Calling all Princesses! (2014 Princess half marathon board)

I'm wondering what a good goal would be for a 10K to get a decent corral placement. I am training for a 10k that's at the end of July. I'm new to running. Tried it a few years ago and kept having plantar fasciitis issues. I'm finally ready to try again now and doing all my foot exercises so the PF doesn't flare up again. I walked/ran about 2 miles the other day at a 13 minute pace.
Any ideas on what time I should shoot for with the hopes of a good corral placement in the PHM? I really don't want to be in the last or next to last corral!

Also, hope to run together. DS and DH will more than likely qualify for a better placement than myself and DD. Do we need to register as teams or can they just start in a lower corral than they are assigned? I know most races will let you drop to a slower corral, but I don't know if Disney allows this.

You can move back, you cannot move forward for corral placement. Your DH will start B or back, as for the half, men are starting B and back this year it sounds like. And any 10k time is better than none and will get you out of last corral most likely.

The RD website says that there is an "all-new commemorative finisher medal". Maybe this is really shallow...but will it still be a tiara? Are there pictures of this out there yet?

Hope everyone stays safe in Andrea's path!

Guess I'll use my WDW Half time of 3:02 for proof and then submit (hopefully) an improved time! I'm also curious about a good 10K goal time. I am refreshing like crazy on AP and Visa sites.

Do we get early booking with the Disney Visa as well? What part of the website is it on?
I can't get through to Disney. I have the new plastic annual pass, so it's not connected to my Disney experience. DVC website is not showing the link either, only Wine and Dine and WDW marathon weekend.

The AP site isn't showing the link either. It's only 30 minutes away and still no sign of any registration.

I'd be interested in the Disney Visa site as well, for the same reasons. Had I known the new passes were invalid on the site, I'd have never upgraded in the first place! :sad2:

So if anyone has any info on pre-reg with the Disney Visa, I could use the help!! Thanks!

And just to add to the stress level, Active is down. Every time I try to log in, it takes me to a screen that says "stretching our digital quads..." What the heck?

Under Disney Offers I see the DisneyWDW Marathon info and discount. So, it should be on that page, but nothing yet

This is driving me crazy! C'mon Disney, hurry up already!

It's too bad they don't ask if you will walking the run. It'd be nice (if you don't have a time AND walk it) to have separated from runners.

I wouldn't count on Disney Visa today. For DL & WDW, it was the day after early registration for AP/DVC. It was also on their sites week ahead of time.

Thanks, I'll keep refreshing the DVC site, because I'm not having any luck getting a hold of someone regarding the AP.

It's now showing on DVC, but links to runDisney PHM page, not the actual registration.

Done, the registration page is open. I don't know if the link is posted anywhere yet. It is $175 for the Tink Combo, but I don't plan on doing it.

I got it from when I figured out the ID event number. They activated it and will probably upload the link now to AP site.
