Hello - I am going Nov 3-10 and also requested Rarotonga 1st or 3rd floor facing quiet pool because it was just refurbished so it should be nice and clean and fresh hopefully!

we just returned last week and were in Raratonga. :) I believe it was room 1829. It was the 2nd room in from the door closest to the GCH, right across from the elevator. We were very pleased with everything. Our patio had a view of tropical plants and the monorail. Considering I was travelling with 2 and 4 year old boys, that was a BIG hit. Honestly, given the choice between laying in bed and seeing fireworks over the castle and laying in bed and seeing the monorail....for my sons, monorail wins hands down! LOL

The room was very nice and clean. No maintance issues of any sort. CMs were great. No must smells or mold/mildew problems. I have asthma and bad mold/mildew allergies so I was a bit concerned about a ground floor room after the storms last month but not a trace of a problem at all.

The location was VERY convenient. We were literally steps from the GCH so we could be on the monorail in like 3 minutes if one was waiting when we got there (which happened a lot!). I would happily stay there again. :)
