Dena - The flags are 4" x 6" and are .20 cents each. Just tell me how many you want and I'll bring them. Patty:earsgirl:

Hello Everyone!
Is everyone excited? This time exactly one year ago DH, DS and I were at Downtown Disney. I wish we were there now but only 9 more days until our vacation starts. I have done a lot of laundry but no packing yet. I still have a few last minute things to pick up.

Maureen & Suzanne, I am sorry to hear that your parents are not in perfect health. It is very hard to see our parents ill. My parents passed away 3 years ago, 2 months apart.

On a happier note, I am looking forward to meeting all of you. I still don't know if we will make dinner but we will be looking for all of you at the pool.

Estelle: Where ever we end up for dinner, I am sure I will not be ordering Haggis. I was watching the Learning Channel one day and they were telling how Haggis is made. That is a dish I would for sure pass up.

I haven't picked up my post cards yet. How many do I need?

Better go now. Still have lots to do.

Rochelle

Have postcards and treats for the adults. I think there might be a problem handing them out at tort since some of us will be in our cabins awaiting the onslaught.
I would like two flags Patty. I searched the house and the day care centers today and could only find three flags each about 2 inches by 3 inches. Not worth the effort.
I hope to be at the Rad by around 5 PM. I'm sure I am not up to an entire day of walking around the Cape. Now if it were EPCOT or MK I'd have no problem at all.
As to what we look like just look for Bert and Ernie. Years ago our now 30 year old decided that Mom and Dad looked like Bert and Ernie. I am short with grey hair and not thin. DH (Phil) is tall and balding with a mustache and glasses. I tend to be out going and Phil tends to be the quiet type.
Thanks for the info on the shampoo Jan. I will leave mine home.
Picked up the costume, pants and evening gown, this afternoon. Pretty much done for the clothing. Now it is down to ironing mine and Phils shirts and making sure there are enough of them for the whole trip.

Guess that's it for tonight. See you all real soon. Estelle

I can't believe some people will be leaving so soon! I might be able to meet on Deck 10. I probably will actually. I can't believe we'll finally be meeting! I am meeting Emma at the 411 Meeting at Common Grounds. EMMA - I am 5'3". I also have glasses and medium length brown hair. It will probably we put up in a high ponytail with a clip. My eye make up will be sort of heavy (what can I say? I LOVE eye shadow!) I will be wearing jeans with a tank top turtleneck that has blue, red, white, and tan stripes. I'll have a Typhoon Lagoon pass case around my neck, and I'll probably have a radio with me. I think that's about it! I'm starting to pack on Wednesday when my sister leaves for her 8 day trip to New York/Boston. This way I can use her bed.

Can't wait to see you!

Estelle- I thought the same thing too at first, but I think as long as we can do the exchange and leave before the T or Ters do we can get to our stateroom before the onslaught. Are you planning on dressing up in costume to hand out your treats? Then there could be a problem unless you're a quick change artist. LOL!!!

So far we have 21 postcards. I figure one per family. Hopefully it will be enough.

I"M SO EXCITED!!! Patty:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I am 5'2" and have shoulder length red hair. I'll be wearing glasses and my white Halloween Cruiser t-shirt. My DH is tall, also wears glasses and has receding brown hair. Patty:earsgirl: :

Thanks for reminding me Patty...we will be the blonde with Italian DH and DD in our HALLOWEEN CRUISER 2002 shirts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there some way that the first people at the Radisson can leave a message for the rest as to when and where the MEETS will occur?

Sail away gathering DECK 10 STARBOARD at least until we get past THE GRILL because SHIRLEY said she would take our picture!

ESTELLE: Do I need to bring anything to finish out the missing parts to either our items or yours?
:) Bert and Ernie!! --How come I never heard that story??? :)

Tom decided that I needed a couple new skirts and while I was trying things on, he found me a nice blouse, so now I have to rethink my outfits and packing :)

I am planning on 21 local treat packs for families, 21 postcards, etc. I made bags and put in our business cards in case anyone wants our address and e-mail addresses later. I have extra postcards beyond that, so it may be first come first served if there are more than 21. Do you think there are more than 21?

PATTY: Your Disney Princess was ARIEL and she has red hair like you!!

