Calling all Transit Authority Lovers!

The Wedway is one of our faves!!! My DD (4 yr old) asks for it several times a day when we are in the MK. Of course, in our house it is the Wedway, and that is what my DD calls it. Calling it the TTA always seemed wrong to me for more than one reason. ;) So, in our house...its the Wedway!!! (in our house it is pronounced Weed-way)

I can't believe how many others love this ride too!

Here's another mellow favorite that my family loved.......

The carousel of progress!! Corny, but there's just something about it. My 5 year old (at the time) kept saying it was her favorite!

Love it...DH and I love to sit and ride sitting next to each other with our feet up on the opposite seat...kinda our lounge spot in the MK..try it, it is great!!!

Go Wedway!!!!! I thought I was crazy when I had been away from Disney since the 70's and I returned with the Wedway People Mover memory stuck in my head and it WASN"T called that anymore. Thanks for helping me feel more sane! I also vividly remember the "If You Had Wings" ride - it was my favorite - and it had completely disappeared. Ok - dumb question, but I was only ten in the late 70's on my first and only visit with that ride.....Was it in the building where Buzz is now? That was what I thought as I rode it last year...
Wedway Forever!

Did not know there were so many other TTA fans. Add us to the list. Along with Carousel of Progress. One of our favorite spots to take in the Magic!

Me, too. Me, too! :grouphug: to all the fellow fans! And I too love Carousel of Progress. I know it is a bit cheesy (well, I do not think this but my angry sister said so after I made her sit through it!) but it is adorable and innocent, and above all, air conditioned!

We are fans too!! But will only call it the Wed Way People Mover:D

Yes, that's where "if you had wings" was. In fact, remember that tunnel where it felt like you were flying? (the "movie" was zooming by you on all sides) They still have that tunnel in Buzz.

I was trying to quote your question about "if you had wings"....I guess I don't know how to do that....oh well.

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many other TTA fans! It's such a nice relaxing ride. I really enjoy it at night when you can see the park all lit up. :D

Yay TTA!! DD3 LOVES this ride!! Every time we are in Tomorrowland we have to ride about a hundred times. It is so funny to look at pictures and see her face all lit up and then DH's face with its "please get me off this thing" look. It is the perfect way to take a quick break!!

"Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow"

Always a place to escape the crowds & rest your weary feet.

:earsboy: It made me smile to see the initial entry in this thread. This has always been one of my favorites - relaxing, not crowded...I still refer to it as the Wedway People Mover...but whatever the name it is still wonderful!

Our family also enjoys this ride. It'sa GREAT ride to rest your sore tootsies while waiting for Space Mountain or Buzz Lightyear.

We just relax with a cold bottle of water and let the cool air from SM hit us in the face!!! We usually ride it 3 or 4 times-- a GREAT ride!!

Last October, I wanted to take my kids on all the rides we missed last time, so I told them we were going on the TTA. My DD7, DS4 and DH thought "it sounds so boring". Well, it became their favorite ride (it actually tied with Splash Mountain). They especially loved seeing Space Mountain and Buzz as they rode in the super cool blue cars. My DD now always waves to the people riding the TTA when she is on the Buzz Lightyear ride. I love how fast-loading the ride is. What an absolutely relaxing experience for the whole family :D

Yes, they do have this at Disneyland. Or anyway, they did the last time I was there. I also call it the PeopleMover. Was "If I Had Wings" ever called "Dreamflight" (sponsored by Delta or maybe it was American)? I remember riding something called Dreamflight in 1994 in Tommorowland about the history of flight.
The only ride I don't miss are the skybuckets because, I'm sorry, those just really freaked me out!!!

Love this ride! Still think of it as the Wedway People Mover though!!

Me too, always ride Buz and get a fast pass or get fast pass then ride the People Mover rode three times once before everyone was ready to move on to another ride. Nice place to just relax....

Dreamflight replaced "If You Had Wings" in 1989 and Delta sponsored it. When Delta stopped sponsoning it in 1996 the name changed to "Take Flight " which was shut down for Buzz Lightyear. Thanks for the info about the People Mover in Disneyland! :earsgirl: :earsboy:

This is one of our favorite rides too. I just love to sit there and ride around and take a break. We got stuck in Space Mountain one evening and watched all the cars go up the hill. It was fun. can't wait to ride it again!
