This has got to be the very first time I've ever had a CM who didn't communicate well. I have never encountered this frustration from a CM before.
I called Disney Dining to find out what time the CP lunch packages start. Since we are not doing the CP the week we're going (11/29-12/8), I wanted to get an idea of when to make a general reservation for R&C so that we can avoid the CP crowd and have a chance at getting a reservation. When I talked to the CM, I told her the dates we will be down there. She then asks for my reservation number. I explained that she wouldn't be able to look that up since we are booked with a TA and I'm just trying to find out some general information to help us out.
The CM then looks up November 11. We're not even down there yet. We arrive on November 29. She then looks up the 25th. Um, again, we are not down there
. She then goes on to tell me the "dates" of the CP, which is not what I asked. I was really trying to be patient, but was quickly losing that. She finally understands what I'm asking and then looks up the lunch times for R&C for 12/1. After all this frustration, I just let her look up the one date. All I needed to know was when the CP lunch package starts for R&C so that we could work around it.
The CM didn't speak English that well and had a Spanish accent. After I went back upstairs to DH, I told him that I called Disney Dining and that I should have put him on since he speaks Spanish (DH's family is Spaniard). I think it would have been easier in the communication department for both parties.
I've always had great CM's when I call. This is the first time I have ever experienced a communication barrier.
