When are you going? What are you looking forward to most? Where are you staying/requesting?

We are going 6/4-6/11 GV concierge, requested either a first or third floor room and I am so looking forward to sitting on the beach, watching fireworks and drinking yummy stuff from a pineapple!

It's too soon for me to be excited, but I am!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

goodferry:

We are going 5/26 thru 6/3; staying LVC, requesting 3rd floor non-smoking (we'll see how that goes....).

My kids are SOOO looking forward to Mickey pizza, the volcano pool and the watermice (or SeaRays as they are now called).....I am looking forward to no cell phone calls from work, a decent tropical drink by the pool and some "down time" with my DH so we can remember who we are/where we met/why we are still together after 22 years!!!!!

I see in alot of posts that people seem to request 1st or 3rd floors because of the lack of a balcony. Who usually gets these floors? Does anyone prefer them? Is it pot luck on who gets them actually?

We are at the Poly August 23rd-30th...Love going down on the beach at night watching the light pagent and then the fireworks..Love a Drink at the pool...The water mice are a blast....The whole atmosphere of the Poly...Dessert at the Kona cafe is awsome....I can't wait to go...:bounce: :Pinkbounc :jumping1: :jumping3:

I think the advantage to being on the 2nd floor concierge is easy access to the lounge.

We'll be there in a lagoon view concierge room (requesting 3rd floor, we want a balcony) Labor Day weekend, following our 7-night western caribbean Disney cruise! I can't wait! We'll be "relaxing" at the Polynesian as a finale' to our vacation, so we'll really have a chance to fully enjoy the resort. DSs are looking forward to renting watermice and dining at Kona's. DH and I are simply looking forward to relaxing at the volcano pool with a frosty drink in hand, and enjoying the view from our room :sunny:

We will be at the Poly 5/1-5/6, then we're switching to the Beach Club. We like the third floor on the garden side of Rapa Nui because it is so quiet. Last year my two oldest boys LOVED the volcano pool, and this year my 4 year old son is coming too, so I can't wait to share it all with him!!!

Also, this year we have an odd number of people, so I "volunteered" to go alone in my watermouse. Ha ha, I will be the fastest!

DD and I will be there Apr. 6-8, Hawaii LV asked for third floor near the lounge. We will then be moving to AKL, not CL unfortunately, as it was not available. Even though that is a packed week at the resorts, I'm most looking forward to the relaxed Poly atmosphere, the EWP, and trying a Lapu Lapu!!

Can't wait, Poly here we come!!:sunny:

Hi goodferry!

Yes you can get excited!

I'm excited, and look at my counter - (then look at yours, yours will look better!)

I went to the Poly last summer for the 1st time and loved it. I'm usually crazy about my BCV area right outside EPCOT, but I found I also loved looking out on to the Lagoon and feeling a part of the whole MK area.

Can't wait for:
EWP
Volcano Pool
Moinorail
Tropical Paradise Feel
Watching the Ferry bring guests back and forth to TCC
Watching the castle change colors all night
watching my kids "show Daddy the Polynesian" (he didn't join us at the Poly last summer)
checking out the Hawaii lounge (concierge was in Tahiti last summer)
Quiet time with DH, while my kids enjoy thier favorite place - the Neverland Club!
Oh, and pineapples with carmel dipping sauce!...
While i'm at it - Tonga Toast:tongue:
It goes on and on....

We will be at the Poly April 27-May 7. We have booked GV and usually ask for and get Rarotonga. That building is being rehabbed now so I have no idea what I'm going to request.

we'll be going 7/5 -7/11. Haven't booked yet, but that's the tentative plan. We were there in Feb. and fell in love with the Poly.

I'm most looking forward to it being warm so I can enjoy the pool and the beach area - which is fantastic. It's wonderful to beach-laze right on the seven seas lagoon. Beach-laze=just laying around on the beach being lazy and, like you said, drinking yummy stuff from a pineapple.

I'm also most looking forward to the gorgeous tropical foilage, the fireworks from the beach, the electrical water pageant, breakfast at Kona Cafe (gimme my tonga toast), underwater Hawaiin music, hopping on the monorail and being in the MK in 5 minutes, hearing "Aloha" from every CM, the torch-lit walkways. I need to shut up - I could go on all day with my favorites.

We usually book garden view because I think it's too much extra $$ for lagoon view, not to mention most of the garden views are wonderful. So, I will request a "nice garden view of something other than a parking lot."

Beam me there!

You are going to have a great view of the newly refurbished quiet pool.

we'll be there May 12-15, LVC, way too short a trip!
Looking forward to watching the castle change colors from our room, having a mai tai on the beach, Chef Dick's awesome egg rolls in the lounge, riding the monorail with Stan, our favorite monorail man, fresh pineapple all ready to eat every afternoon, and not being here in Chicago being responsible and sensible and boring!

:bounce: BTW, it's NEVER too soon to be excited!:bounce:

Anyway, here's my trip

April 27th - May 1st: Royal Pacific Resort

May 1st - May 4th: AKL

May 4th - May 11th: Poly LVC

Now my thoughts on the LV vs. the GV. I am currently torn between which floor. 3rd has the balcony and great views; 2nd floor is close to the lounge, but no balcony; 1st floor lets you walk out to the beach. To be honest, I don't think it matters to much which floor or which view you get. If you are like me, the few nights you will be at the resort, you will go to the beach to watch the fireworks.

Have fun.

Hello :wave2:

We will be in Orlando from April 9 - April 23rd.

April 9 - April 13 - Hard Rock Hotel (for front of the line!)
April 13 - April 23 - Polynesian Resort Lagoon View Room.

I couldn't decide between GV concierge or Lagoon standard  by the time I had made up my mind, GV Concierge had sold out for the Spring Saver Code!

I have requested Tahiti any floor, preferably with view of Magic Kingdom!!

:wave2:

Looking forward to our first stay at Polynesian from May 12-17. Hoping to get a ground floor room since Mom will have an ECV. Also hoping to get the ground floor room so I can put the baby down for a nap and relax on the patio overlooking the lagoon.
I would like to request Tahiti unless I upgrade to concierge.
Anywhere at the Polynesian sounds good to me after the crappy weather we've been having here in RI!! Going on over 4 straight days of rain...this after a very nasty winter.

goodferry and catnik: We will be at the Poly GV Concierge May 28th through June 6th. We will meet you in the lounge! You won't be able to miss us with our 4 daughters (5, 3, 3, 1).

I am looking forward to seeing all our concierge friends like Cathy, Inez, and Chef Dick and enjoying some refreshing orange guava juice and chocolate chip cookies. I am also looking forward to taking a romantic walk around the resort at night with the tiki torches flickering and the polynesian music playing in the background.

To get in the mood for the Poly, try this web site for great music:
breezeofhawaii.com. There is a "listen now" button in the top lefthand corner. :sunny:

Looks like there will be lots of kids...We have four, two boys and two girls, 12, 8, 5, and 1! See you there!
