Calling all Sept DISers...

WooHoo!!! Just booked a girls quick trip! I've never had a girls only trip before! WooHoo!!! Now to plan our meals!

Um ok, you people are making me look crazy. You are saying how obsessed you are but when you explain why it's nothing compared to me... :rotfl:

So we check-in Sept 18, our 90 day is June 20th. I do plan on calling beginning at 3:57AM (PST).

I have a spreadsheet set up already.

Each row with a date,
day,
EMH park (estimated off lest year's EMH),
if there is MNSSHP,
breakfast, ideal time, why that time,
lunch, ideal time, why that time,
dinner, ideal time, why that time.

I have all the restaurants planned out for our 14 night trip with the added in Eexpedition Everest Challenge date, F&WF begin date (and the soft opening), the date we will be going to MNSSHP and the morning of KTTK tour.

All that is left is to call and compete with you all for ADRs, ;)

Oh yes, and we already have our flights booked! Red-eye from Portland with layover in LA, we will arrive at 6AM giving us plently of time to rest before MNSSHP on 9/18. We plan on hitting up Captain Cook's before 3PM to be ready to enter MK at 4PM then grab some Casey's Corner just before Hallowishes to watch it and eat!

Subscribing!!! We are booked for Sept. 20th - 26th at Pop Century. I felt alone until I found this site. All my friends think I am insane because I am so excited about Going back. I would go every month if I could afford it. I wished I knew the park hours and EMH so I could plan to the day what we were going to be doing. We are slowing it down this year and only hitting one park a day but we are also going without extra adults and have since our last trip added one more kid... So slow and steady will save mommy and daddy's sanity. We are hoping for a few new ressies too. Tusker house, Japan TS, and Crystal Place. We did the whole princess thing the last time this time I think we are trying to gear it more for th boys.

Can you see the Characters from the movie Cars anywhere?

At DHS we saw two of the Cars characters - they have a special area set for them to sit for a period of time, but I can't remember specifically where that is now

Hi Doris,
What about Tony's on the night you do MNSSHP? That way you are already in the park. The Crystal Palace is also very good. The characters from Winnie the Pooh are there.

Actually I'm pretty sure I am going to do Crystal Palace on Friday. I've pretty much decided to do the Mnsshp. I think I'm changing Chef Mickey to Le Celiar at Epcot on TUesday. Haven't looke up Tony's yet. How is it?

WOW! I am really outta the loop here...I haven't booked yet and now I am getting very anxious...I guess I havent booked yet though because I really want free dining and I am not sure if I am going to get it! How did you guys already get free dining? I thought it wasnt offered until the start of April? I am so confused!

If I do get free dining though...
-Boma
-Chef Mickey's
-Sci-Fi
...there will be more but I can't even think about it right now!!!

Were we separated at birth? I have that spreadsheet too :goodvibes

Except I have added the menus from each restaurant and have pictures for most of the entrees. I plan to print it out for my Mom, she isn't good at choosing food sight unseen.

We are also going for 14 nights!

We are doing:
Chef Mickey
Grand Floridian Cafe
Big River
Yak and Yeti
Le Cellier
Kona
Epcot - Japan (can't remember its name)
Olivia's
The CASTLE - yippee!
Luau
Hoop De whatever it is :)

I am not 100% on those last two, they are double credits. Does anyone know if they are worth it?

Most of the people who already have free dining in late August, September or early October have booked it through bounceback meaning we were there last year during the same time. During your stay either mousekeeping will drop a flyer off, or you can pick one up at the front desk, with an offer for your potential next stay. For FD, it's been the FD offer for the following year... bouncebacks are different depending upon when you go to Disney.

Other people either received a pin code or are just waiting for the offer to come out, like you.

Oh that's too funny. I also have the online menus booked marked on my browser. We are trying HDDR for the first time this year so I can't say if it's worth it yet but it always seems to get pretty good reviews. So does the Luau but we wanted to just do one dinner show this year.

We also have a few of the same restaurants!

Chef Mickey's
Yak & Yeti
HDDR
Kona Cafe
CRT (that castle one)

I'm not going to print it out for my mom, some of the plans woulld reveal my birthday surprise for her... she doesn't know that she won't get to see the restaurant plans until a few days into the trip, the day before her b-day on the 22.

I'll probably see you guys there!!!! And not even know it, :goodvibes

Yes, we are going back with the free dining bounceback and staying at the CSR for our eighth time. We've already selected our restaurants (unless, of course, MickeyNicki comes up with new reviews that makes me change my mind AGAIN). We are currently planning on: Crystal Palace (Breakfast), Boma (Breakfast), Biergarten (Lunch), Yak & Yeti (Lunch), Sci Fi (Lunch), The Wave (Dinner), LeCellier (Dinner) and the Plaza for our last lunch. We are also doing Fulton's out of pocket.

And you know - this year's gone by really fast - we're already haf way there! Yayyy!!!!! And we are also deciding on what dining we will do but I guess we can't reserve till 90 days out. But it's alot of fun doing it!! My wife and I were tlaking about how many times we'll go to Tony's in MK this year. We'll be staying for 2 weeks this year. :cool1:

you're my hero ;)

I so wish that the 180 day policy was still in effect. Hopefully, by June we will be able to make our ADR's online. We are sure to do plenty of character meals and ethnic meals in EPCOT. I am really looking forward to trying Marrekesh and Teppan Edo.

Making the ADR's online would be a HUGE bonus!! VERY nice!! It'll make my life soooo much easier!! :) My TA did the ones for the may trip, I'm using the same lady for September, but I was wanting to try to do it myself!! Lord help me!! HAHA

count me in...we're bouncing back, too, at the beginning of September. And I thought I didn't have to sweat the ADRs this year...thought we'd just kind of go with whatever was available when I called. REally laid back approach this year. Hah! That lasted only Until we invited my son & friend to join us.

DS hasn't been to the World in more than 10 years (since he was a teen!) And his friend has been to Epcot for one day...no other parks. And DS has told friend about what a great planner his mom is, better than any TA, blah-blah-blah and she'll book the absolute most perfect restaurants blah-blah-blah. So now we're committed to showing them the best time possible on FREE DINING!

Yep, I'll be sweating the phone lines come June (but mostly just HOPE HOPE HOPING that the rumors about online dinner reservations come true...long before June so they have all the bugs worked out:woohoo: )

We'll be there in September too. We were there last year - the same time but we didnt' really think we'd being going back this year so didn't take advantage of bounce-back. Stupid.....stupid....stupid....

Hopefully we'll get a pin for the dining. Fingers crossed.

There are some places we'd like to go back to and but then I want to try new places too! So many choices! So little time!

And yes, I'll be obssessing (sp?) until I can make ADR's and then after - wondering if I made the right choices. I make myself nuts...but then that's the fun part. :)

Hopefully we'll finally get to do CRT in September...

Barbara

I feel your pain! We did the same exact thing - didn't think we could go back in Sept again, so didn't book the bounceback. We won't make the same mistake this year. However, we did get a 40% off pincode, so if we can't get FD we'll still save some money. But FD is the better deal, so we'll be keeping our fingers crossed with ya
