oops double post.
i am either too jetlagged or too used to reading acronyms but i sat here wondering what FOG meant.....
then i got it. yikes.
hmm the issues with the tracking site are concerning me now because I didn't have any issues? I just used the direct link that has been floating around the blogs and signed in with a facebook account. I found my name and signed for the mobile alerts. It said I was good to go and that a confirmation has been emailed to me, which I will have to check when I get home from work. I did not get a confirmation text though, or a facebook post which I would have liked to make sure. Now I'm worried that something is up with it because it worked so well for me...![]()
I got a confirmation but no events are listed when I log in.
Not liking the sound of these humid weather predictions, but I'm just going to go in with a mind over matter attitude and do what I need to do. If that means walking a lot more than planned, so be it. I'll still have fun.
Question for anyone who might be able to answer:
My friend, who is also registered, has decided that she won't be running. However, she's still coming with me to cheer me on.She's still planning on picking up her packet at the expo, and has paid for the race retreat. Would you recommend she come with me, as if she was racing, then just not race? Or should she just plan to meet up with me later?

I'd say come with you and then take the monorail over to TTC or MK and watch you. I'd also tell her to bring something to run in..the energy might encourage her, unless she in injured or pregnant or something like that.
Thanks! In all honesty, I'm secretly hoping that she might change her mind and run. She's coming with me to Pasta in the Park in Friday, too, so with the Expo and that, I think if she comes with me she might be encouraged to give it a shot.
So another question - will the monorail be running early enough for her to hop on it when she needs to?

Grrrr. I caught my DD's cold!! I was hoping to get that last 4 miler in.... Pushed it off a couple days because my foot was hurting. Praying this is a short-lived one and doesn't get much worse! Green tea and DayQuil are in order today.
MY DH came down with a cold this week. I won't let him touch me…we give lots of air hugs. He knows how important it is for me to stay healthy. Hope you feel better fast and don't worry about that last 4 miler.
I am SO SO SO sick of the snow and cold and ice that I don't even care if it's 85 degrees and 100 percent humidity at the start. bring it on. at least i'll be running in shorts.
