What another awesome day!!! :sunny: I'm a little more sunburned, but I just don't care :teeth:

Katie was a little more brave in the pool today. She started jumping in as long as I would catch her. Before I know it, she'll be a little fish :thumbsup2

Now I am sitting on the front porch while DISing, and the breeze is absolutly wonderful. I just love summer time :cool1:

I have one issue with summer though, and that's bees and wasps. We have so many of them around here :scared: There is one type of bee this year that is the absolute worst. I've never seen anything like it - it's JURASSIC!!!! :scared1: Not only is it huge, but it has a big Indigo colored behind - it's really odd and it scares me:faint: I feel like this thing is following me around the yard. Wherever I go, there it is. We have bug killer sprays everywhere so we can grab it fast, but the thing takes off before we can spray it. I'll get it eventually!!! ;)

Good morning and Happy Memorial Day!!!!

We just got back from seeing Over the Hedge. I give it a big :thumbsup2 It was a good, fun movie!!!

Hi Kathy -

We did have a nice Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday and Sunday we were able to swim in the pool and I got a sunburn - but that's okay. It's nice to feel that summer is here ;) Then Monday, we went and saw Over the Hedge to beat the heat and while we were in the show a really bad storm came through. It was so bad, that it took a roof off a pizza joint in our town. So, I dropped Kevin off at the FD and I went home to clean up any damage there - luckily there was none. The damage was all on the north side of town and I'm on the south side.

I bet you are anxious for Andrew to graduate and have his school year be over. I took a quick look at your thread yesterday and I can't believe how you are getting flamed over this :sad2: If I had time to post again I would have, but I had to get ready for work. Just so you know - I'm still on your side!!!

Have a nice time at the Graduation tonight!! Let me know how it went.

Well, I gotta run - have a good day!!!

Good morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

Stephanie made her first goal last night!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Not only was it the first goal for her, but it was the first goal for the team. She got lots and lots of hugs from her teammates.

I'm glad you had a nice Memorial Day slo! I'm also glad that you were spared from any damage from the storm. I guess it's summer storm season already!!

Andrew's graduation was so nice. The reception afterwards was nicer than some wedding receptions that I've been to. One of the teachers did it and she had the tables all decorated with flowers and candles and lace tablecloths. She really went all out! Andrew got many, many awards and we were really proud of him.

I finally got the other thread closed down last night. I can't believe how nasty some of the posters were getting. I had posted very early in the afternoon and told myself I would not post again. I sent a PM to the mods around 2 but it didn't get closed until around 11 last night. I now know that PMing is not good, you need to click on the little triangle and report it that way. Oh well, I've learned a lot. I won't be venturing far from this thread or LTP anytime soon! :teeth:

(One of my friends from LTP found that one of the posters that was so nasty had a myspace page. We took a look at it and I found it very funny that she has posted on there "I don't want kids!" Then why are you even involving yourself since this is about a kid, and about schooling. I had figured she was a teacher but she isn't.)

Thanks Kathy!!!

I showed this to Stephanie last night and she smilied from ear to ear :teeth: It made her feel so good!!!!

Good morning everyone and TGIF!!!! :cool1:

I'm not working today, but I am volunteering at Stephanie's school. They have their field day today and they are serving pizza for lunch. They asked if parents would volunteer some time to help serve lunch. So I said, "Sure, I'd love to!!!" Stephanie is very excited about me helping out, which makes me feel good :goodvibes

I'm so happy for Andrew that he had a good graduation. What are his awards for? Tell him congradulations from me!!! Also....how is Andrew doing with the school situation? I don't know if you saw my post on your other thread, but I am concerned about him. I hope he isn't feeling to bad about this - luckily this happened close to summer so he can take a break from school for awhile.

