Calling all October 25, 2012 Dream 3 day cruisers!

Hello Disneybride96
This is our wedding Onboard. any photos of your wedding? i would love to see.
Hopes for Wendy :) Maybe he will agree!

OMG.....I would have to scan those in. 15 years ago was pre-digital. Hard to believe.

Shanna- Are you getting married in the lounge on top of the 'smoke stack'? We went up there to watch the sunset...very nice!

Count us in!

This will be my 3rd Disney Cruise but my 10 year old son's 1st. I've gone on 2 Disney cruises with my husband (no kids). I promised my 10 year old I would take him on a cruise one day so here we go.

It will be me (Missy) and ds Kolton (10)
room 8520

Also, count us in for the fish extender. My dh and I did the FE last year and it was so fun! Let the countdown begin!

:wizard::cool1:

Hi, my DS 4yr old and I are going on our first cruise. He will turn 5 the day we leave the "Mickey Boat".
I would love to do FE too. Sounds like fun. I had to google what "FE" was.

We're in! We just changed to this date. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise, first on the Dream. We can't wait. We are going to try and keep it a secret from our 2 boys:) It's me (Bekky), Mark (DH), Tyler (13) and Zachary (11).

Hi all! We just booked the cruise today! Its me (Molly - 32) and Brett (30) and we will be celebrating our HONEYMOON!!! YEAAAAHHH!!!!

This will be our second Disney cruise and we want in on the FE!! This seems like a great group already and we are looking forward to meeting everyone :woohoo:

Awesome!

Did anyone start a facebook group? We were in one for our cruise in February. It was a lot of fun. It actually was busier and people posted more in there, than here.

changed our plans - it was too much to try and do disney and the cruise, so now we're 9 nights at Disney with a side trip to Kennedy Space Center with our free tickets

We're booked and I'm curious about the FE exchange - how long will the sign up run? I did some research and found answers to my questions about the FE so I edited my post.

Thanks!

On our cruise in February, the person in charge of the FE took a poll and asked when the FE should be closed. Sign ups ended 6 weeks prior to sail date. We didn't participate in that one.

I don't know how big a secret this is but we just upgraded from an ocean view cabin 8500 to a verandah 5552 and it has an extra large verandah for the same price as the other cat 4e cabins. Bonus!:cool1:

We did too!! :thumbsup2

Has anyone ever stayed in an extra large verandah? We have had a navigators verandah (no white wall) on the Wonder, and that was fine for us - but hey, if the oversize verandah is the same price then we figure "what the heck?"

only 7 months and 5 days to go!!

We had 5652 & 5654 last October with 3 kids and next month we have 5650 on the Fantasy, with just the two of us - all are 4e's (although we booked when they were cat 5's, so we paid the lower price).

Yes, the verandahs are twice the size of the regular verandahs (5650 is 4x the size!) but the cabins themselves are smaller than the other 4's.

The total square footage (cabin + verandah) is the same for all types of 4's (299 sq.ft. with the exception of 5650,& 5150 that have the added verandah space of the non-cabin beside them and possibly a few forward deck 5 extended verandah cabins as well) - the difference is 4a, b, c & d have a larger cabin and smaller verandah while 4e has a larger verandah and smaller cabin.

If there are only two of you or if you're willing to give up cabin space for verandah space, you're good.

With 5 of us between two cabins it wasn't bad, but with 4 in one cabin I'd stick with the regular 4e's.

What is everyone doing the days or night before? We are checking into BLT on Sunday (10/21) and doing MNSSHP on Tuesday (10/23). Anyone want to do a meet and greet?

......Exactly how much smaller is the cabin??? Anyone know or can you give us an idea?

It's basically one verandah smaller, which I'm guessing is roughly 50 sq. ft.

The cabins themselves in 5652 & 5654 are the same size as the cat 7 we had on an earlier Dream cruise The total square footage for the cat 7 is 246 sq. ft. including the verandah, so I subtracted to get the difference.

The difference between the cat 4e's and the other cat 4's is that 50ish sq. ft. - in the regular cat 4's it's additional cabin space while in the cat 4e's it's additional verandah space.

I hope that's more clear!

Just upgraded to Cat 06B:banana: all of mya friends talked me into a varandah stateroom. So we are now in stateroom 7188...I'm soooo excited:wizard::wizard:
