I use iSmoothRun.

I just bought the full version of Endomondo. Although I do like it overall, I was disappointed to find that I can't design my own intervals. Does iSmoothRun let you do this? I'm finishing up Galloway's conditioning right now, so need a 15s run / 45s walk ratio, but will soon move to 30/30.

Love the playlists!

I was thinking of starting a more solid run/walk interval. What do you all use to track your intervals to know when to run/walk?

I use a free app on my iPhone called IntervalTimer that lets you set up whatever intervals you like with whatever sound effects you want to change between them.

I also use PaceDJ (Lite - the free version), which lets me pick a cadence and then finds all of the music on your phone that are within a few BPM of that. It's been really helpful in keeping my pace up.

Yep! You can set it for any intervals in 1second increments.

Hey Princesses! Loving the music and app recommendations- what a great resource this list is for all. As an aside, made all my ADRs this a.m. - first dinner without kids at WDW in 7 yrs will happen on the day of the race. What a treat this weekend will be! Pixie dust to all for your runs, jogs and walks this week:). Oh and the kids go to school tomorrow - hooray!

I find running to "talk" to be better for me. I've been listening to "Two Gomers Run for Their Lives" podcasts. They are a couple of "regular" guys (started when they were 30ish (years old)) 6 seasons ago. They've done several half marathons now and a couple of full marathons and this new Season 6 is for a triathalon. They talk a lot about running but also about life in general- sometimes it feels like I'm listening to my kids talk. (my kids are between 25 and 32 LOL)

Is anyone else having a problem making a reservation at The Plaza Restaurant and Wolfgang Puck Grande Cafe?

I'd post this to FB, but no one would really get it...I know you guys will...I just scored reservations for California Grill and Be Our Guest in the same day :cool1: I'm pretty excited! Cali Grill will be for our trip during Thanksgiving week, but ADR's just opened up for their re-opening today...took about 45 minutes on hold before we finally got to speak to someone...and about 5 tries before we could even get the call to go through, and that was about 15 minutes after lines opened this AM. BoG will be for our post PHM dinner on the 23rd! I got all the other ADR's that I wanted for that week too so I've had a pretty productive monday so far! So now that I know what I'm eating I should probably focus on training ;)

Congrats! That's quite a score. I still need to wait til tomorrow to make an ADR for post-Princess. Thinking of doing Boma breakfast.

So far I've made reservations for Wolfgang Puck's Cafe on Friday night and Boma's on Saturday night!

Nice! :thumbsup2

I sat here on my lunch break for an hour and still haven't booked anything for PHM weekend. We'll probably be at an off-site condo and I can't get past the feeling that what I'll really want, by dinner time on Sunday, is to stay in with a movie and take-out. :rotfl:

We've still never eaten at Napa Rose...but I really want to try it. Might have to finally give it a go maybe for dinner after Tink next year! And, good luck this weekend! :cheer2:

Same here!! I booked BOG for the post-PHM dinner last year, my sister's first half. Now this year - if all goes well with training - I am daring to run it with her! So I went ahead and booked dinner at BOG for the 23rd as well -- perhaps we'll see you there!! :)

Hello all - I am on the fence about the race retreat. Can a PHM veteran give me thoughts on it? Is everything post-race within the retreat? I'm staying at BWV and trying to decide if it it worth the $.

We were there post race this year too...the food was better than I expected...I know it's not really a character meal, but I sort of compare it to Cinderella's Royal Table being that it's in a "castle" and it was just soooo much tastier than CRT...and I treated myself to the light-up castle "goblet", so that was fun! It's my Princess Pimp Cup. :lmao:

I booked RR last year for one reason only: shelter. My biggest concern was a freak cold spell and sitting outside in it before the race. Naturally, after paying for RR, it was a lovely, warm morning.

There were some things I liked other than shelter:
Tables and chairs for eating before the race (I brought my own bagel, but it was nice to have a spot to sit and eat it).

Quick and easy bag check within the RR tent.

Our own set of porta-potties, which meant short or no lines.

IMO, it was worth every penny for peace of mind as a first-timer. I knew exactly where I was going before and after the race, which made it easier to reunite with friends (who had also booked RR). I opted not to book RR again, though, now that I have a feel for how it all works and is laid out.
