Hi Jill, we are in the planning stages for a trip to WDW! I'm so excited I can't wait. My DH wants to stay at Animal Kindgom, you stayed they didn't you? Did you see many animals?
I was so surprised my DH isn't a huge Disney fan and he started planning this trip, he said becasue he knows how much the boys and I love but I think deep down he enjoys it to and didn't want to show it.

Yes, we have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge 2x so far and just bought into DVC back in august with the AKL as our home resort. We hope to stay there again in April 2009.

We stayed concierge level both times and had savannah view which is so nice! My boys could have cared less but Gracie & I were on the balcony as often as we could be - LOVED the giraffes & zebras the best!! It was so quiet that you could hear the giraffes eating the leaves! As soon as we woke up in the morning we were on the balcony...just so peaceful. The resort is also so beautiful if you are into African art. Disney really paid attention to all the details at that resort. Many wonderful photo ops!

Jiko's is one of our all-time favorite resteraunts and the place where John & I would often go without the kids. But now Aaron has aged-out of Disney child care so they came with us back in November and liked it. If you want to leave the boys somewhere so you can have a quiet dinner, Simba's Cubhouse (on-site) is great fun and the kids liked that second to The Neverland Club at the Polynesian.

When we bought DVC we got incentive (free) points that we need to use up before October so poor us, we need to take a couple of trips this year to use them up!

All is ok here for the most point. I am off for a hysterectomy on 2/28 so I will be out of comission for a while so I have 5 weeks to get things in order around here. And I have even been scrapbooking! Check out my other post about the store on the Cape - your boys would probably like The Cape Codder too and it's only about an hour and a half away.

HI Jill, thanks for the info. It's good to know that the kids liked the club/baby sitting at AK, I was thinking of doing that. Jim and I ate a the Jiko when we went for my 40th birthday, Jim loved it, I thought it was fine. We are going at the end of June when the kids are out of school. I would love to see your pictures some time. Maybe we can meet at Dunkin's next to Morin's or walmat. I can't wait to go back.
I have to finish last years vacation scrap book before I plan an other trip to WDW.
