Honey......I'm home!!!!!! :wave2:

We had so much fun - I laughed and laughed and laughed:rotfl2: . The 3 of us hanging out, was like old times again - it was so much fun!!!!!

Friday
We checked into a beautifully decorated Wilderness Lodge. We checked into room #1015, which was very close to the snack shop (I was glad I didn't have to far to go for my morning coffee:thumbsup2 ). I took pictures of the room - I'll show them later.

We changed our clothes and went to The California Grill for dinner. I told them it was our 10th anniversary that day, and I would really like us to have a window seat. We had to wait a little longer for our seat, but that was okay. We had a great view, and was there during Wishes:goodvibes . We had the Flatbread, Crab Sushi Rolls, and the Filet Mignon (which was the best filet I have ever had).

After dinner (which took 2 hours because we took it very slow) we went to DTD until midnight. Everything was beautifully decorated - it was nice to mosey around and look at everything.:)

Saturday
We woke up at 5am (which wasn't easy after staying up as late as we did - but that was our own fault) and left the resort at 5:30am to watch our friend watch the 1/2 marathon. We went to the MK to watch him run up MainStreet, and it was so nice to see the decoration still up and lit there too. When the runners went by, it was very exciting - we did alot of cheering:cheer2: . After our friend ran by, we left and hopped on the monorail to Epcot to see him finish. That was very exciting as well - he did a great job!!!!:woohoo:

After we left him (he went back to his resort to get some rest) we went back to our resort for breakfast at Whispering Canyon, which was very very good!!!!

We then went back to Epcot to spend the day there. Unfortunatly during our time there, Kevin's stomach started to not feel well. God Bless him though, we still did alot, and we had a great time:) !!! We did meet our friend at Coral Reef (which I wouldn't return to. I liked the atmosphere, but I didn't like the menu:sad2: . I wish it was more like Red Lobster, but it was more gourmet like). After dinner we left so Kevin could get back to the resort and go to bed. Unfortunatly his night didn't get any better, and he got sicker:guilty: .

Sunday
After Kevin had a bad night, he wanted to stay and sleep during the day on Sunday. So I picked up our friend and drove to MGM. We covered so much ground there, it was great:yay: !!!! Unfortunatly RnR was down for refurbishment, and I was really looking forward to going on that - oh well, next time. But we did almost everything else though - including Indiana Jones :woohoo: (I've never seen that, and I always wanted to). Kevin did make it to the park much later in the day, but he didn't stay with us long. We saw The Osborne Festival of Lights, which was breathtaking, and then we all left back to the resort.

At the resort, we all grabbed a small bite to eat at the snack shop, and then Kevin went back to the room, and my friend and I went to the MK for EMH. While we were there, we got to do everything again - it was awesome:woohoo: !!!! We stayed until 11pm.

Monday
Luckily, Kevin was feeling better and was up to having breakfast. So we picked up our friend, and went to the MK for breakfast at the Crystal Palacepooh: . This was our friends first time at a character breakfast, and he really enjoyed it. What was amazing to me at this breakfast, is this is the 3rd time in a row that we sat at the same table there - isn't that weird?! That building is so big, and we keep sitting at the same table - it's almost like our name is on it:rolleyes: .

After breakfast we hit some rides (all we went on the night prior, but that was totally okay with me), and then got a Dole Whip and watched Captain Jack's little showpirate: . The guy that plays him is awesome - acts just like him!!!!

Then we went on a couple of more rides, and then left for the airport at 2:30pm. I was sad to go, because we had so much fun (even though Kevin was sick, we still had some really fun times), but I was glad to go because I really missed my girls.

Our flight was very bumpy home - I hate that!!!!!
But when we got home, there were welcome home pictures on the door from the girls, and it made me almost cry. Then when we walked in the door, the girls cheered, just cheered, because we were home. What a wonderful feeling:goodvibes !!!!! As much as I love WDW, there's still no place like home!!!!!:cloud9:

Well, that was my trip in a nutshell.
I hope you all had a good weekend.
I will need to go back and catch-up on everything.

Until then, I gotta run and get Steph off to school.:teacher:
Have a good day today everyone!!!!

