Calling Halloween Cruisers!

I hope that didn't sound stuffy, what I said about group activities! I didn't mean it to... But having only been married for a year and then being apart for six months of it, we have a lot of catching up to do!

But I know that I would love to meet people, so we will almost certainly find you at the Sail-Away party. I always get a little nervous doing things I've never done before, so I am reading up all I can and knowing that there are nice people I can find will be a comfort!!:D

I am *trying* to read the whole thread; I'm on page 24... It's like a novel or a soap opera! (will Ray come back? how did the concert in Venice go? how is Andrea's pregnancy?...tune in next week....)

Brian will be here in 3 hours! off to start the dishwasher....

I changed my mind KIMMERIE and looked at all the pictures :)
Looks like you had a great time.
What did the coachman carry in?
Did you wear Wedding Ears anywhere?

Jan :earsgirl:

oh, we had such fun!! even my mom, who has always rather made fun of my disney obsession, has taken back all her cracks and had a great time.

The MajorDomo (in the cream satin outfit) carried our wedding rings in, in a glass slipper with our names and the date engraved on it. Then, at the reception, he did the announcing of the bridal party. The men who play the MajorDomo are hired for their voices - he had the most wonderful deep, carrying, authoritative voice!

We did not do the wedding ears; but we did do the special photo session in the parks, before it opens! Wedding pictures at the carousel and on the balcony of the castle at sunrise.. What an experience. And then, when we were done with that Brian pointed out to the photographer that the van he was driving us in was almost out of gas, so he drove us behind the scenes to the park vehicles gas pumps - we drove right by the parade barn and saw all the parade floats parked. very cool treat.

Maybe when I get back from the cruise I will be able to put together both a cruise diary and a wedding diary..... :)

No stuffiness noted by me. :) don't worry about it.

Some of us know no one except through these conversations. Some know a couple other people. Some have extended family cruising also. Everyone does as he or she sees fit during the cruise. No problem.

We are going on vacation. Each does vacation as he or she prefers. :Pinkbounc

I love your comments about the SOAP OPERA KIMMERIE :)

Jan :earsgirl:

KIMMERIE--I just sent you an e-mail.
Jan :earsgirl:

Hi all! Sorry it has been a while since I have posted, like the rest you there has just been a lot going on around here!!! Before anyone else leaves for his or her magical vacation I wanted to put together one last T or T list.

Below is the almost finalized list of rooms in the order we will be trick or treating. I’ll just insert the room numbers of the 2 TBD’ers in the list as appropriate after I get the room numbers. Remember we will be meeting: Oct 31, meeting 11:00am at the Lobby on Deck 3.

Tentative Trick or Treat list in order of stops:
2066 Pryd
5020 Mdvasquez
5524 Ginger
6556 Masonpipes
6580 Pallamb
6016 & 6018 Nicole (from another chat board)
6101 & 6103 Mark H & Rose Greenthumb
7128 Dan & Scott
7043 thefatman
7009 JSLE50
7008 Ehtpnt
7576 Ennazus
8582 & 8584 NJfamily
8580 Mpaone
TBD SueEllen
TBD TinkerBellPiexie4Goal

You don’t need to bring the list with you; I will have updated copies for the adults to lead the way. Also each room will have a DIS board T or T sign. I will be putting the signs up on the morning of the 31st, so if you hear someone outside your room taping something to your door, it is only me.

Estelle – If you talk to Sue, please thank her again for me. I finally had a chance to try on my altered dress today and it fits perfect. She did a great job. Also, a big thanks to you for recommending her.

Dena – Thanks for the popcorn coupons for AK. We are looking forward to munching our way through AK!

Scott & Dan – A little bird told me I had better keep you two in-line. He specifically mentioned something about lotion from the spa and Dan trying to throw Scott overboard. You guys sound FUN! Any spa recommendations for me? This will be my first time to a SPA and I am trying to decide between a facial or a massage or perhaps the sampler.

Ray - Got the shirt. Thank You.

A big WELCOME to everyone who is new to the thread.

Way to go HALLOWEEN CRUISERS!

Jan :earsgirl:

Hi Kimmerie, We're Phil and Estelle, we are friends of Tom and Jan. We are also on our first cruise. I understand about getting nervous before doing things I've never done before. I have always been that way. We will be looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.
Lynne- I will see Sue tomorrow morning at church and will give her your message. I'm glad the dress came out well. Mine did too. So did the mystery costume. Just so you know I got one of those bags that you can suck all the air out of. Put the costume and a bunch of other stuff in it and the whole thing fits in one side of my suitcase!
I thought the purchasing was done but NOOOOO!!! I have to get a sweater. I need either a black one or white one. Have a blue one I bought from the Disney auction site on Ebay last year. I need one that isn't quite so totally Disney.
Packing for the cruise is actually done. Took DH about an hour and me about 2 hours. And we are both only bringing one suitcase. I am very proud of myself.
Jan-- I have extra bags and kits in case we need them. I think you have extra too. I'm bringing them with me.
We leave around 8 to 8:30 on Wed. morning. That way we miss traffic in Charlotte. Should be in Canavaral some time aroung 5 on Thurs. Friday we are going to the Cape and Phil wants to go to the Jon Ron Surf shop and get some sort of water shoes or sandles. We should be back at the Rad by around 5. At least that is the time I am aiming for.
After that we will be sitting at the pool watching for the other Diz cruisers.
Ooops... one of the felines just knocked the food dishes on the floor. A signal that it is now 9 PM and I better get on the ball. NOW!!!!! Estelle

Wendyhouse - As long as you just want to hand out treats to the T or T'ers, I can add you to the list. (This list of rooms to T or T at will close on Monday, so I have time to complete all the signs before we leave on Wedesday morning.) I can not add any more participant (T or T'ser) as some DIS'ers have already left for thier magical vacation and bought treats expecting exactly 23 T or T's). Just confirm for me one more time and you are on the list.

