I'm just north of San Antonio. We moved here after Hurricane Katrina. But really, we consider ourselves born again Texans. We've spent most of my husband's career in various parts of Texas and consider Texas to be home. I love Bluebonnets, the Rodeo, Tex-Mex, and how vast and diverse the state is. We've lived in West Texas, close to the Permian Basin. We've lived in North Texas, right on the Oklahoma border, where it's so flat, you can see forever, and now we're living at the base of the Hill country!!. It's great. We're loving life here.

Lived in Dallas up untill 6 years ago. Moved to Wharton, a small town between Houston and Victoria. Its really a great town. Dan Rather is from here, Horton Foote is from here (and still lives here 1/2 the time), and Frank Sinatra Jr. married a woman from here and they also live here. Several movies have been shot here. My DH works for the Pom Pom :cheer2: factory. Its one of only 2 in the world and the one that holds the patent on how they are made. Its a neat if not unusual small town.

I live in Cypress, Texas. Northwest suburb of Houston. We moved her from Wisconsin in 2002. DH worked at the Med. Center doing some work of MD Anderson. He is now traveling around the country, and we can live where ever we want, but choose to stay here. The weather is pretty good, love the diversness of the state. We have tons left to explore. We like to camp, and putting in our Christmas letter that we were camping in April makes our friends from back up north really green with envy!! We are becoming great with the grill. I never knew how sacred a piece of beef can be!! :confused3 :rotfl2:

I'm from Rowlett.. a subarb of Dallas. Been here for 12 and a half years. :) We moved here from Southern California.. but I grew up in Ohio.

I live north of Dallas but consider myself a Houstonian. I love San Antonio and the hill country area and would move somewhere out there if I could. I also enjoy hanging out in west Texas in spite of the terrain.

We're in Cedar Park, which is an Austin suburb. We moved here 8 years ago and can't imagine living anywhere else.

If you like bluebonnets, take a look outside. I noticed the ones in our back yard are already starting to pop up.

We've been here in Houston since 2002. I used to live near Waco the first 9 years of my life (not native though :guilty: )-dh is a yankee now born again Texan. We will never never leave here on our own free will. My family and friends from Ohio think we're crazy :confused3 -I just tell them it's a Texas thing. Hi to all my fellow Texans :wave2:

We live in a small (but growing) town south of Dallas. It's been 23 years for me, but DH is a native.

In the words of the great Sandy Squirrel....

Wish I was back in Texas...

I'm a displaced born-again Texan and lover of all things San Antonio...the food, the Riverwalk, and Manu Ginobli...

Don't make me start crying. We lived in NE SA when hubby was stationed there. I hope we'll get back there someday...

Hi Y'all ~

I'm from Houston, TX. Born here, raised here, and now we're raising our DD5 here. I Love Houston!!! Speaking of which... My DD is having her Go Texan Day at school in February and told me, "Mom I need to get boots to wear to school." That is funny to me because I think of people thinking of Texans as people who wear cowboyish things every day! ;-)

Sixth generation Texan. Born in Houston and now live in a small (but quickly growing town) of Pearland.
