Calling Florida?

Hi everyone.

What is the best way/cheapest way to call Florida?

I've not long moved to a new build house, so it has no land line, and will cost £125 to get one! Mad!

So I use my mobile. Is there any sim card that's good for international calls?

I'll be calling for ADR's, hotel requests, pre-booked dinners (Pirates dinner and arabian nights) to set a date for my meal etc so will be ringing quite a lot.

I don't even want to think how much it'll cost if I used mine! I rang not long ago, was on the phone for about a minute and it cost £3!

Can't help with mobile calls but don't you have access to a friend or relatives landline? I always use telediscount to call US at 1p/minute. Lots more companies here http://callchecker.moneysavingexpert.com/intcallchecker/usa

would be worth giving someone a few £ and using theirs at 1p/min.

What about using your computer and opening an account with Skype. It only cost us about 20 pence to ring home from the US this year for about a 20 minute phone call. You can set it up for about £8 or at least that was the price last year, your computer would need a mic in built or a separate one.
