Happy Saturday everyone! I am up bright and early this morning even though it's my day off. I laid down on the bed yesterday afternoon around 3:30 for a little nap. I woke up around 6 with a terrible headache so I ended up staying in bed all night. 15 hours of sleep you wouldn't think I'd wake up tired...but I am! :sad2: Luckily it wasn't a migraine, just a headache.

slo - No, it's not snowing anymore. In fact it started raining a little while ago so all the snow remaining will be gone soon. We're supposed to have rain all weekend. It really is beautiful when it snows here with all the mountains.

I love your pictures! Can't wait to see more. What did you and Kevin have for dinner when you went to the California Grill? Was it good? I would like to eat there one time - just DH and I.

Idroveallnight - Yes, the bus did come for Matthew that morning. So DH had to get out of bed but didn't have to go out! That is hilarious about what your Dh does, just so much more funny since they don't take the bus in the a.m. :lmao:

Am_I_There_Yet - I thought about you and your sister so much yesterday. :grouphug: How is your sister holding up??

I am so sore today!!!
I decided to start working out again yesterday so I could start preparing myself to start running again.

I used to run all the time before I got pregnant with Steph. After she was born, I started to run again, and I had horrible heel pain. The doctor told me I had a heel spur and for me not to run anymore - I was devostated!!! I was training myself to run a marathon, especially the WDW marathon, and to hear this news was like stabbing me in the heart. I was comfortably up to 6 miles, and I was going strong.

When we went last weekend with our friend who ran the WDW 1/2 marathon, I got so inspired to run again. At the expo that was there, they had someone there to help people with foot pain. They must have come up with something within the last 8 years to help people. I'm going to talk to my Podiatrist about this because I just have to run that 1/2 marathon. I'll probably need a special insert in my shoes to help cushion the heel while I run. So we'll see what happens.

Thanks for the compliments on the pictures!!!:goodvibes

Kathy - I'm sorry you woke up with a headache last night - I hate that!!!! I sure hope you didn't wake up with it this morning:wizard:
**When we went to CG we got a Flatbread first, then the sushi crab rolls second, and then we each got a Filet Mignon for dinner - it was all absolutly delicious!!!!:goodvibes

Well, I gotta run - have a good day everyone!!!

Good morning everyone!
We are up here as well! Cheerleading competition today :cheer2: ! James is just thrilled about spending the whole day!!! We have to get together 3 hours before to do hair, make-up, etc...

slo - good luck with yoru training!!

eeyore - sorry about your headache!!

Am_I_There_Yet - I thought about you and your sister so much yesterday. :grouphug: How is your sister holding up??

She seems to be doing okay, I think. Last night she told me that she just wanted to be home, surrounded by his things.

She wanted to go into her bedroom, turn off the lights, play some of his favorite music and cry. Since we haven't seen her really let go yet, I think this is her instincts telling her how she needs to move forward.

I have one sister telling her that she needs to stay surrounded by people, but I honestly think that this is what is making my other sister feel better, not the one that just lost her DH. Does that make sense?

I think she needs to start to process everything, and yes, that's going to involve pain, but I think it's necessary to go through that stage, because if she keeps putting it off, she can't move on to the other stages of grieving in order to heal.

Thanks for thinking about her!

I haven't caught up on the other posts, but I hope everyone else is on their way to enjoying their Saturday!:surfweb:

How's everyone this fine Sunday?????

I'm doing okay - it's very rainy and gloomy in my neck of the woods right now :umbrella:

Today I'm finishing my taking down the Christmas decorations. I got about 85% of it done yesterday, and I have a little bit more today. I can hardly wait to get all these boxes back into the attic, because right now it looks like we are moving:rolleyes:

Karen - How did the cheer competition go yesterday?:cheer2:

AmIThereYet - So many more hugs for your sister   My thoughts and prayers continue to be with her.

Well, I gotta run and make Kate some breakfast.
Have a good day everyone!!!

Hello everyone!

Emily's squad won their division yesterday. They were really awesome. All of their stunts went up and stayed up, evryone landed their tumbling - they were great!

Mom and I took Emily to see Eragon today.popcorn:: It was good. James would have gone, too, but he had a bowling party. Mom will take him later this week. She treats them to a movie for their good grades - she treated me too! I guess that is for raising kids who make good grades! :thumbsup2

The kids are out of school tomorrow, but I will be at work. Do ya'll have a holiday?
Have a great evening!:wave2:

Karen - Congrats to Emily for winning her division yesterday - that's great!!!!:cheer2:

Stephanie is off today, but I'm going to work.
This is one of our busy days since many people have the day off.