Am I there yet, I am so very sorry for your sister and your family. Lots of Pixie Dust and Prayers for all of you during this time.

Thanks.

I felt horrible about what I posted, in the middle of the night. I woke up and realized that it sounded like I was taking a pot-shot at the OP for talking about her day.

Maybe I'm being too sensitive, but if it was taken that way, I sincerely apologize!

We're just in total shock. He was only 49 and went into the hospital with double pneumonia just this past Friday. He was expected to recover and then went into cardiac arrest yesterday morning. Before we could get to the hospital, he passed away.

My sister has me extremely worried right now. I'm leaving in about 15 minutes to meet her at the funeral home. It's just all so surreal. I've known him since I was 13. :sad2:

Idroveallnight - I hope you didn't think I was being mean when I posted that. I thought I'd come on here to pass some time, and I made that one post and realized that I just didn't have it in me. I probably should have stopped before I made it, huh? :guilty:

eeyoresmoutainpals - Thank you!

Welcome home, Slo! It sounds like you had a wonderful time!

Sorry Kevin got sick though. John came down with a horrible cold when we there this past March and it really slowed him down and took a lot of the fun away for him.

My fingers are crossed that we can stay well in June!

Well, I'm off to the funeral home. I've never had to help anyone prepare for a funeral before. I have such a splitting migraine right now too. :sad2:

Am I There Yet - You have nothing to apologixe for! I am so sorry for your family's loss! What a horrible experience!

slo - welcome home!

Am_I_There_Yet - Please don't feel the need to apologize. I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that you are among friends here and we're all here for you. I realize that this is a very difficult time for you, your sister and your family but please know that your friends here are there with you in spirit! I will continue to keep your sister in my thoughts and prayers.:grouphug:

Sandy - So glad that you're home safely and that you had such a wonderful time. Can't wait to see some pics. I bet the girls were excited when you got home!

Sorry Kevin was sick. I got sick one time when we went years ago. I got sick with a couple of hours of getting there and that night we had to have a house doctor come up to the room. We went for three days and I could only go into the park one day!

Karen - I'm glad you had a good weekend too. Did I see you have a new ticker? How fun!!!!!!:yay:

Kathy - I will definitly post some pictures soon ::yes:: Luckily, Kevin never needed a doctor (that's a bummer that you did once - you must have been pretty sick:guilty: ) I'm just glad this happened w/o the girls so he could rest without loudness.

firemanslady09 - How fun that you will be going to The World soon too:woohoo: I forgot you can't PM yet - how many posts do you need until you can do that? I can't remember.

Well, I'm off and running!!
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Good Wednesday Morning All!

Kids are out of school for a snow day today. We ended up with about 5" yesterday. I still have to work today so I'm out of here. The roads are pretty rough this a.m. so it'll probably take me twice as long to get to work.

Have a great day!

Sandy, it sounds like a fun trip all in all. So sorry that Kevin didnt feel well. I think I have enough now to pm. Its 6 to pm and 10 to email.

A little more about us for those who asked. We are so looking forward to our trip. My ds who is 7 was sick last year. I didnt know the hospital was so good there, so we just made do in our room with his meds. He is a severe asthmatic. So we had the meds with us, but he could have used an extra steroid shot. I was thinking that we would have to go into orlando to find a hospital. I didnt realize that celebration had one or that the resort had medical staff. Thats one of the reasons we are going back this year, so that he can have more fun. Well that and we got hooked...lol My dd is 4. I have been married for 9 years. We live in Upstate NY. Feel free to ask any questions, I will be happy to answer.

AmIthereyet, please, please do not feel bad. You are going through a very tough time.

Thanks everyone! It's been quite the day, but we'll get through it. She is so surrounded by friends and family. She's really blessed when it comes to that.

Tomorrow evening is the viewing and Friday is the funeral. Then, bless her heart, Sunday is my sister's b-day. :sad1:

Let me run this past y'all -

The cemetery has lots of oak trees and she made sure to pick a plot that will be situated beneath one.

We're going to purchase wind chimes for the tree (a lot of other people have them there) and go there with her and then take her to get something to eat.

Does that sound appropriate?

I'm so out of my element dealing with this!

