Hi Princesses!!!

Vicki!!! and anyone who would like to see too I posted a link to my photos from today's Expo at the Exp Everest 5K. I'm the one holding the Pal Mickey in the photo and with the actress who was pretending to be a reporter. Wendy is the other photo with 2 people and she's with her brother. And this is bad of me, I can't recall Wendy's ID, I've just become so used to her being Wendy that I don't remember it right now

If I end up carrying my camera tomorrow for the race I'll be sure to post photos again but it will probably be Sunday morning.

Hope everyone's training goes well this weekend!!!!

oh and Vicki... I am NOT carrying Miles for the race and going over hurdles. He can stay in the room watching tv

The temp here looks like it's going to hit 90 or there abouts I hope the weather is much more suited to training where everyone else lives.

Oh and the expo really wasn't of any size. They had the past medals out and the only new medal they had and OMG! i didn't take a photo of it yesterday was the EE5K. They actually had the Minnie 15K medal out which I thought was weird. Maybe someone else had luck in asking about the Princess but my impression was there was not going to be any new info found this weekend.

I asked a couple of questions awhile back, just wondering if anyone knows the answers.

My first question was wondering if anyone knew how to access my registration to "check on it" (i.e., find out which Princess I selected! ).

The second was whether or not any of y'all were staying at POFQ?

I wonder if we could create a poll or something to find out where people are staying for the Princess. If certain hotels have certain groups, or if we all seem spread out everywhere......

Anyone else curious about that, too?

We're looking a POFQ again, stayed past two years and loved it but tempted to try somewhere else. Ohh risky!!! I think the first page of the thread includes where ppl are staying, have a look tho as it may not have been updated

As the race gets closer they should post a link to verify. you enter your last name and birthday. but unless they do something different (which they could!) i don't know if they will say which princess you picked. for marathon weekend you do all that and it comes back with your name, city and which race you are signed up for.

but you reminded me of a question since i was waiting till october to hand over my registration fee, they actually ask which princess you are when you register? how cool! I recall getnthnr (Wendy) saying something but never remembered to ask about it.

And later when I take more photos I will post a photo of a visor I just bought today. It's PINK it has the tiara embriodered on to the top part that stand up and on the bill portion has embriodered DISNEY PRINCESS. So of course I went with the to wear in the Princess 1/2 It was like $14 found in the girls section of the World of Disney store but probably elsewhere on property but would you believe that has been the most shopping I've done while here so far this trip. They do have those little tiars with rhinestones for like $10 with the hair comb on it but I don't think I have enough hair to hold it in

I have to make the reservation yet but I am looking at the Caribbean Beach for that trip for the buses and I've yet to stay there so it will be a new experience.

Ok guys, i added a poll. The hotels with the * near them are the ones that transportation to the race will be provided by..
However, cabs can be rented by any of the other hotels. We stayed at the GF in may for the Minnie, and the cab fare was very reasonable to Epcot. (especially if it is split).

I am not sure though once you vote if you can see WHO the other people are who also voted for your hotel.. so as time gets closer, we may need to figure out another way to communicate - mabye have a "leader" for each hotel or something to keep a list. I don't know. I am at the Poly, so i would be willing to keep track of whoever is staying there.

I didn't know that transportation was only at a limited # of hotels. How did you find out which hotels had race transportation?

I'm getting really excited for this race.

2BoysMom, if you go to the WWoS site, under the Princess 1/2, they have "transportation" on the right hand side, click on that and it tells ya.

There is a Princess 5k AND a Princess Half-Marathon? The 5K is at Epcot. Does that mean the Half is in Magic Kingdom?

The half starts at the Richard Petty Speedway and goes through AK, DHS and finishes in Epcot. Looking at the Marathon maps, I think it is like the second half of the marathon.

To get the information and routes check the disneyworldsports.com website or check with disneyrunning.com. It is all there for the most part. It states that the Princes Half starts at the racetrack in the parking lot at the TTC and then pretty much follows the last part of the WDW Full Marathon.

Thank you for the websites. I have re-educated myself on the races (last May seems sooo long ago for my memory cells, I guess).

I have also decided to change my hotel from POFQ to CBR. I really want the bus service to the races, and the ability to meet fellow racers. I didn't realize that bus service was limited to a few hotels, until I learned that here. Thanks!

Will most of you be going to the Pirate & Princess party, too? Will you be going alone on your trip or bringing your family? Just curious....

Yes, i am DEFINATELY going to the P&P party!! I can't wait!! My dd and my mother in law went in may, but i didn't since it was the night before the minnie 5k.. but they both came back to the hotel raving about it! Plus, i can't wait to show off my bling!!

In my group it is going to be - Me, my mom, my sis (all three of us doing the 1/2), my daughter (8) and my Mother in law . We did it this way last may (we are all sharing a room) and we had a blast!! My MIL watches my dd so that i can rest before the race (she takes her to the parks and such) and then I will take my dd to do the kids race, and then we will all go to the P&P party! It's just a 4 day mini girls trip!
