Not from NOLA, but from south LA and we're skipping Mardi Gras. May catch an early parade the week before in Houma, but we're going Disney.
God Bless NOLA.
we're headed to Disney too....could I talk them into throwing coconuts from the AK parade? we were lucky enough to be in the AK parade a few years back...maybe again for Mardi Gras
Was going, but I just tranferred to a new coaching position and we will have baseball games that week so we had to cancel. But no prob. We are going in December
Trying to convince hubby to do a last minute trip....he's breaking down!!! We were just there in Sept. during our evacuation, but I'm dying to be there for my DD2's birthday (Mardi Gras day!) Do you think it will be crowded?
I am just counting the days...in fact got my packet in the mail today Forget Mardi Gras it is all about Disney...
P.S> Not from New Orleans but close enough in HOuma
Not going for Mardi Gras but will be there for Valentines Day. We're taking a break from our home renovation projects to go have some fun. Our part of Metairie is still a little messy and I've never yearned for that famous Disney cleanliness more than I do now. Staying at POFQ for the first time and looking forward to seeing a family friendly version on the FQ, also curious to see if their beignets are any good. I will be back home in time to catch all the good parades. Wouldn't it be cool if the WDW parades had throws?
YES YES YES...we r heading outta here and I can't wait! We're actually in Houma...but living w/ Mardi Gras isn't all it's cracked up to be, so we head to Disney!
We're going too!!!! We went 4 years ago for Mardi Gras and it was perfect. Not hot, cool at night, not crowded. Arriving Feb 25 and staying until March 4.
I noticed a few people from Houma checked it....I work in Houma. See you there.
We usually go every year, but this year we're staying home. We've spent 6 weeks in Disney over the last 4 months (evac and planned trip), so I think we'll take a break this MG. We thought about it, though!
Baton Rouge-sprawl resident here (by way of Bayou Lafourche). Add us to the list!
Hey, I heard from a family member there's about 300 people from the Houma-Thibodaux area headed to see the Mouse that week. Any chance you Houma residents are part of that number?
It'll be fun listening for the familiar accents while waiting on line.
NOLAminnie ...stayed at POFQ a few years ago...it really is nice to see a "clean and fresh" smelling version of NOLA! BTW...the beingets were fabulous then...
My lil' sis is going then too...wish I could join her!
Hey, she is talking about me and my family. We are leaving the 24 and staying until the 1st at POP. Picking the kids up from school and driving straight through. They don't know yet and we are planning on letting them figure it out on the way. So Cool See ya in WDW mouse!
