Calling all Le Cellier Experts!

Does anyone know what time the dinner hour (2TS) starts? How late of a lunch can we book?

THANKS!

I booked a 3:30 reservation online once and the confirmation said it was dinner. So at least 3:30. If you are booking anything after 3 and you don't want dinner, check the confirmation to make sure of what you booked.

I'm working on my plan for ADR's for our next visit. I'm struggling with Le Cellier being a 2 credit dinner even though the dinner menu looks really great to me. Is it just as great an experience for lunch or is it just totally worth it to do the 2 TS credits?

Also I'm dining with a 6 year old. She's fine with the items on the kids menu but what is the atmosphere like? She's a well behaved 6 year old but we're used to doing a lot of character meals.

Would love to hear any general thoughts on Le Cellier. I know everyone has different opinions and its all about personal preference but I really love reading what others have to say.

Thanks!

Ok remember that you asked. I find when you give a not so great review on a popular restaurant you're usually told some thing is wrong with you.

Anyway, we tried Le Cellier 3X's for dinner. all 3X's we felt the meal was way over hyped. I agree with most that the cheddar soup is fantastic but I dont go to an expensive steakhouse for the soup, I go for the steak.

My steak while tender was totally unflavored. I had the mushroom filet. My dh ordered the rib eye one time and the sirloin the next. all 3 times he had to salt it up and ask for sauce to give it flavor.

Now this was before it became a 2 credit place so hopefully it's gotten better but we won't ever tried it again. we much prefer Shulas.

The website says lunch is 11:30 - 3:00. But maybe someone on here can help me? I have a 2:20 ADR and I've read that LC is notorius for seating people late. If we get seated after 3:00 for some reason will we still be able to order lunch and just use the 1 TS? We definitely don't want to use 2 TS to go there for dinner.

Thanks for the help!

Wow I would like to know this too as I have a ressie there at 2:35, I never even thought to check when dinner started

I concur with the others about enjoying le Cellier at lunch. It is quite a large portion of food and you won't be hungry afterwards for hours.
The food is wonderful, one of our absolute favourites. But for us, it's nice to meet the other Canadians who work at the restaurant and to do the Canadian trivia while we wait. The answers some people give are hilarious!! It's funny that as US and Canadian neighbours we know so little about each other sometimes.
It's been quite a while since I enjoyed a steak at le Cellier and the menu may have changed a bit, but I hope they still have the breadsticks for you to enjoy!

I asked this question on another thread and was told that dinner doesn't start until 4:00 (there's an hour break between 3:00 and 4:00 where they don't take reservations) so as long as we are out we should be fine :)

That's the info I got!

I think LC is way over rated, I didnt think my meal was anything to write home about. I certainly dont think its worth 2 TS credits for dinner. I would stick with lunch. If lunch wasnt available, I would go somewhere else for dinner....i'd book something like Yachtsman or CG.

I Totaly agree, WAY OVERRATED, I would just go to the Garden Grill. :rotfl:
