is a 12:30ish ADR reasonable for Sunday post-race? Unless something really crazy happens, I'll be done around 2 hours, give or take a few minutes. How long can it possibly take to get back to the room post race? (famous last words, i know :lmao:)

You should be good! That's when I will be making mine for. I was back to my room by 10 a couple years ago.

For my cross training I take and X-Fit Class at the local Y. (X-Fit is a slightly scaled down version of Cross Fit.) I also swim occasionally and ride a bike (just in case a local tri rears it's head.) Whatever you do for Cross Training make sure it's whole body and includes stretching.

My husband and I have been to Disney 3 times in the last 6 years, with a 4th trip coming up for the PHM in February. For the first two trips, we used a travel agent that we were very happy with. She was very on top of things, watching for discounts, felt like she was a good resource and kept up with things well. For the 3rd trip, we used the same travel agent we'd book our cruise through just to keep things consistent and never felt like she was quite as on top of things or responded to questions very promptly. At this point, we really just want someone who can answer any questions we may have and watch for discounts as we are pretty comfortable managing travel and Disney ourselves.

For the PHM trip, we decided to go back with our original travel agent because she'd been so helpful before. It has been a totally different and bad experience this time! She repeatedly gave us the wrong confirmation number - we actually had to go through Disney to try to figure out what our confirmation number was and confirm that we really were booked. She apparently does not have our address correct in her system given the mail we've gotten from her, only after the post office had to intervene and re-route. She contacted us yesterday to tell us that we could start booking our ADRs as were at 180 days, only to follow up a few hours with an oops email. None of these are huge things for us (aside from the mail issue, which is a little concerning for luggage tags in the future but those should come directly from Magic Express) as we know how to figure it ourselves, but we actually haven't yet had an interaction with her go right this time around! I am concerned that she is too scattered to keep up with watching for discounts, which is what we really need a travel agent to do. I am relieved I'd already decided to handle dining reservations myself! I am also a little concerned that something may be wrong with her, that things have changed so drastically in such a short time.

So, do we notify management in her agency and get changed to another agent within that group? That would have the benefit of maybe getting a little more attention to detail on our vacation from someone else, as well as letting her supervisors know that something is clearly off with her. My husband is a little worried about retaliation or intentional errors handling our trip if we go that route. Or do we just switch to another agency? At this point, I think all we've paid is our deposit, which I assume will stay with our reservation. I haven't ever switched travel agents mid-stream before, so I'm not sure how that would work.

Any advice?

TIA!
Jessica

Just a quick question, but why do you need to go through a TA? I've done all my trips on my own some of them scheduling up to 14 people. All of it you can totally do on your own and then you know it will all get done right. I personally would just cancel with them and rebook on your own. To me there is really no "perk" to using a TA.... just my 2 cents worth!!! Good luck!

The only reason we've used a TA was because it was helpful to have someone else watching out for discounts and special offers, which has saved us a lot in the past. The rest of it we really do handle ourselves, so we really don't need much. It has felt like more trouble than it was worth this time trying to go through the TA for sure!

You should be totally fine! I had a much earlier ADR and made it AND took almost 2 1/2 hours... so I think 12:30 is ample time to get back to your room...clean up... go eat!

:rolleyes1

Those of you who run with music, what's on your running mix?

I don't run, so mine is actually a walking "song" :cool1:
My son created one "song" with my choices of peppy music from some playlist about 7 years ago :rolleyes1), taking out the slow starts and repetitive endings.
I like the way it's all one song so it helps me keep my pace, but I do miss that I don't have more variety (Kelly Clarkson and Sara Bareilles have some peppy songs I would love to have, just to name 2). Btw, I'm 54 and like country music... not to make excuses

1. Step by Step - Whitney Houston
2. Be True to Your Heart (Mulan) - Stevie Wonder
3. You're the One That I Want (Grease) - Olivia Newton-John, John Travolta
4. Motown Song - Rod Stewart
5. Love is a Wonderful Thing - Michael Bolton
6. Son of Man (Tarzan) - Phil Collins (the way the songs are spliced, I should be starting mile 2 when this starts)
7. Who Says You Cant Go Home - Bon Jovi, Jennifer Nettles
8. Somethings Gotta Give - LeAnn Rimes
9. She Thinks My Tractors Sexy - Kenny Chesney
10. Fast Cars and Freedom - Rascal Flatts (the way the songs are spliced, I should be at the end of mile 2 during this)
11. Suds in the Bucket - Sugarland
12. Beer in Mexico - Kenny Chesney
13. Carlene - Phil Vassar
14. Keg in the Closet - Kenny Chesney
15. Thats When I Love You - Phil Vassar (the way the songs are spliced, I should be ending mile 3 during this and I start the tape over if starting mile 4)
16. 4th of July - Shooter Jennings
17. To Be Happy - Sara Evans
18. Nothin Bout Love Makes Sense - LeAnn Rimes

:rolleyes1

Those of you who run with music, what's on your running mix?

I've just added an album from Straight no Chaser (With a Twist) and enjoyed running to that today. I've bought some running mixes off I tunes and have used them for the past year. I also added Sidewalk Prophets album Live like That.

As an alum of Indiana University - I love your choice! Love SNC!! :)

I fell behind somewhere along the way... cross training and playlists, right?

I've been practicing yoga and ballet far longer than distance running, so I still do those on non-running days as cross training. I also do strength training with hand weights and/or a resistance band once a week. I planned to swim laps some this summer, but we've had thunderstorms nearly every day after work, shooting that plan to heck. If I'm getting bored, I'll do some Zumba or Just Dance on the Wii with my son on a cross training day.

Running playlist... or should I say playlistS?! I have one gigantic one with every song I like for running in it. But I make themed ones for individual runs, too. I've done full album runs, movie soundtrack runs, Grateful Dead runs, big band runs, jazz runs and creepy Halloween runs. My big "Keep It Running" playlist currently has 226 songs - too many to list here! But I'll pull a favorite from each letter of the alphabetical order to share...

Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers
Bangarang - Skrillex
Celebrity Skin - Hole
Dog Days are Over - Florence & the Machine
Eye of the Tiger - Survivor
Fast Lane - Bad Meets Evil ft. Eminem

Nest - from Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) - Eurythmics
Two Tribes - Frankie Goes to Hollywood
U Can'T Touch This - MC Hammer

Love the playlists!

I was thinking of starting a more solid run/walk interval. What do you all use to track your intervals to know when to run/walk?

I use the Jeff Galloway apps. I have completed the 5K, am now on the 10K, and will do the half next.

"Respect" is another awesome Erasure song for a running mix. I like that your mix is fairly eclectic. Some nice choices.