It's been so nice being home the last couple of days, but today it's going to end, and I have to go to work - I'm so not in the mood :sad2:

Idroveallnight - :wave2:

eeyore - Your kids got another snow day?! If I told Steph and Kate you got more snow, they would be so jealous!!!!! I bet your boys enjoyed being home:)

firemanslady09 - What a bummer about your son being sick last year:guilty: Sending you lots of PD :wizard: that everyone stays well and you have loads of fun this year!!!!:cool1:

Am_I_There_Yet - To answer your question about the windchimes:
Is there going to be a service at the burial plot, or is there going to be a service at a chapel at the cemetary? The reason why I ask, is because if it's going to be at the plot, than you may want to put the windchime on the tree after the service, so it's not making noise during the service (I'm listening to mine right now by the back door, and it does make alot of chiming). But in the end.......if it makes your sister feel better doing it before the service, than she should do whatever makes her feel better and not worry about all the chiming.
**I feel so sad for your family - I'm still sending lots of hugs :grouphug: and keeping you all in my prayers.

Well, I'm off to get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Good Morning All! Happy Thursday!

The kids are on a two hour delay, with limited bus routes. So I am taking A.J. and Andrew to work with me and then I'll run them over to school when it's time. DH is in charge of getting Matthew to school if the bus doesn't come up here. (We're right on the edge of the limited route so the bus driver uses her discretion. Luckily, we have a good bus driver and if she feels she can get up our hill she'll come up.)

So, I am off to work ladies. Hope you all have a good day.

Am_I-There_Yet - You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, especially tonight and tomorrow. :grouphug: Your sister is lucky to have so many people around her at this time. I think the wind chime idea is a wonderful idea! And like Sandy said, have her put it up whenever she feels it's the right time for her.

You should see this cemetery. There are chimes everywhere!

I once went to a funeral for a friend's three year old daughter and when they lowered her casket into the ground, the chimes in the children's area all started gently ringing, and there wasn't a breeze in the air.

It was the most incredible thing.

There were about 50 people standing around, and barely anyone knew anyone else, and we all started looking at each other like, "Did you just hear what I heard???"

To answer your question - there will be a formal funeral at the church and then a graveside service, but we were planning on giving them to her Sunday for her b-day, and offering to take her to the cemetery to hang them if she chooses.

Thanks everyone, for the kind thoughts and prayers. Today will be incredibly hard for her and we need them! :grouphug:

AmIThereYet, that sounds like a wonderful plan. A way to allow her to grieve and yet feel connected to him on her bday.

Eeyore, hope everyone made it safely to and from school and work!

Sandy, thanks for the pixie dust!

I think we have decided to do the pirate and princess party while we are there. I think planning this year is more fun than last year. I kinda have an idea this year, kwim? Did you all find you enjoyed the planning more once you had gone?

TGIF everyone!!!! :cool1:

It's weird to think that this time last week we were about ready to climb into our limo, and pull out of the driveway for WDW. Time sure flies!!!!!

I don't have a lot planned today - I think I'm just staying home (that way I won't spend any money. I need to not spend money after coming home from our trip last week).

eeyore - Is it still snowing by your house? I bet it's absolutly beautiful by you when it snows :)

AmIThereYet - My prayers are with you and your family today - and alot of hugs too :grouphug:

firemanslady09 - I have more fun planning our vacations every year. I saw the sign for the Pirate pirate: and Princess Partyprincess: , but I'm not sure what it's all about - what is it, and where is it?

Well, I'm off - have a good day today everyone!!

Am I There Yet - I hope you and your family are well. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers!

Snow days?? That would be cool - well maybe for a day! We are still very mild here. My Japanese Magnolia is beginning to bloom and looks beautiful! May be I will try to post a pic. The blooms from the camelias are falling now.

firemanslady - The first couple of times I went when oldest DD was very little, my mom did the planning. I was quite spoiled! I think it gets more fun because you know more. You just have no idae how big it all is until you go! Tell us more about the pirate and princess party.

eeyore - did the bus come? My husband loves to run around thehouse in the morning with the big cheer megaphone yelling "The bus is coming!!!" This is particularly entertaining to the kids since they don't take the bus!! :lmao: Well, Emily does, but only home in the afternooon.

Here's the start of my WDW pictures.
