Calling Halloween Cruisers!

I do want to exchange postcard and I do have goodies to share. Maybe I will make up Adult T-or-T baggies.

My notes show the terminal opens at 10:30. What time is the safety drill? Is it about 4:00? I can't remember. Patty:earsgirl:

Ginger, you make a good point about too much going on & not being able to get to your luggage!!! (we may not even have luggage until 6:00 PM) which would mean that we'd have to carry our goodies in our carry on luggage and I think that is too much. I don't want to carry any more in there than I will already be doing.

Patty, Yes, I think the safety drill is at 4:00 PM.

Well upon mature reflection maybe tort day would be better. I am going to be heavily weighed down (like an anchor) with all the things I want to carry in my carry on. I just bought some more different regional food for the adults. Seems there is a place in Hanover Pa. which is just a wee bit south of us that makes some thing that isn't candy and travels well. So I bought a bag of 36 little bags. I think that should be enough to cover everyone.
Now I have to explain it to the DH who didn't go marketing with me and asked me first thing when he got home what that was.
Lynne, my friend will be home next week drop me an email and let me know when you might be available for a trip to the lovely Lehigh Valley. Thanks.
Off to lunch and the big explanation. Estelle

ESTELLE: you are too funny.
How did the "big explanation" go?

SOMEONE: Please refresh my leaking brain--who has the leis? Have we a plan for passing them out or should we each be looking for our own now that Halloween costumes are in Wal-Mart and some places have year-round party stores.

Adult T or T bags works for me--whatever the majority thinks.

If we have our cruise list and/or map of our staterooms on the ship, we can leave each other messages--YAH!! Post-it-notes!! (wish I owned stock in 3M)

Estelle,
My Great-Grandma lived in Allentown forever. Not far from you. I also have family in Reading. Oh, regional PA goodies--I can only imagine. You know what I miss the most? The Kiffles (sp?) that my g-gma used to make at Christmas for us! I haven't had them in years. I wish I had a recipe for them.
Sue Ellen

I have the leis! I have 24 right now and plan on getting about 20 more (DS's birthday is coming up so we'll hit the party store this weekend for supplies). My plan was to bring them to the Radisson/dinner (what are we doing, did we decide?) Friday night and give them out to whomever's there and then have them with me at the Port in my carryon and bring them to the Sailaway Party too.

I figure if we start wearing them, other DISers will recognize us more easily right? And it might help Shirley with the picture if we're all wearing them on deck.

I vote for TorT day too for the exchange - is the plan to have TorT around 11 ish? (?) and then go to lunch? We could do the exchange at lunch? I assume we're going for a sit down lunch that day right?

I can't believe I haven't mentioned it yet! My cus and I want to join in on the T or T fun! There's only one problem. I can't explain why, but we won't be getting our room number until we arrive at the terminal. Is there anyway that our room could be like maybe the Extra Credit? I could meet with someone and get them the room number at some point on the cruise. My mom is the owner and cheif of Presentaions Gifts of a Lifetime. We could really make something excellent for the kids. BTW, what is the count? And what is the plan. Sorry I'm not so up to date!:(

Sorry, I'm so dumb! For those of you who don't know, Presentations: Gifts of a Lifetime is a company that sets up special events for people coming to Disney. If you want you can go to:

Gifts of a LIfetime

DId ya'll see that someone on the 10/24 got their docs today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Debby - you are exactly right, when we are in green leis and hallmark hair ribbons and Raymond t-shirts and whatever else.....we will stand out from the crowd!!!

I have nothing interesting to say but I aint posted here in a while so i decided I would post a usless message.

Oh you all remember when I went to Venice and I was worried about room arrangements? Well, one of the girls I ended up sharing with has invited me to her party. OK so she invited the whole choir but I dont have to feel awkward about going cos I know her!

EMMA: What fun! Let us know how the party goes! :)

I saw the Fed Ex truck this morning, but he did not stop at my house. I just heard a truck..........nope--no Fed Ex package--I just checked. Soon, though. Right?