Tom and I both wear glasses. We have a running debate about who is taller--both about 5'7". Both have dark brown hair that is going grey without our permission but he has more grey than I so far. We have PURPLE HALLOWEEN CRUISER SHIRTS and will be wearing them. We often wear matching or nearly matching outfits and you can "sort of" see what we look like from the avatar.

Cannot wait to see you all!! We are leaving in about a week and I still have two costumes to finish!

Jan :earsgirl:

Its been crazy around here the past few weeks but I wanted to update you on my Mom's condition. She had a bone marrow test done and it turns out she DOESN"T have multiple myeloma! We are very glad but the Doctors say she has something it just isn't that. Still great news!!!

I got a few things for TorT still have to get more (I didnt know what to put in the bag for the real little ones). As far as local treats and postcards I feel awful but I dont think I will be able to pull that one off. Its just been too hectic and our family STILL hasnt started packing yet!!! I did make a big pile of my tshirts and shorts im no longer wearing because of the weather turning...now I just have to wash and pack it. I feel like I am not going to pull it all together before we get on that plane next friday. But on the plus side I did get my daughters costumes together so they are very happy!!!!!

See you all next week!!!!!
Maureen

That's okay Jan, you know Phil is either the "tall bald one" or the dreaded "Darth Vader." I'll tell you about the other next week when I see you.
I think I have everything for the tort stuff. Copied all the directions for the items both ours and Jans'. I think I have the door covered. I just have to figure out the writing on the sign. Calligraphy isn't me. But I will do my best. I have a number of post cards. I want to put some information on the back like the State Bird etc. also our email and address. I figure I can do that in the van on the way down. I couldn't find the picture you wanted Jan. No shots of the star on South Mt. Plan to try again this weekend.
We are a bit confused on how the dressing for the various nights works. If you are in the rotation and are in one of the fancier restaurants how do you handle say the Mexicalifragilistic night? I have a skirt I can wear but wanted to wear slacks and a rather noisy shirt that night.
We are due for heavy rain tonight and tomorrow and are under a flood watch. Maybe we will at last get rid of the brown patches where Phil killed the clover.
We are leaving a week from tomorrow. I am just not going to be ready. So many things I keep thinking I must do. Oh well what doesn't get done won't matter.
Off to the ironing that I can hear calling me from the family room... Oh sorry that was the cats. Estelle

Maureen - We are so happy to hear the good news about your Mom. Don't worry about not being able to get the postcards & local treats. We all understand what you have been going through.

Estelle - Did you read Michelle the Webmasters posting on dressing for dinner? I emailed it to you. I'm sure no matter which restaurant you're at for the Mexicalifragilistic Night you'll be dressed for the part. Have Fun With It!!! I'm wearing a sundress and Paul's wearing a new tropical dress shirt and slacks. The slacks and noisy shirt sound great to me. Patty:sunny:

Is there some way that the first people at the Radisson can leave a message for the rest as to when and where the MEETS will occur?

Why don't we leave messages at the front desk for "DIS Cruisers"?

Maureen--I'm happy for your good news concerning your mom's health!!

We filled out our Docs yesterday and gathered our passports & Disney Passes (because we'll be going to MK after the cruise).

Haha, I love my eyeshadow too but Im not terribly inventive with it cos it's banned in school but every1 wears it anyway and gets away with it so long as its subtle. Actually, it doesnt even have to be subtle, I went thru a phase where I wore pink or purple eyeshadow and blue eyeliner, they didnt ever say anything to me.

We're leaving in 2 days (im not counting today!) yay!

MAUREEN:
:) THANKS FOR SHARING THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT YOUR MOM. :) Let's hope and pray that what it "really" is, is something minor and easily treated! :)

EMMA AND RORY: I knew a lady who once wore lipstick on her eyelids and eyeshadow on her lips. (strange)

ESTELLE: Don't worry about the postcard with the star--I have seen it for real.
Patty is right about the outfits. When it is a theme night, you dress for the theme. Otherwise follow the guidelines as sent by DCL and clarified by Michelle.

SUZANNE: Leaving one message for all the DIS CRUISERS is a great idea!! Then each of us can check when we register and add to it if we want to--a note at the front desk like OUR THREAD on the DIS!! :)

EVERYONE: Don't worry about what you can and cannot bring to share or participate in.
:bounce: WE ARE GOING ON VACATION!! :Pinkbounc
We are going to have a nice time, no requirements--OK?--just fun and congeniality! :)

Jan :earsgirl:
