ok...so we have wanted to stay at the Poly for years and I think next year, we are finally going to get there. YEAH!!!!

So, I have read through the thread, some, but its overwhelming trying to find everything....

So, we have a family of 5. Kids will be 3,4 and 6 at the time. We go to WDW at least 2 times a year, so we know what we like to do. We know that we spend most of our time at the MK and we eat a lot at Epcot. We are so excited to stay on the monorail because its where we go!

So, which building should we stay in? What other tips or advice would you share!

Cant wait!

You will love the Poly!!! A lot of families seem to like first floor Samoa. It's located close to the volcano and quiet pools and the GCH, very close to Capt. Cooks. Also with a first floor room, the little ones can play on the patio, or parents can sit outside while the kids are sleeping. We love sitting on the beach at night for the electric water parade and Wishes.

Hi - since you visit the Magic Kingdom a lot and eat at Epcot a lot, maybe it would be worth staying in one of the buildings somewhere in the middle of the resort, then it's not too far to walk to the MK monorail or the TTC. With kids that age, you might also want to stay reasonably near the pool if they like swimming.

Tokelau, Tahiti and Rapa Nui all have larger rooms but even the rooms in the original longhouses are quite spacious. Since you like to dine in Epcot, I would consider one of those three as they are also the three closest to the TTC. If you like you can also walk to the TTC to catch the MK ferry or the express monorail.

Tokelau is also very close to the quiet pool and all three are close to a beach but then all Polynesian longhouses are.:thumbsup2

I'd vote for Tokelau- it has the larger rooms and is very centrally located. We stayed there in April/May with our 2 and 4 year olds and it was perfect. Short walk to the beach, either pool, GCH, parking lot (we had our car and used it for non-monorail places) and the TTC. As a poster above said, we requested and got a 1st floor room on the opposite side from the quiet pool. This was Perfect! Our patio opened onto a large grassy area. Stepping out onto the "lawn" we could see the lagoon, castle, Space Mountain. Our kids napped each day and DH and I sat outside. Either on the patio for shade, or pulled our chair(s) onto the grass to sit in the sun. We just read and relaxed, we'd take turns going for walks, or going to get snacks at Captain Cooks. It was just wonderful. Having that open area just made "our" space feel bigger for the week. The kids enjoyed playing out there with DH in the morning while I got ready too. We had regular duck visitors!

I vote for Tokelau also. Check out tikiman's website-he has pics and everything you could imagine about the POLY. I'm not sure of the exact web address-just google tikiman's polynesian website and it will come up. Good luck and have fun with your planning!