I just checked out the GIFTS OF A LIFETIME site. Wow--would it be fun to be a Pixie!

One thing about Halloween that I like is that my favorite color gets a lot of play time--:) :Pinkbounc YAH PURPLE! :Pinkbounc :)

:) At Walgreens pharmacy today I found a box of a 50 bulb string of PURPLE! lights for $2.99 ;). Guess what will be serving instead of a nightlight in our inside stateroom! ;)

My thought exactly Karen--with leis, shirts, flags from Dan and/or Hallmark ribbons, Shirley will not be able to miss us for the photo-op and we will not be able to miss each other (unless we want to--and who would?)

Jan :earsgirl:

Okay Jan--I saw purple first. Remember I am OLDER THAN DIRT!! That is of course purple dirt. There are no colors like purple.
I think I have this right now. We meet at the Radisson on Friday night at the pool. We may or may not go out to dinner, oh I think we meet at 7:30 PM. We then go to the dock Saturday morning at some unknown time. We wait around and eventually they let us on board. Then we do whatever ressie or what have you. At 4PM we have Titanic Drill. Women and children first. Then we go to Deck 10 on the starboard side and wave madly at Shirley as we slip by. Or do we actually sail in the AM and do the drill before they let us in our cabins? This part is really confusing for one who has never done this before. I bet all the answers are in the yet to arrive papers from DCL. Right?
I bought all the drugs and first aid items I have on my cruise list
today. My food bill was quite high. Oh well I am ready. All sorts of bandaids, sun block, Immodium AD, Dramamine (non drowsy). And some other sundry items that no one will need but we will have just in case. I can't decide whether this in the mother thing or the once a nurse always a nurse thing. Probably a bit of both. Oh yeah girl scout leader too. The DH wants to check the stock exchange for today so I am off. Estelle

That's the way I understand it exactly! I know we don't sail until after the lifeboat drill.

I think I have all the clothing I want/need/desire now. Dh has his cape and needs fangs and I'll probably go as his victim. The kids are set. It's all coming together nicely (remind me I said that when I'm freaking out packing soon)

Estelle - You should be able to go to your stateroom shortly after you board the Magic. For the Titanic Drill you have to go to your stateroom to get your lifejackets and then you go to your assigned station. Before the drill and after you make all your ressies don't forget to go to Topsiders for the Welcome to the Magic buffet!!! Yummy:teeth: Patty

SIX WEEKS! SIX WEEKS! SIX WEEKS! SIX WEEKS! WOO HOO!!!

Okay, I'm excited. Can you guess how long it will be before we get to Florida? hmmmm, come on now, it's a toughie! okay, okay, uncle--I give! SIX WEEKS!!

See y'all real soon!

Sue Ellen

SUE ELLEN: Nice to CHAT with you on the Cruise discussion forum tonight. I hope Guest 52 shows up sometime on here. Thanks for putting up with my inexperience.

ESTELLE: I told Sue Ellen that if DS needs holding and we are in the same diningroom, we could help. She thinks late seating will be difficult with a baby.
And yes, I think it is your nursing coming through. We will call your cabin the "pharmacy."

While we wait to board we can be looking at our first NAVIGATOR to see what show is on and at what time so we can decide what to do before and after dinner.

Six weeks--are you sure?? Seems like it is sooner than that at the same time it seems farther away.

Jan :earsgirl:

SIX WEEKS!!!!!!

Oh heavens I'm NOT ready. I can think of lots of things I don't have that I MIGHT need. You never know what will come up when you least expect it. I just know I'll forget something important. Like... now where did I put that passport?
Sue Ellen-- Jan and I love babies and would be glad to hold them. I can even practice before since oldest DD is owner of two day care centers and I get to go to one daily. What size are we talking about here? I can practice on anything from 6 weeks to 6 years. Usually I just do their laundry but the kids all know me so practice should be a snap.
Speaking of laundry I am off to work on ours. Estelle
