Calling CRO to get discount--Any tips?

Just called CRO (FINALLY!), hoping to get a discount for our stay at Pop Century from May 1-May 7. While the reservationist was very nice, no codes popped up, so the best rate I could get was $93 including tax with a AAA discount.
I put a hold on the room anyway, but I didn't put a deposit down. Should I try calling back in the hopes of getting a discount? Also, I know I shouldn't ask directly if they can give me a discount, but what should I say?

There currently aren't any discounts past April 16, according to Mousesavers, except for AAA - and those who got an email or postcard rate, that is.

I didn't find any codes on Mousesavers either for that time. I was talking about the codes that appear to randomly appear on the reservationist's screen, that are also in email or postcards.
