Well let me see if I can explain what happened with Ray without getting this post deleted or me blocked from posting. Ray posted outside of this thread displaying his t-shirt site and a moderator deleted his post. It seems that some folks on these boards can display their business websites, email addresses and more to drum up business and some can't. I have a part time job that I am not allowed talk about here. I have had post in the past deleted and I was not advertising at all I just mentioned that I am a..... and got deleted.
By no means did Ray want to take away any business from this site. Why he even sent money to be a sponsor. Ray and Tony are nicest, most easy going people you would ever want to meet.
Yes Dan, Ray's input to this board will be greatly missed. I know I have asked for him to please forgive and forget and come back to help us put our Halloween Cruise together. Last year was the best time we have ever had and it was because of all the planning in advance that we ALL put into it that made it so wonderful.

Estelle I emailed Ray today with some questions about the ordering process. I do beleive that it may be corrected now. If not email Ray for help.

I had to make a Key Lime Pie after reading about Key West today. YUMMY, I don't know about anyone else but it's time I started my cruising diet. I shed a few to gain a few. LOL

Estella I am getting a white polo for myself and Bill, I want an ex-large tank top to wear over my bathing suit, Ashley wants a purple tee-shirt. Ray sent Ashley a t-shirt with Tinkerbell embroider on it,he made it with the thread that changes colors in the sun. It's so cute, she loves it and I want one.

Thanks for the help Ginger. I ordered two purple shirts and I hope the whole thing went thru correctly. I do like the logo and really wish Ray would consider forgiving and come back. I read his posts from early on and he seems like a really nice person. I am still working on plans for the costume and door decorations. Getting a little excited now. But first comes the trip with the adult children to New England in August. Seems everything is creeping up on me. I forgot that Sunday is Fathers Day and have done nothing about a gift oh well he does Christmas on the 24 so I guess I can do Dad on the 15th. Bye for now Estelle

I once left a discussion board (not this one) after a falling out with friends (not mods) I was gone for about 10 months before I went back. In those 10 months I had not found another place just like the one I left, so I just popped back in and was welcomed. (several had emailed me prior to coming back and told me that I'd be welcomed back anytime.) Anyways, my point being is that Ray could come back. It's the friends on the boards that are important.

I was reading a trip report about how some DIS-ers had got together on a cruise and had also exchanged post cards from their home. What do you think? Would you like to exchange post cards?

What a lot happens when I cannot read the posts for a couple days because of having to go to work.

SUZANNE: For the Caribbean night I plan to wear a tank top and one of those swim suit wraps that can be tied as a skirt. We bought it in Nassau last year. Depending on what you do in the ports and when the Caribbean dinner is, you could get one during the cruise to wear. Tom bought a Caribbean shirt at the same stall that is a pretty close match. Tevas are my footwear of choice and are approved by my podiatrist and since my attempt to wear dressy sandles to church on Sunday was not really successful, I may not even bring them on the cruise.
Can you explain the postcard idea?

Did I understand that the adults will be trick or treating also? If we plan to give out toys would we give out the same to adults?

Are Tony and Ray not coming on the cruise or are they not posting on the boards? I hope they will decide to do both.

EMMA: What is the latest with the US in the Soccer matches? I remember that we beat Protugual but that was the last I heard.

OK, the US are playing Poland today and it will determin wether or not they continue to the last 16. They drew 1-1 with South Korea.

Some of us exchanged post card last year with our names and addresses on them. I loved the idea when Christmas came along I just pulled out those post cards for everyones mailing addresses. I'll bring Maryland post cards.

Tony and Ray will be with us at the Radisson and on the cruise.

For those arriving a day early and staying at the Radisson what time will you be arriving at MCO? What form of transportation will you be using to get to the hotel?

Please excuse me for being so dense, but I am still not getting this postcard thing. We have been on trips where people exchanged business cards or return address labels. It sounds like you are saying that people bring a stack of postcards from their home area and write their name and address on them. Then what--hand them out and people save them? Wouldn't business cards or return address labels be faster and easier to store? I personally liked the return address idea as all I had to do at home was stick them in the appropriate page of the address book.

Tom has started getting in the mood by reading this thread and a few others I subscribed to. Each morning he updates me on what all of you have shared. He noticed that I had not included our vacation at Vero Beach so now that is in our list.

Glad to hear that I will get to meet Tony and Ray.

I think part of the idea behind the 'post card' thing instead of mailing labels or business cards is that you get to SEE a bit of where the other person comes from. It's not a requirement that everyone do a post card thing... just a suggestion.

re: adults trick or treating. I'm a real party pooper! LOL I don't know if I will even be dressing up... we'll see if dh can convince me. But I didn't get the impression that the adults do T or T-ing also? Do they, Ginger?

We don't have our air transportation yet. So I don't know exactly when we will be arriving. As far as transfers from MCO to Radisson... I won't be using DCL transfers... tooo expensive LOL I think we are leaning towards renting a town car or limo. We had thought about renting a car from Avis, but since we probably won't really need to go anywhere else, we'll probably let someone else do the driving. Then we don't have to bother checking in & getting the car, checking out and then the same thing to get back to the airport.

Postcards sounds kinda kool. I just thought I should update you on the USA/Poland match. The US lost 3-1 but due to South Korea beating Portugal, the USA have gone through to the next round. They will play Mexico on Monday

I had to actually sit down and figure out all the things I wanted to answer. I am working on the DH and the Radisson. I think he is leaning in that direction. We will be arriving a day or two early so DH can get to visit Cape Canaveral before the cruise. Been to Florida every year since 1987 and he has never had the chance because we were always at that place with the mouse. (or his parents). We will be driving the family mini van so that if there is some need for a vehicle we'll have one.
Thanks Emma for the update on the USA and our standings in the games. Unfortunately our press doesn't think any one is interested and I happen to like soccer.
The post cards are a great idea. It will be fun to see the other places that the people on the thread are from. And we have some really lovely ones from here.
I think I just figured it out correctly that there are only 133 days until we will be on that Magic boat.

Jan I am trying to get Phil to read this and so far he has managed to be his usual self. Maybe if I tell him that Tom has been reading them he will start. I'll try that.

We(the adults) didn't collect candy last year. We just dressed up with the kids, you know to get into the spirit of things.
Actually the post cards were part of the homework assignment for some of the children who missed school to go on the cruise. From each post card they learned a little bit about the states their fellow cruiser were from.

Well I'll keep you updated on Mondays game and the other games if there are any for the USA. It's soccer mad over here, Im supposed to be singing in a cathedral to get used to the acoustics on the day of the final but we're seeing if we can change it so we can watch it! We being the choir!

The other thing you could do with the post cards is put information about your town or state that is different from other places. I figure I will wear costume and give candy. But I have no plans to receive candy. Once you all see me you will understand that I don't need any more candy. This from one who just consumed a Hershey Bar. Today during my ds' baseball practice I read about all the excursions!! I printed of the Western Shore Excursions thread. Have any of you made any decisions about what/if any excursions you are going to be taking?
