I have been looking into temporary tattoos for the kids which you can have made with your mobile number on them for while you are at the parks, if your child gets lost then they have your number on them to be contacted.

Just a quickie though... what code etc do you have to phone to get through to the number? Is it just the standard 07.... or do you have to dial 001??

Obviously I need to get the right number otherwise they are pretty pointless! :rotfl:

you need the +44 mobile number !! We used our mobiles to each other and the only way it worked was with the uk dialling number before your mobile number !!

I believe that the plus is 011 numerically!!

So the number would be 01144 drop first 0 then your mobile number !!

I have done this before & so long as you have the number stored in your phone as +44 you'll be fine, if you don't you can dial 0044 and that does the same. Just drop the initial 0 as previously suggested.

As it's an international number it'll still work if you dial it in England, it'll work from anywhere in the world, so try & see what works. It'll be much cheaper than trial & error when in Florida.

:rotfl: Yes I think they are a good idea, I didn't want to marker them as it is apparently absorbed into the skin :goodvibes

Thank you :goodvibes I've got some of the wristbands, but DS is always pulling these off!

If your number is 07712 345 678

Then the tattoo number needs to be

0044 7712 345 678

:)

I love those tattoos, great Idea :)

oooohhh these are a good idea I didn't realise you could get these. Would they wash off easily if in the watery bits tho?!?!?!?!

Are you going to get me one 2 so you don't lose me :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Now I'm confused:confused3

We us the wristbands on our youngest 2 children and was advised to write our UK mobile number as 01144 and then the remainder of your UK mobile number ie 001144 7960 254*5*.

Good job we never lost any of them last year if this is wrong:rolleyes:

That is exactly what vodafone told us and we managed to dial ech other no problem !!!

The country code is 01144 I can only say it worked for us and we used our mobiles a lot !!

yes, the "plus" in the United States is 011 (not 00 as in the UK)...

that is, to call an international number when you are in the US you first dial 011, then the country code - 44 in this case...

when you are in the UK and want to call an international number you dial 00...
and that's also true in other countries - but NOT in the united states..
in the united states you must dial 011 first (not 00) and then the country code (44)..

so as several of the posters have noted, the number would appear as:
+44 - drop first 0 - then your mobile number
or writing out the + it would be:
011-44 - drop first 0 - then your mobile number

Thanks for all of the replies guys, I think I will get some of these tattoos and test call the phone first just to check, as you can buy ones to write on too :)
