Calling Halloween Cruisers!

My DD wants to know why the computer is sneezing....I just told her that everyone on our boards is allergic to cats. She says "Bless You".

P.S. Did everyone see the special Bear in the Big Blue House episode about the tree falling on the library? It was on yesterday and today and tomorrow. By the time Bear says to Ojo, "Sometimes sad things happen to buildings." I was in full blown sobs. I think they did a great job of trying to help little ones understand why eveyrone is anxious and sad. WHile kids can't really understand the unbelievable loss of life and the buildings and the planes, they can pick up on the fact that people are emotional about something. Bear did a great job of addressing those kinds of feelings without having to show the images of why adults are feeling like this and using the tree and the library to illustrate lots of things like people losing their homes, being afraid of the tree, the community getting together to talk about it and help. Forgive me...i am tearing up again. And BTW, did anyone know that Bear lives in WOodland Valley and that they have a movie theatre run by a shy armadillo? It was pretty cool.

Chorus is tomorrow for us. Tomorrow is going to be sooooooo busy. Besides having a Math Quiz tomorrow,I have advanced chorus at 7:20 AM, Beginning chorus (I'm the assisstant director!) at 1:30 PM, I have to watch the JV girls basketball game at 4:00 PM and I have to play in the Varsity girls basketball game at 5:00 PM. Oi vey!

Anyway, EMMA: It is confirmed and me and my cuz will be on the Teen Cruise in Cozumel. Yipee!

What excursion(s) is everyone doing? We're doing the Glassbottom boat in Key West, the Stingray City and Discover Grand Cayman package in Grand Cayman, the Teen Cruise in Cozumel, and we're getting the castaway cay getaway package in the sunny island of Castaway Cay!

46 days!

Thank you for all the "God Bless Yous". It was me who was sneezing my head off. ;)

Jan, it only shows up on one page because I put it in the post and not in the signature (wouldn't THAT be annoying if every time I posted there was also a sneeze. LOL!!) It's done with HTML by imbedding the sound into the background.

Okay, general bless you for everyone.
Lynne-- my friend says she will be glad to do the alterations and she may be available next week. She and her husband were going to Vermont but think they may go in October instead. I'll know for sure on Friday. My email address is pntaylor123@att.net. I probably have yours on the cruise spread sheet. But it might be a good idea to send me yours.
I have a Halloween costume for me. I would wear it to dinner if they changed the formal night. I won't if the costume parade or what have you is later in the evening. I expect to be very warm, I think I might just wear a bathing suit under it. It won't show.
Jan, you could wear certain dresses that are used for things like Reniance (okay I can't spell it) Faires. And actually some of the Disney Princess' dresses would be fine for formal/semiformal meals.
Off to feed the felines and rest the knees for tomorrows injections. Estelle

Tinkerbellpixie4goal: We are doing the stingray excurstion in cayman and excaret in cozumel. We don't have anything set for the keys.

As far as costumes for me and DH, we won't be dressing up on the boat. I have a nice gown that I think I will wear and I am considering gettin a tiara to wear.:) I am going to dress as a daisy when we go to MNSSHP. Last year I was a butterfly.:) My DH does NOT like to wear costumes.

I went into SAMS CLUB (I hope everyone knows what that is) the other day and saw some key lime pie. It reminded me of this post when everyone was talking about key lime pie. Anyway, has anyone ever had it from Sams? Was it any good? I was thinking if it was good maybe I would pick up a couple and bring them to the Radisson on Friday evening for everyone. Let me know what you think.

Suzanne - Bless You! You had my DH and me laughing our heads off. Very creative.

Jan - I just bumped the Castaway Cat thread for you and anyone else interested. Plus here's the picture too.

I think your idea of the poor victim for the vampire is a good one. The victims are always in beautiful gowns before they are attacked. (Maybe that isn't such a good idea.) Patty;)

SUZANNE: Very clever of you to do that sneeze effect.

RORY: We are going on the Catamaran Snorkel in Key West and Shipwreck snorkel in Grand Cayman in the morning. On Cozumel and Castaway Cay we will use our own equipment for snorkeling.

ESTELLE: Keep us posted on the knees.

DENA: Estelle's DH does not like to dress up either. I told her that he is dressing up as a retired engineer on vacation. Of course, that means he will be wearing the same thing he would otherwise wear.

PATTY: Thanks for sending me the address for the Castaway Cat thread!!

And thanks for embedding the address for the picture in our thread!!

Have a nice day all,
Jan :earsgirl:

That's great!!!! And we call it choir not chorus! Actually, I have it tomorrow but its the choir we took too venice instead of the one with all the new people. Therefore, its the good one!

Rory posted the following on a thread
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=261497
about hair braiding:
I had my hair done last december and I kept it in for a week. i have thin hair. Some came out, but not lots. I had it done at Castaway Cay. When we went to St. Maarten you couldn't walk two steps with out someone asking if you wanted your hair braided. When we went to St. Thomas I twisted my hair up and hid it in a hat.
I think it is a great idea. :) I usually wear a visor on trips, but I am thinking of looking for a cheap squishable hat tomorrow to pack. YAH! RORY!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Our Walmart just started carrying Hallmark cards so I was able to get the lime green, orange & black curling ribbon that Jan was talking about. I also went through my dresses trying to decide which ones to where on what nights. I also dug up my costume I had made for MNSSHP '98. It still had the MNSSHP sticker on it.

Dena - Walmart carrys Edwards keylime pie. If Sams Club carrys the same brand it was really delicious. Edwards keylime pie won 1st prize in a pie contest last year. Patty:earsgirl:

Are we still planning to each bring some food item to share from our regions? If so, when will be have the sharing?

Jan :earsgirl:

I don't know how many football fans we have here but yesterday we lost the greatest quarterback every. The legendary Hall of Famer "Johnny Unitas", pasted away after suffering a heart attack. We will miss him.

Howdy gang!!!! We are getting excited. I have passed the Fed Ex guy in our town (yes, we live in a small town), like 10 times on the road today. We wave and smile. I think he has my docs and is just torturing me!!!! He is a very nice guy, but maybe he has this really dark side that I don't know about.

Yes, we were sorry to hear about Johnny U. He was so young to go.

Rory - you are too funny!

I am glad ya'll enjoyed my 1000th post thread! It was a lot of fun.

I'm game. I thought we would be doing this while we are waiting to get on the ship? (gotta keep busy somehow ;) ) LOL

What time will most people be arriving on Saturday? I think we'll get over there fairly early as we will be staying at the Radisson.

I think he has my docs and is just torturing me!!!!
LOL!!

I can't remember, does the terminal open at 11:00am? Also when will we exchange our postcards? It seem that the only time that we will all see each other will be while we are T-or-T'ing. We can't exclude those folks who can't arrive early to the terminal.

I am wondering if we should just plan to meet at Deck 10 Starboard for the sail away. We can get our flags and lei's then and settle up with (--oh, oh--brain leak--who is getting the leis again?? .)

We could pass out the postcards and regional snacks then. That way we would all be there and Shirley and Norm can get our picture as we sail past the GRILL. (She said she would if we remind her. Then somehow she will get the picture to someone--if she has a digital camera it can be sent as an e-mail attachment and then whoever wants it can print it out for their scrapbooks. I invited them to the Radisson Friday night so if they can come and meet some of us, they may be able to recognize us as we pass them.)

What other ideas do people think would work? :)

Jan :earsgirl:

I think meeting on deck 10 starboard seems like a good plan. And I think I can figure out how to bring the cards and the edibles. One question does come to mind. How many? We should have a number for sure.
We will be getting our documents from our travel agent. I keep having this nightmare that she'll keep calling us and getting the answering machine and not leaving any message. I will be getting a LITTLE edgy if everyone else starts getting theirs and we haven't heard anything.
Visited the Cast Away Cay site. Cute cat.
DH needs to use computer so I'm off for a while. Estelle

We can't exclude those folks who can't arrive early to the terminal.

That's true...

Either deck 10 at sail away or T or Treating day..... either one is fine with me.

We're at the mercy of the DCL bus that is scheduled to leave from our hotel at about 11:45. The sailaway party seems a good idea for the postcard exchange and the regional edibles.

We also booked with a TA so I guess I can forget about chasing down the FedEx man. My nightmare is my TA will call me and I won't be able to get there right away. With her business hours & my work hours the only day I can get to her is on Wednesday. If she calls on Thursday could I survive until Wednesday. Patty

there is just a little to much going on, on Saturday. We can't get into our rooms till after 1:00, our luggage may or may not show there by 1pm. Ressies to be made, lunch, kids to be check in to the clubs, fire drill, watch the dolphins swim as the ship leaves the decks and dinner at 5:30. :earseek: Boy I'm tired just thinking about it.
