Where on Deck 10, Starboard, are you planning on meeting, Forward, Midship or Aft?

While we wait to board we can be looking at our first NAVIGATOR to see what show is on and at what time so we can decide what to do before and after dinner.
Are they now giving out the Navigators at check-in?
We meaning my family only have 5 more weeks, arriving in Fl. on the 18th.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: I started my pre-packing this morning.

Rory, what is your cuz's name and age. I need to go to page 21. to update the T-or-T list.

I thought Barb and Tony said that the first Navigator was given out at registration. I could be wrong.

Isn't the Sail Away party at the Family Pool? Goofy pool? I thought Deck 10 Starboard Mid ship. Then we can see the party and see the land passing us by and be seen by Shirley and Norm at The Grill for our Embarkation Photo. But, like the sharing items for adults, I am open for suggestions. What does anyone else think?

ESTELLE: I think Sue Ellen's DS is 18 months. She told us on the Chat last night but I am not sure I got it right.

I think Rory's cousin's name is JESSICA.

GUEST 52 from the DIS CHAT 9-13-02--where are you? Hoping you will check in!! :)

Jan :earsgirl:

Midship Deck 10 Starboard sounds good to me. That way we can see the Sailaway party on deck 9.

According to my notes I think SueEllen's son is 13 months. We've got late seating too so if I see two women fighting over a baby I'll know SueEllen is nearby. Patty:earsgirl:

PATTY, PATTY, PATTY, Estelle and I have known each other for ever, we are older than dirt. For one or both of those reasons, we don't fight--we cooperate-- either from respect or fatigue.

Jan :earsgirl:

Jan - I can tell you two are very good friends. I'm sure you'll be taking turns holding SueEllen's baby.
Is Guest 52 someone new to our cruise group? Patty:D

Guest 52 showed up at the chat last night. Goofydisney, Sueellen and I were there too. Guest 52 reported that their cruise was October 26, MAGIC Western, but did not know about our thread so the hosts put the address up on the screen. I invited Guest 52 to check in and join us.

I wanted that name on here in case they do, they will see themselves welcomed.

have a super day,
Jan :earsgirl:

HEY EVERYONE. Gosh, it seems like I can only find time to get on here once every couple of days, and when i do check in you guys have written so much. I feel kind of left out.:D

JAN I believe you will get the first navigator when you register.

Midship deck 10 sounds great to me too. That is where I always go for the sailaway celebration. It's a little less crowded than deck nine.

I don't think we will do dinner on Friday night, but we will meet at the pool at 7:30 or whatever time is decided on.

We still have not found a costume for my DD. She is getting anxious.:) And I am not sure what I will do yet costume wise.
I think that we have all the clothes we need. We have done alot of shopping over the past 2 weekends:Pinkbounc

I am starting to get my TorT bags together for the children. Not sure what to do for the adults yet.

Thats all for now

Dena:earsgirl:

Questions for the experienced cruiser on the sail away deck party: Will there be any characters on deck 10 for the sail-a-way party, or only on deck 9? I promised the kids they could dance with characters at the sail-a-way party after the lifeboat drill. Please say yes, or we will have to be in two places at once!

Estelle – My E-mail address in njfamily@optonline.net. I’ll send you a separate E-mail sometime this weekend

Rory – you and your cuisine brings the count up to 21 participants! You can get me the room number after you board. Just leave a message for room 8584 with your room number the first day or two after we board. You are not the only family that wants to participate that doesn’t know their room number, no problem!

Anyone else for the T or T? Just add your info!

I had my first pre-cruise nightmare last night. Dreamed that I got called into work for a problem the day before we were leaving, had to go into the office and work through the night and ended up getting home 15 minutes before we had to leave for the airport and I had not done any packing! Of course I couldn’t pack the bags quick enough and we missed our flight. That’s where the dream ended, I didn’t even get the part where we forgot our birth certificates so they would not let us on the ship. I guess my mind is saving that one for another night!

Estelle - I sent you a PM on 9/8/02, on the dress alterations. I just checked and I see that you have not read it yet. Perhaps you didn't get a notification that it was sent to you? Anyway, please see the PM I sent.

Here was Trevor three weeks ago:

Trevor%20Expo%2011%20months.jpg

Yes, he will be 13 months--but acts more like an 18 month to 2 year old. He is very active and happy. Also very resourceful (and is trying to climb out of his crib already OH NO!) He is all boy, and is the sweetest thing you will ever see.

As for dinner--if we are stuck with late seating it will be a nightmare. We are waitlisted for early. He gets very tired around 7:30 or 8:00, and trying to get him to sit for dinner WON'T be pleasant for anyone. I was BEGGING on the phone for early seating, so we will have to wait and see what happens.

I had a good time in chat. I'm really looking forward to the cruise. We are still working on costumes. I've had some good ideas but my DD (who is 11) isn't too keen on some of them.

M I C -- See ya'll real soon!

Sue Ellen

Lynne this will be our 5th Disney Cruise and I don't recall ever see any characters on Deck 10, for the sail away party. Usually they are dancing on the Goofy Pool Stage. The kids do get on stage to dance with them. We'll be back (deck 9,) and forth (deck 10, with the others) till the ship starts to sail away then you'll find us on Deck 10, forward.

Jan, the Goofy Pool is the family pool.

Sue Ellen, last week I called to pre-pay our onboard credits and the lady asked me if I wanted to change Ray and Tony's dinner reservation to dine with us. They have late we have early. I am Ray and Tony's acting TA. Maybe you should give them a call or have your TA call. BTW Trevor is adorable.

