Calling Halloween Cruisers!

Good Morning everyone.Dan & Scott told me about this. And Iam so glad that they did.Its pretty cool here in Charlotte.Its about 47 degrees outside now.Yes Iam a cast member.I work for The Disney Store here in Charlotte.Its the biggest one in our district.We rock on everything that we do.If you all shop st the stores your all in for a great surprise.We are getting in some incredible stuff for the Christmas Holidays.Anyway...Just a few more days and we will be on the Disney Magical Cruise.Iam going to Friday morning.We want to play at the park some before and after.Were staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge before and the Contempoary after.Anyone else staying at either of these?

Welcome Terri we sure are glad you are coming too. And we hope there is no blizzard between now and leave time. We are first time cruisers too.
Hope Mason is having a great MASON DAY! And that tomorrow will be just as great.
We are all probably in stress mode at this point. I just finished the sign for our door. I'm not sure it looks right but it is too late to do anything about it. I've already done it in ink. The post cards are the next item. I plan to write out the notes for the backs this afternoon at work. Nice when the owner is your daughter. Then tomorrow I think we start the PACKING! I hope I can get it all in.

we just finished rolling the last of our change - Dh took the pennies in earlier this week (I'll pay the 8% charge to avoid rolling those) and that was $31 - we're letting the kids have that for video arcade and smoothie money and the silver totals $82 and I told him to get that all in $2 bills - we can use it for the porters, room service and any other tips we want for the week (obviously not our major tips, but all the side item stuff).

Rose - have a great trip - I think you and Ginger are the first to head out!

disneyguy - we're doing AKL after the cruise for 2 nights and probably just MK both Sat/Sun before we head home on Monday

Hey we did 80 pages!! Only 20 to make 100 HaHa!
Worked on the postcards put a little info about the state and our names and email address on them.
Tomorrow is PACK day. That is for the cruise clothes. The rest doesn't need to be packed until Monday or Tuesday morning.
I may have nightmares about the packing tonight.
It is cool and clear here. Due for showers tomorrow afternoon.

WELCOME TERRI - Your going to LOVE the cruise. This is my 4th and I have #5 & 6 already booked and am thinking of booking #7 while onboard.

I just want to let everyone know what a great thread this has been!! What a better way to count down the days to the cruise! You guys are alot of fun, and just as obsessed about disney as I am! It's comforting to know there are other people like me out there!!

Boy, There is alot going on here. I am packing for our weeking trip to Disney for MNNSHP. The weather here has been great! We have a "COLD FRONT" right now. IT IS GREAT!!! 80 degrees in the day and 55-60 at night. I have actually had my A/C off for two whole days!! It's perfect weather for going to Disney!

I think I have finally gotten everything we need. (Everytime I say that, I think of something else to get ) I am going to put address lables on my post cards. Did we say how many postcards were needed?

Well here it is 2am and I just got off from work! I have so much to do and so little time.

Postcards- I don't think it is going to happen, sorry.
Local treats- Again I am sorry but no room in the suitcases!

Gosh I feel terrible, however the bright side is that we do have t or t stuff!

Costumes- we have decided against them, however we all have a mask to wear with our formal wear, think Mardi Gras!

THanks eveyone for the birthday wishes!!! It was nice, but kind of lackluster....but I kept telling myself that I'll really celebrate when I am on board the Magic next week!!!

Dan - FINE. I guess we will have to settle for you two in masks rather than in tight Jester costumes. Whatever.

Right now/Next week we will be eating breakfast and making our way to the port!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gonna go check out the PC Cam to see if she is there waiting for me!

We are going to have a pretty special cruise. Halloween on the ship, Fantasy Fest in Key West, Pirate Week in Grand Cayman....does it get any better than this?????

Good Morning!
My you guys have been busy.
Welcome disneyguy & mountain mama.
I think it is a great idea to leave messages for the group at the front desk when we arrive at the Rad. We all seem to have varied schedules for that day.
We are trying to get everything done before we leave but there is so much to do. Today we will try to make it to the election commission to participate in the early voting. I don't think we will make it when we return.
Yesterday. DS and I spent most of the day with one of my really good friends, her 5yo DD and 5 mon old DS. She and I were inseparable from 7th grade all the way through college. Now she lives in Texas and we only see eachother once a year. We took the little ones for a picnic in the park. We had a great time.
I have done a lot of laundry & we have a lot of clean clothes but not one stitch in a suitcase. Will we make it?
I guess I had better go so I will at least have a fighting chance of being ready. No matter, I am getting on the ship even if I never get a suitcase packed.