Have a good day today!!!

I scheduled an Encahnted Phone Call for James today. I won it from the movie rewards web site. They have a daily win game. Not a big prize, but still cool! Tigger will be calling him tonight at bedtime. :tigger: If you want to look at it, pm me your email address and I will send the info (you could just go to the website, but I am greedy and they will give me 50 points for a friend referral!)

Have a great day!!!!

I'm so tired..... Kevin had a call to a 'working' fire last night and didn't get home until after midnight. Until that time, I barely slept, because I never can when he's at a fire (especially when the weather is cold or really hot). Then he had to get up super early for work this morning (earlier than normal). I shouldn't complain though, at least I was warm in my bed. He only got 4 hours of sleep - he's must be so tired:guilty: :faint:

Karen - How was James phone call last night????? It sounds like so much fun!!!:yay: I would love to take a look at that website - please pm it to me when you get the chance :) :thumbsup2

Alright, I guess I should get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!!

James enjoyed his call from Tigger last night. I told him he was on phone duty last night so he could "practice" his phone skills. Emily was devastated - she feels like she is the phone queen! So I had to tell her!

Have a great day!

Sandy, wow those are wonderful pics! Love the mickey on the bed! I hope you get some help for your heel. I have heel spurs, and one tip a physical therapist told me is to put a couple golf balls in the freezer. Then when watching tv at night take them out and place them under your heel. Roll them around with your foot, it will break up scar tissue and decrease any swelling. I totally understand not being able to sleep when they are out. Then you feel bad because you know how exhausted they are the next day.

Eeyoresmountainpals, I hope your feeling better.

AmIThereYet, I hope you and your family are doing ok. YOu have been in my thoughts. It sounds like your right, she needs some time alone to process everything.

Idroveallnight, so glad your dd won! That is awesome about the tigger call! I bet that made phone duty so much more enjoyable.

Here is the info I found on Pirates and princess party. We ordered our tickets today. Now I have to sit back and patiently wait. Ok, not so patiently...lol
With an adventure map and treasure pouch in hand, families can embark on a quest for colorful beads, chocolate doubloons and fun throughout the Magic Kingdom theme park. Adventurers can explore Magic Kingdom on a quest for pirate coves and princess courts brimming with specially themed entertainment, participate in character meet-and-greets and experience some of the most popular Magic Kingdom attractions open throughout the evening. Guests are invited to dress up as a wily pirate or favorite Disney princess.

Adding to the magic of the event will be two new nighttime entertainment spectaculars:

-- "Disney's Enchanted Adventures Parade" features a new 39-foot-long raucous pirate ship overflowing with swashbuckling adventurers, plus a treasure-filled float with Captain Jack Sparrow himself. The colorful cavalcade moves down Main Street, U.S.A. with the twirling Jolly Roger Flag Corps -- plus royal knights on horseback, court dancers and a regal processional of Disney princesses and princes.

-- "Magic, Music and Mayhem," a fireworks display orchestrated to an original musical score, will fill the sky above Magic Kingdom.

"This new party allows guests to live out the adventures of scurvy pirates and pretty princesses," said Tara Anderson, Disney show director. "We have created a new Magic Kingdom event that lets you step right into your favorite stories and fairytales."

Party highlights:

-- Adventureland: Captain Jack Sparrow leads a pirate tutorial offering young buccaneers sword fighting tips; plus a chance for photos with Jasmine and laughs with the hilarious Genie.

--Fantasyland: A fish called Flounder and crazy crab Sebastian kick it up with an "Under the Sea" dance party, and meet-and-greets with Ariel.

-- Toontown: Court musicians and strolling jugglers hail princesses Cinderella, Belle and Aurora in a princess pavilion. Pirate Mickey and Donald invite guests to step right up and try their luck at carnival games in a themed play area.

--Frontierland: Singing sensation Riverboat Roulettes lure guests to a haunted river boat where the ghost of Jolly Roger spins tales amidst magicians and more.

-- Tomorrowland: Young guests meet a space pirate, boogie down at Stitch's cosmic dance party, and enjoy break-dancing pirates and other entertainment.

We ordered the personalized maps from disney's website too. Those were really cool!

