I will wait a couple of days to see who all is interested. I will create a FB page and post the link on here. All those that would like to join feel free.

I'd be interested in joining in! I will be running solo most likely.

Also for those of you who use a gps watch which one is a good one? I'm looking at a Garmin Forerunner 10 but not sure if it's good for someone who is just getting started into running.

I'll join in as well, also running solo. I'm actually looking at that same watch! I've read good reviews!

I have the Garmin Forerunner 10 and I love it. It is so incredibly accurate (I have heard that the Nike+ can overestimate distance and I found that it was true for my friend who has one). You can set the display to show you two things on the first page, I do distance and current pace (which helps keep me from starting out too quickly or from slacking in the middle). You can also choose time, calories and something else that I can't remember. It does not have a heart rate monitor, but I'm fine with that. I just love mine and highly recommend it!

Thank you so much for letting me know about the watch.

I JUST got this exact watch literally 2 days ago!!!! In pink of course  So far it's amazing, I would totally recommend it in terms of being ULTRA easy to use for a new runner (like me!) And considering it has (quite accurate!) GPS it's really well priced I think ::yes:: I've only done one run with it but it was exactly everything I was hoping it would be; it's so awesome to check out a play-by-play of your run when you get home! (average pace per mile etc) Best of luck in your watch search! :goodvibes

I have the 10 and the 110. I prefer the 110- but didn't hate the 10. It was just a matter of user preference for me. The 10 is easy to use and pretty! :)

I have the Garmin Forerunner 10 (in pink) and I love it and highly recommend it! Very accurate and easy to use and it beeps at you at each mile and tells you what pace you ran that mile in! No heart rate monitor but I doubt I'd use it if I had it so no biggie for me. Hope this helps!

Hi, I would like to introduce myself. I live in South Fl and I love Disney. We usually have annual passes and go to WDW for a few days, 3 or 4 times a year. I am 50 and am fairly new to running. I have run five 5ks in the past 3 years.

I am planning on running the PHM in 2014 with my dh and my 23 yr old dd. (They are both faster than me)

The three of us just ran our first 10K this morning. It was a lot of fun and I was very proud of my time: 1:09:47!

I also don't care about the heart rate monitor. Just never was into it anyways. I think this week I will place my order for the Garmin Forerunner 10 of course in pink too! I have a $55 gift card to amazon so that will help with the cost some. :thumbsup2

Welcome! I learned so much last year that helped me in training for and planning for my first Princess Half this year just by reading these boards. Your 10K time is AWESOME!! Great job!!! :thumbsup2

I'm solo running, as every year. I was planning on doing it as Ariel with the tail, but the difficulty of the design and cost is making me think of doing Jasmine. I can still do either, just more thought and design to make a tight looking fin but something I can run in without any impedance. Any ideas what would look cooler? I've already done Princess Peach, Rapunzel, Snow White; so looking for either Ariel or Jasmine.

Also, went for my first run since PHM this year, did not go well at all. I got married, honeymoon, got sick and now getting better. I made it 2 miles in 16:07, but this sickness is still here preventing me. I had too much pressure in my head for the illness I had to stop, plus its mid 80s and humid today.

Congrats on the wedding! I think jasmine is easier but Ariel would be great with a red wig! End up holding the tail I'd think while you were running.

Happy running and we didn't get all that much snow! I am SO ready for summer. Need to get planning our garden and work on house list. I am thinking this will be the year I do lots of painting.

Just sent a request! Yay!!! I'm excited to chat with everyone!
