Our family member requires assistance showering and we’re seeing more non-accessibile rooms with walk in showers and handheld shower heads. Is there a list anywhere that tells us which resorts have made this switch? Currently, we book rollin shower rooms, but if we can leave those for others and/or expand our options
:-)

I know that Grand Floridian (in the “Resort Studios”, 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms DVC side) and Riviera (all room categories) have handheld showers with a built in bench in the regular rooms.

I don't know if ALL non-accessible rooms at any resort have been changed to walk-in shower, though I do believe at least some have. The challenge is that there is no way to guarantee you don't end up with a non-accessible room with tub/shower.

I found this list from last year which seems like a good plan to book, then call to add to your requests. But you are rolling the dice on if you get it or not.

If you need it then you need it as much as anyone else. It is becoming more and more difficult for me to shower DS. It was manageable (not easy) when there were shower curtains BUT these sliding doors blocking my access is making it more difficult. It would be easier with a hand held shower. I've been looking at a travel version I might have to get but it is very difficult anymore, and if I have to book HA room, I will.

VGF Resort Rooms? Are those the ones in Big Pine Key? If so, I might reserve one next time I go to WDW. Like the OP, I currently reserve a HA studio w/shower since I need to sit when I shower. There are a very limited # of HA rooms at resorts, so knowing I could reserve at at least one resort without needing a HA room is good knowledge to have. Thanks!
