Calling all September Dis'ers!

great time to go! We went the 9th-16th last yr and it was wonderful. No lines longer then maybe 10 min, we had TL almost to ourselves with evening EMH. No rain at all. It did start to pick up on Fri and Sat morning, the 16th or 17th, I'm forgetting now, there were lines at MK. The only thing that surprised me was the non-availability of table service restaurants. Everything was booked solid! I didn't make ADR's because it's so quiet in Sept so we ate a lot of counter service. The food lines were longer then the ride lines! Maybe that was due to the free dining? We're hoping to go this yr from the 2nd-10th and I will definately make ADR's this time. You'll love Sept!

Thinking about going in Sept.

When does Disney cut back their late-night summer hours?

I like to go late in the night, last trip was in Jan and everything closed early because it got cold once the sun went down.

We'll be there from the 9th to the 16th. Just need to get the plane tickets. pixiedust:

Thinking about it........I need to start working on DH. Did you get the insurance? Does it cover hurricanes? Just asking because I am a hurricane magnet.

We'll be there in Sept too! Don't know when yet most likely towards the end of the month, but we love that time of year. We usually book late July for Sept....

We'll also be going again in Mid Dec for DH B'day.

For now, we have enough on our plate...going to Vegas next week then in April going to USO and Captiva for 10 days!

What kind of discounts or specials has Disney offered in Sept? :wizard:

When do deals come out? 30-60 days in advance? :scratchin

We are booked at Coronado Springs Sept 23-Oct 1! This will be our third trip in September! We love it - always a deal (pay 4 nights, get 3 free; free dining) because it's their slow season which means NO LINES!!! I believe the free dining came out in June-July period last year.

I was there last year from September 12-17 and it was awesome! The weather was great, no lines and I actually got to see the architecture at EPCOT so much more than through the crowds. :cheer2: That's why I am planning a trip during that time. Plus it was during a great deal that WDW had going on for MYW and Wow! It was too good of a price to pass up!

We will be there Aug. 29-Sep. 9th

already have plane tickets and room booked with MYW with dinning. I think that i am overly planning- i have every minute of our trip planned :rotfl:
my family thinks i'm nuts
Can't wait

Is Sept the slowest month of the year for Disney?

I would guess that January is 2nd slowest and Feb is 3rd slowest?

I do believe it is :) from what we have seen anyway. It is just after school starts and Labor Day, so most everyone has had their WDW fix over the summer. It is also before anything else starts, MNSSHP and EPCOT food and wine festival. We always go this time of year now. We have also found other slow times to be after Easter/Spring recess and before Memorial Day...I guess the first 3 weeks or so of May. Another time is Mid December, before school lets out for Winter recess. We went for the first time this past Dec, we went Mon-Fri...12th-16th. As we were checking out droves were checking in. Out of all those times September is the best time to go...it is perfect for us. From conversations with CM's we were told by all of them that Sept is THE slowest time of year. The other times are great as well and I have found early May to be beautiful in Orlando, the heat and humidity are not bad at all. September is slow but the weather is very hot, very humid and it rains almost every afternoon....hey nothing is perfect!

Debbie - where are you staying? We will be at the YC from Sept 10 - 15. :cool1:

Quick question for those of you who have experience in these matters...We went last year 26 September to 3 October. We hadn't planned on going until I saw a WDW advertisement in July on Yahoo! that comped the Dinning Plan if we stayed at a Disney property. We would like to go again at the same time this year, but we'd also like to take advantage of any incentives. If we make our reservations for Septemeber now, and Disney offers some sort of incentive in July -- such as the Free Dinning Plan -- is it likely that Disney will extend that offer to everyone who has already made their reservations? Thanks.