JAN- Very good! Yes, my cousin's name is Jessica. She's fourteen, like Emma and me (that is, I will be in 22 days!)

LYNNE- Okay, I'll leave you guys a message like the first or second day. WOW! 21 participants!!!

EMMA- Congradulations on getting invited to the party! I don't have anything very interseting to say, just one question: Do you like Sean Biggerstaff? His picture's in my avavtar.

WE WON OUR BASKETBALL GAME! 45-17. LETS GO LADY LIONS!

We will definately be mid ship deck 10 for sailaway.

Sue Ellen and Jan-- the answer to Trevors' problems with late dinner may be asleep in the lounge chair behind me. We have friends who have a DDS (definately Disney Son) who is three. His idea of great pal is Uncle Phil. Something about the moustache and the glasses seems to fascinate small beings.
Lynne, got the pm. Took me a minute to figure out how. But now I know. Sent answer.
Question-- Do we need our birth certificates? I think I know where ours are but I'm not sure. There is a nightmare waiting to happen.
Spent the afternoon in King of Prussia Mall with youngest DD. Shopped and bought something to wear to dinner on a just dinner night. Was looking sort of for a wrap to wear over or have with me while wearing cocktail/formal dress. Found a lovely one in Neiman Marcus. Then looked at price and thought about fainting. Piece of velvet lined in silk black beads...$1769.00!! Hey for that price I could make them myself and charge a whole lot less.
Jan-- how does one get to the chat area?

Since I wasn't home this afternoon I now have to go and remove the wrinkled laundry from the washer and put it in the dryer. Estelle

Sue ELlen, don't wait for DCL to call you...call every other day or once a week to see if they can change your dining seating yet. Sometimes they will do your wait list automatically, but considering what is at stake, I would start calling on your own! I am getting pretty excited. We should get our docs at the beginning of the week.

SO, estelle, you bought two of those dresses, right? :)

Lynne- Oh what a nightmare!!

Trevor is adorable!! Can't wait to meet him!

Estelle~Yes, you do need your birth certificates (unless you have a passport) Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

You certainly have good tastes in clothes! LOL (or at least expensive tastes ;-) )

I got the rest of the leis - I think I have 40 total which will hopefully be enough? I figure if at least one in each party wears them, we can spot each other easily right?

Dh got his "fangs" and some fake blook for his face and my neck - I think he is actually starting to get excited about this. The kids are thrilled with us dressing up with them.

Trevor is adorable!!!! Lynne, I haven't even begun to think about nightmares (thankfully) but dh was laughing when I told him yours!

We went to dinner with our kids who were totally finished and ready to go once we got our food. I told them that when this happened on the boat they could go play in the kid's clubs once they're done eating. They seem excited by the idea and I look forward to actually finishing a meal instead of inhaling it!

Off to catch Trading Places - anyone else addicted?

The Characters dance on the Goofy Stage and deck which is a covering over the Goofy pool--the family pool--on deck 9 for the sail away. People can watch the party from deck 10 and see the sail away as we go. Anyone wanting to be with the characters could do that before and after we pass The Grill for our photo shoot or not as they see fit. No pressure--right?

ESTELLE: There was a thread on the Forum yesterday saying that there would be a Cruise Chat at 9 Eastern time. I think this will take you to it:
http://198.65.141.55/chat/world/html/login.html
You can go to it when an official discussion is not happening, but there is not often anyone there.

ESTELLE: The beaded velvet cape sounds lovely--you could get me one for my Birthday present.

DENA: Glad to have you on the thread when you can be here. Hope our silliness is not overwhelming when you show up and find so much to read.

SUE ELLEN: Trevor is ADORABLE!! Perhaps you need a dog like NANA in Peter Pan to follow him around during dinner instead of someone to hold him.

DEBBY: If the kids finish dinner early would one of you take them to the Oceanears' Club? or is there some CM who would do that?

Jan :earsgirl:

Estelle - If you are using a birth certificate make sure it has the raised seal on it. If you have a passport then you are all set.

Sue Ellen - Trevor is so cute. Does he have strawberry blonde hair? Patty:earsgirl:

I cant really see him cos the picture is teeny and I dont have a clue who he is!

Ya know the best thing about it only being 6 weeks? I only have 5 more weeks of school before I get a 2 week holiday!

Debby – WOW, another TS fan! Trading Spaces is my absolute favorite show. I caught the two new shows last night. What did you think of the new designer they had on last night? Can’t remember his name? I loved the bedroom when he was finished, well, the throw rug did nothing for me, but the rest of the room was great. My next door neighbor and I keep talk about applying to the show, but we haven’t applied yet, she is due to have baby number 3 in January, so I figure it is best to wait to apply until after that big event.

Estelle, I sent you another PM last night when you were online, but you have not read it yet. Perhaps you have your PM notifications disabled? Anyway, there is a message waiting for you.

Sue Ellen – I agree with everyone else, Trevor is adorable. Makes me want to put a picture of my two cutie-pies on line for everyone to see. Guess I’ll have to try to figure out how to embed a picture to these posts sometime soon.

Still no custom for Adam. Checked out the Disney Store on Friday, but everything looked to warm to me. Of course, Emily talked us into adding a headband and a wand to the Cinderella custom we bought for her last spring, so she was happy. Guess we will try to check some other stores today. Don’t think DH and I will be dressing for the event, but who knows, maybe we will change our minds.
