If I were to book a room now and a discount code came out later would I have to cancel the one I have already made and re-book using the code or would they just adjust the price?
Thanks
Mike

Usually and in the past, they would just apply the code to your already booked room/package IF
1.) the code applies to the Resort you are booked under
2.) there are rooms left under the code for the resort you want.

They usually just keep the same reservation # and make the dollar changes but things do change constantly and I haven't tried it this year yet. I have done this many times in the past as have others here. Good Luck!

What I've done in the past is call CRO and make a ressie under the code as if I were doing it for the first time. Once I knew that the code applied to me and was good for my dates and there were rooms available, I'd mention my existing ressie and ask if I should now cancel this one. They always just applied the code to the existing ressie except in 2001 when we made a ressie for PO/FQ but later applied the code to Riverside when rooms became available there. I guess if you stay in the same room, the reservation number stays the same.

I know if you book through DC and then want to book with a code through CRO, you have to cancel the DC ressie and start all over (which isn't hard, I've done it twice now). But what I'm wondering is what about booking through WDTC, do you start all over again then too? ~~

I did book thru DC the last time. When a better rate came out, I called back and changed it. However, they couldn't apply the money that I had already paid to the new ressie. I had used a check and AE card. So, they just put a credit on the credit card and sent me a refund check. Meanwhile, I sent them a check for the new deposit. Now, this time when I booked, I used my DC rate, and put the deposit on my DisneyCredit card. I'm hoping that when I call to change my rate, they'll just be able to switch the deposit over. I certainly won't make the mistake I made the last time and pay for the room completely 6 months out!!!

When a code came out for our upcoming February visit to AKL, I called CRO and they "modified" my reservation to reflect Code BRW. I requested and they sent a new confirmation with the word "modified" on it with the new Code BRW and revised price. The reservation also correctly listed my deposit. I was impressed with how smoothly this process went especially since I modified our reservations several times. We started out at ASMO with AAA rate and now have AKL with Code BRW .:bounce:

OK, I am ready to book...We are going May 25...I was going to wait until the codes came out...but it looks like I can make my ressies now and then go back and apply the code...thanks...amy

Another question please-
Did you book your original AAA rate through
a TA or direct. (WDTC told me I would have
to use a TA to book AAA rate-so I did).
Now I find out that I can't even get a code
applied without going through my reluctant
TA.
