Calling CRO today....

I'm going to call CRO today and I need some advice

I already have a standard view room at Coronado booked from Aug 11th to the 18th but the rate is 176!! We're keeping this as our fall back alternative and going on to book another ressie.

So...my dad decided we're going to get an AP and stay at a Deluxe hotel using the discount (hopefully) So we're gonna call and book a room today.

We have decided on staying Aug. 21 - 24 at Poly (I've heard so many great things about it on this board that I decided to try it ) and Aug 25 - 28 at Beach Club (I've wanted to try this hotel for it's location and of course Stormalong Bay for years!)

Any suggesstion about room requesting? Should we request things we want now as well as faxing them a few days before our trip?

Also, during our stay at Poly it will be my Dad's birthday and during our stay at Beach Club it will be my parents 23rd wedding anniversary. Should we mention this?

Any reviews of these hotels, suggesstions on room with nice views etc...or examples of surprises left for birthdays or anniversaries would be great Thanks

definitely mention the birthday and anniversary! you may get something or nothing. and be sure to get a today is my birthday badge at MK or epcot for your dad. the ones at epcot have happy birthday in several languages. good luck!