Estelle - Glad to hear all your dress and costume are done and packed. I'm not really sure if your costume qualifies as a witch. (That comment was drive Jan nuts!)

ESTELLE: Don't read the following private message to LYNN.
Glad you packing went so well. Is it one suitcase including Halloween treats? No fair.

LYNN: Estelle gave me a clue around Memorial Day when we were there, so I think I know what she is going to be for Halloween and the more clues she does not give, the more sure I am that I am right. But pretending to not know is more fun for her.

Of course Sue did a good job for the two of you--she is a miracle worker. My miracle worker decided she wanted to go to Michigan to see her Granddaughter so I am doing mine on my own. And they are coming out pretty well.

See you all SOON :Pinkbounc

Jan :earsgirl:

Estelle - Do not read the following private meessage for JAN.

Jan - LOL. You had me convinced you did not know. Don't worry I will not tell Estelle, I am very good at keeping secrets.

Well, time to go put the kids in bed! Have a nice night all!

Lynne

Welcome Wendyhouse - looking forward to meeting you and your dh - loved your wedding pics!

Lynne, if you want help taping up the signs let me know! I'll be happy to hit 1/2 the rooms for you. Thanks for doing all those - I know it will be WONDERFUL - oooops, that should be MAGICAL!

We had the birthday party today and it was great - 10 kids bowling and they had the time of their lives - the age range was 3-6 and I think the 3 yr olds were more intent on it than the older ones. I am so glad that's over!

I am almost ready for our move and that means I can focus the rest of my time (besides pesky work) on the cruise. Will begin actual packing tomorrow - right now I have 4 suitcases out (2 medium, 2 small) and a lot of stuff piled around. I do have all my lists on who is going to wear what for which night (Geez, the pressure LOL)

This week is going to FLY BY!!!!

njfamily,

I liked the Spa Taster(just make sure you let the masseuse know how far they can go up the back of your legs) I was sort of a virgin the 1st time I did this treatment and the masseuse got a little to close for my comfort. Didn't know I could tell them to stop LOL!!

But if nothing else do the Rainforest you can come and go as you please and it is very relaxing/soothing.--Highly recomend it and its CHEAP!!

Dan and I have done the Surial --very nice but Dan won't go into the spa anymore since he is a big boy and the spa doesn't have robes large enough to fit him. We did this treatment on our 1st cruise and he has'nt been back since.

The 1 thing I can say is don't let the "spa experience" intimidate you into not going. I don't have a physique too die for and anyways what are the chances of running into these same spa mates in your hometown??---Go enjoy youreself and get pampered!!

Scott

OK, so I go to work for 10 hours and you guys post like mad men (people)! Even Scott posted (like have you guys noticed he hasn't posted at all?) And we get another person to our group, WELCOME WENDYHOUSE!

Gosh so much to do, so little time!

Dan

:rolleyes:I am one of those people who functions better with 8 hours of sleep. I went to bed at midnight and woke up at 6 am--WIDE AWAKE. Do you suppose I am excited about our trip??

I checked the e-mail and we got one from SHIRLEY of THE PERFECT GIFT saying that her special-friend who is also her sister-in-law is not well (cancer) and her daughter died in a car accident last week, so she apologized for not being able to meet us at the Radisson Friday and to take the picture on Saturday but has arranged for a substitute photographer for our "Sail Away" picture from THE GRILL and she hopes that will work out and that it is OK with us. What a lady!

I sent an e-mail to reassure her that whatever happens is fine. Sometimes things do not go as we suspect or plan. That is life.
If we don't get the picture, we will still have a wonderful time.

ESTELLE: :confused:When you open those bags of clothing will they make a wooshing sound like the coffee can does when you open a new one?

Off to work on my costume!!
:Pinkbounc "C ya real soon!" :Pinkbounc
Jan :earsgirl:

Welcome aboard, Kimmerie!! We had our honeymoon in WDW (1990). And this is our first cruise. (DH was sick of going to WDW... LOL )

How many HALLOWEEN CRUISERS do we have now? What is anyone else going to do about the local treats and postcards to share now that there are more in the group? I had planned for 21. Suggestions?

I wouldn't worry about it Jan. I have a feeling that we just aren't going to be able to find everyone. There is going to be so much going on that unfortunately we will miss some people.

Thank you Lynne for all your hard work on the T or T-ing!!

LOL@Scott posting while Dan was gone. I did notice that Dan was the chatty one. ;) Glad to hear from Scott.

Howdy Terri (Mountain Mama) & Kimmerie & Brian (Wendyhouse)!

Kimmerie - We also honeymooned at WDW. We will be celebrating our 6th anniversary on 10/26. This is our 2nd Disney cruise. We didn't get enough of the Magic the first time (4 day cruise). Enjoyed your photos. Your outfits should be great for the dinner and Halloween costume party. Do you have late or early seating for dinner?

Well, tons to do today. Check back later. Patty

ESTELLE:
HEY, How big is that suitcase anyway?

:) :) :) Jan :earsgirl:

Well Jan--it's bigger than a bread box but smaller than a steamer trunk. And I am more concerned about trying to get all of the things in it back in the suitcase when the tiime comes. I don't think they will let me on with a vaccuum cleaner. Well will cross that bridge when I get to it.
Lynne--don't trust Jan she just thinks she knows. HaHa!
Kimmerie-- checked the pictures what a great time everyone seems to be having.
Mostly everything done. I still have to wash clothes so that DH has underwear when we get back. Otherwise I would be doing wash the day we get home. And I still need a sweater. So off to the mall and run errands with the DH. Estelle