How the heck did I miss this many threads?! I go to one party and I come back to two new pages. I didn't get a chance to wish Emma and Ginger a good trip. Ah well! I guess we'll be seeing them soon. 1 week today! YIPEE!

Our team made it to the semi finals. We play that game today. If we win we will play for the championship! If not we play for 4th and 3rd! Either way we get a trophy!

We're doing all our shopping this weekend. I get two pairs of jeans and maybe some new shirts. We also have to get our local treat and postcards. Man we also need our halloween treats!

Welcome DISNEYGUY and TERRI! Sorry you couldn't have joined us sooner. But that's okay! We'll get you caught up! : )

Only four more days of school, and six more days of menstral (I know I spelled it wrong, but you know what I mean) cramps.

My husband and I are coming on our first ever cruise for our honeymoon/1st anniversary on the 10/26 cruise! )We got married at WDW last November 1; we had our rehearsal on Halloween in costume.)

MASON & KAREN: Late Birthday wishes! Celebrating on the ship sounds like a plan. We will actually be cruising when DH celebrates his 54th. And although it is 3 months after our actual Anniversary, I figure you can celebrate your 33rd any time and any place.

I have been sewing our costumes for the Halloween party and not checking the board much. Must go back to sewing. We are leaving Tuesday after seeing my patients. Tom has a business meeting south of here Wednesday morning and we will drive the rest of the way after that.

Hey Jan!

Sure I can bring pictures In fact, perhaps I can fix the broken link to my website of them. I'll get on that.

It was a ball - we got married at the Wedding Pavilion at 10 am, and had the reception at Fantasia Gardens minigolf. The rehearsal dinner (in costume) was at Spoodles on the Boardwalk. Brian (my husband) was Peter Pan and I was Tinkerbell.

I'm trying to decide if we should bring those same costumes on the cruise, or alternatively bring our wedding clothes and some cool sparkly masks! (I had not the traditional white dress but a bluegreen silk dupioni dress that can serve as formalwear.)

Whichever you choose for costumes would be great.
We are leaving Tuesday also, but are driving down after I see my patients Tuesday and in time for a business meeting of Tom's on Wednesday morning. Whenever that is over, we will drive the rest of the way. We have reservations at the Radisson for Friday night. There is a gathering of members of OUR THREAD between 7 and 8 at the pool at the Cape Canaveral Radisson on Friday night. Also a note will be started at the front desk for HALLOWEEN CRUISERS so we can find each other. Where will you and Brian be Friday night?

How many HALLOWEEN CRUISERS do we have now? What is anyone else going to do about the local treats and postcards to share now that there are more in the group? I had planned for 21. Suggestions?

Friday night we will still be at the parks- we're staying at the French Quarter.

I'll ask Brian what he thinks about costumes... he's driving in tonight, I haven't seen him in 3 weeks! Long story, but for the last 6 months because of business he's been living in Michigan and I've been living in Massachusetts


So, this trip will not only be a cool honeymoon, it will be the first time we've seen each other for more than 2 days since May!!! (so I hopeyou all wil understand if we might not do a whole lot of group activities...

No one is obligated or expected to be involved in the group activities. There are a few casual and organized gatherings that are happening. If you and Brian are busy getting reacquainted, we sure will understand. It takes times like that to make it to 33 years. Feel free to do as you wish.

Have you read the whole THREAD? Any questions? The first two entries on page 1 were edited to be a summary of activities.

Thanks for the website addresses. I am working on our costumes so will check them out in detail later, but will go there now to get a look at who you are so I can recognize you on the ship.

Our first "on the ship" gathering is during the SAIL-AWAY PARTY which is on Deck 9 and 10. We will be on Deck 10 MIDSHIP STARBOARD (that is the side you boarded from--the right as you face the direction of travel) so we can watch and participate and get our picture taken. Some of us have matching shirts bought from RAY and the others don't. Some will be wearing green leis (green is the DIS color) and some will be getting them that night from DEBBY. But as we sail from the port we will pass a local restaurant called THE GRILL and we have a better than good chance that SHIRLEY from THE PERFECT GIFT will be there taking our picture. If she can do it, she will mail it to me and I will scan it and make it available via e-mail attachment to anyone who wants it for scrapbooks or photo albums. After we have exited the port channel, people are going their own ways. Some to deck 9 for the party and others to explore the ship, unpack, go to dinner, etc.