Kevin made the best meal last night. He made chicken w/ ranch tacos, and then were really yummy!!!:goodvibes He had them at Chilis one night, and then he copied them here at home - he did a great job!!!!:thumbsup2 I told him he can feel free to make them whenever he wants;)

I bought a new step-box today, which means I"m going to have the sorest calves by tonight. I've been doing my workout w/o the box this past week, and it was time to go buy one (they are expensive, I'm really wishing I didn't sell my old one in a garage sale).

Karen - I'm glad James enjoyed his call - how fun!!!!:woohoo:

firemanslady09 - Thanks for the info on that party - it sounds like so much fun. Your kids are going to LOVE it!!!!! pirate: princess: Also...thanks for the tip about the golf ball - I will absolutly try that ::yes:::thumbsup2
**I tried looking at that link, but the picture was gone because the bidding stopped. It showed 4 pictures, but I'm not sure what you got.

Well, I gotta run
Have a good day everyone!!!

firemanslady - that dress is so pretty! Ya;ll are going to have such a good time!!

slo - it dawned on me this morning (pun intended) that you may have been asking for the website for the phone call! That is: www.disneyenchantedcalls.com
They have several to choose from. How is your heel?

The weather here has turned colder (it's 38 this morning). Not cold by everyone else's standards, but to us that's downright nippy!
I am worried about some of my plants. My Japenese Magnolia and lemon tree are in bloom.
Our Mardi Gras season kicks off this weekend! Woohoo! :dance3: There will be a small parade on Dauphin Island this weekend & next. Then the first weekend in February the Mobile parades start! Once it starts, there are parades almost every night! This is one of my favorite times of year!!!

Have a great day!!!

Sandy, good luck with the new step! Those tacos sound yummy! The dress that I got for Alyssa is the Cinderella dress with the Cinderellabration cape. It comes with a Crown and shoes. I will probably not bring the shoes though, just not practical for all that walking. Now I have to find a pirate costume for Dante. I like one on disney shopping which is what we might end up going with.

Idroveallnight, I hope your plants do ok! It was -1 this morning here.

Today I have to clean and work out. Not much planned. Tonight Dante is going to the Syracuse vs Cincinnati game (college basketball). We are huge fans...lol Hope everyone has a good day!

Karen - I hope the cold doesn't affect your plants much:wizard: Are the days still warm for you??? Thanks for the website and the email - I haven't had a chance to look at it much yet, but I will:thumbsup2

firemanslady09 - The Cinderella dress sounds lovely!!! princess: Did Dante have fun at his basketball game yesterday?

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!!!!

Good morning everyone!

I think my plants should be fine. Low today is 47 and our high is 54.

I am getting very excited about our trip. I can't wait to see the new Nemo show and ride! There won't be a Pirate & Princess party while we are there. That's ok - there is no such thing as a bad Disney trip! I am not too worried about the YOAMD - I would love for us to win something (get that castle ready), but we have special magic every trip! My question is what special things have happened to ya'll? I know there are a bunch of threads about this, I am just curious about Disnay magic that my friends have experienced!
Here's one from me - we got to wake up Tink on our last trip!:tinker:

TGIF everyone!!!! :cool1:

Not to much going on here today.
I have to clean house - so I'll be doing that all day today.

Karen - The new Nemo ride is great!! You'll love it!!!! :thumbsup2
**My most favorite Disney magic moment, is when we accidentally ran into all the princesses and prince charming in the back of The Town Hall when Stephanie was 4. I wish I had a picture to show you, but we weren't digital yet. We have a group shot of Steph with Cinderella, P.C., Snow White, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, and Alice in Wonderland (I know, she's not a princess). Than Cinderella asked Stephanie if she's seen her before because she looked familiar. I told her that we were at her castle for breakfast last year, and we are returning, tomorrow (this girl was the same cindy from the past year, I remembered her perfectly). So the next day, when we were at the castle, Cindy remembered Steph's name, and when she saw Steph, she made such a big deal out of it, and said to Belle, "Hey Belle, Stephanie is here!!!!" (it was the same Belle from yesterday). So Belle came, and all the other family's were looking at us like, how do they know them???? It was an amazing couple of days for Stephanie - every little girls dream!!!!!!!
**A side note............that day at Town Hall, was the first day I got to see Snow White (my favorite princess) after trying to see her in person my whole life. I was literally in happy tears, like I was a 5 year old girl. Snow White giggled when I told her, and Kevin took many pictures of us together :teeth:

Well, I gotta get Steph up for school
Have a good day today!!!
