Hi there, my family and I are heading to WDW 04/04/08 for the week and would like to take an afternoon or evening to do a little shopping and for some new spring duds. Does anyone have any suggestions where to go to the some good clothes at good prices? I think there a few outlet malls but you never now how "outlesh?" they are till you get there. I really don't want to spend a whole lot of time- I was thinking the day we arrive since it will be early and can get some clothes to wear while we are there. I know we will be hitting a Wal-mart but they are easy to find. Thanks for your help

you have premium outlet which isn't far from disney or even buena vista, but this one is quite small. I suggest premium outlet it is great. You can check it out on line.

There are outlets are both ends of I-Drive. There is prime at North End and Premium at the South End. Both are great. They both have disney outlet stores, addidas, lucky brand, gap, levi and loads others. They have websites you can access which tells you what stores are there.

Also a visit to a Mall can be great if there are sales. We loved Florida Mall, especially the M&M World store.

Thanks for your help! one more question... we will be staying at POP and we are contimplating either renting a car or taking a cab? there is 7 of us and with 3 booster seats it looks like a rental will cost the same as a cab. any thoughts?

We're at WDW right now and spent a rainy day last week going to 3 different malls to check out the Disney outlets. I was extremely disappointed in all three (though of the 3 Premium was the better). The "deals" were horrible frankly, as the stuff that they had at a good price was very obviously NOT from Disney, the quality of those T-shirts was terrible....thin material and the plasticy iron ons. The few clothes that seemed to be of true Disney quality were a few dollars less than comparable in Disney, but they were very outdated (2006, yes, 06!).

I have to say I really miss the Disney outlet store in Fullerton near Disneyland....that never disappointed us like these in Florida did!

Oh...and one of the outlets here, I think it was the LBV one, they had VERY loud hip hop (non disney) music playing. Besides the cheap merchandise this was a definite turn off. I don't mind some hip hop, though I'll admit I'm not a fan, but ANY non-disney music just ruined the shopping experience, lol. And so loud that my kids couldn't tell me anything without being right at my ear is a bad thing in ANY store.

We also cruised through many of the other stores, and I found the same thing in these outlets that I found at the outlets near my own home......the deals....aren't. I find less expensive, higher quality, bargains shopping the sales and after-sales at the regular mall. I have felt for a long time that the term outlet no longer means bargain, it's just a word to lure people in!

Haven't taken the time here in Florida to hunt down the true outlets, but most major towns have them if you know where to look....and it's never at the "outlet mall".

I'm very glad that we didn't pay for a taxi to get to these (we have a rental van)....that extra expense would have negated the two items we did buy (a Disney Princess frame for $19 that I couldn't resist and a cheapo t-shirt for a joke gift).

The great thing about the Disney stores in the Outlet Malls are that they have park merchandise that you cant get in any other stores. I got a fab MK t with a crown on the front which says Walt Disney World, where I can be queen. I think I paid around $8. We also bought a Mickey handbag $15, a kids High School Musical Vest $6, fridge magnets for around $2 each. These were all labelled Walt Disney World. They had a plain white tee with Walt Disney World Logo on for $4.49. We bought a High School musical tee in MK for my son which was £18, three times as much!! Our best buy was a snowglobe of Cinderellas castle for $40. It was a big sized one and we wouldve paid over $100 for a similar one in the parks, although we had to buy a new suitcase to get it home lol. It is great to buy those extra souveniers without paying top dollar.

I think it is probably hit and miss in these stores though as on our previous visit we didnt find as much. I also found that the two stores dont stock the same things.

I agree with the poster who thought that the Outlet Malls were the same anywhere in the country, but we are from the UK and they are so cheap to us. We bought Levi jeans for DH and myself for $20 each (£10 each), in the Uk they cost around £50/£60 each!!!

That blows! I'm from Ontario and was hoping to get some new spring/summer clothes while I was down there (just get tired of the stuff here). I heard ok things about the Florida mll, that has Macey's or Dillards. I definitely don't want to waste a day going to 3 malls that's for certain.