Good for you!!!! I did notice this when I went back to it, and I'm glad you closed it ::yes:: . I couldn't believe how nasty some of the posters were getting either - it was making me mad :furious: You know you will always be family here and the LTP, and you will not be attacked for anything in these 2 places. :grouphug:

When you get a chance, PM me with the link - I would like to see it!!! :thumbsup2

Good Saturday morning!!! :surfweb:

Today is mine and Kevin's 11th wedding anniversary  We are going to downtown Chicago for dinner, and then we are having martini's after dinner :goodvibes It will be a nice night!!

But first, I have Stephanie's soccer game this morning, and Kevin is doing his open water dives to finish his scuba diving course. Never a dull moment :sad2:

Have a good day!!!

I'm home!!!! Ok - it was wondeful!

Kathy - you will have to send me your thread so I can catch up on your situation! Congrats on DS's awards!

slo - I'm keeping my fingers crossed about your MRI. Congrats to Steph on her goal!

The trip was wonderful, but too much to post all at once! Emily got 11 awards at Honors Day and James got picked for Allstars baseball.

The London Eye (ferris wheel) is huge! The Eiffel Tower is HUGE!! and DIsneyland Resort was pretty cool. We went to the papal audience in Rome & got a papal blessing.... I could go on & on! I think however I will take my jetlagged butt to bed! Our return trip was over 24 hours!

WELCOME

Good Sunday morning everyone!!!! :sunny:

What a beautiful day it is going to be today!!! We are going to spend the entire day outside. I have many, many, many weeds to pull, and many, many leaves to pull out from under the bushes. It will be a busy day!!! But that's okay, the yard always looks so good after I'm done :thumbsup2

Our anniversary was very nice yesterday  Kevin and I went to a restaurant called Wildfire in downtown Chicago and I ate way to much. I have come to the conclusion that I am a foodaholoic :rotfl2: When I have good food, I just can't stop eating ;)
So this is what I had:
Appetizer (we shared) - spinich and artichoke fondue :goodvibes
Dinner - 10oz filet w/ blue cheese crust, mashed potatoes, and then we also ordered a bowl of large mushroom caps (we shared the mushrooms). :goodvibes
Desert (we shared) - ice cream sandwichs done up all fancy :goodvibes
I definitly ate to much - but I couldn't help it :sad2: It was all so good :goodvibes
Walking around downtown was very nice too - beautiful night for it!!!

Idroveallnight - I'm so glad to see you made it home safe and sound. Sounds like you had a wonderful trip - I can hardly wait to hear more about it!!! Congrats to Emily on all her awards, and also to James for getting picked for Allstars :cheer2: Thanks for the congrats on Stephanie's goal - it was a very proud moment for her and me. Her last game is Wednesday and I'm a little bummed out - soccer has been alot more fun than I imagined it would be :cool1:

Well, I gotta run - have a good day!!!!

Good Monday morning!!!! :surfweb:

This is what I have to say this morning: OMG I am so sore!!!! I woke up and could barely move. My hands hurt so bad, it's hard for me to type  We were outside all day yesterday and I chopped and cut and picked up so many branches and leaves that it was unbelievable!!!! The yard does look so much nicer, but holy cow, I'm really paying for it today!!!

The kids had a great day outside all day too :cool1: I bought a new picnic blanket from Target, and they ate lunch on it outside. Which was nice, because then I could keep working while they ate lunch. After being outside all day, Katie was so tired that she went to bed at 6:20pm. I gave her a shower and she said, "I want to go to bed." I said, "Don't you want to eat supper first?" She said, "No, I want to go to bed." and she started to cry :sad1: . So, I put her in bed, and she fell asleep in a matter of minutes. Poor thing was exhausted!!!!

Idroveallnight - How are you adjusting to being back home? Do you all have any jetlag?

Well, I gotta run - have a good day everyone!!!

The jet lag is passing, it's just hard to get back in the groove. Work went OK today. It was good to see my friends - I do like my coworkers (most of them)! My mom and I are struggling as we now have nothing to plan! Now I guess I can get to work on the scrapbook for Sarah! I hope your soreness is better soon! I'm sure your yard looks awesome!

I bet it is hard to get back into the groove - I'm always like that to when I come home from vacation ::yes:: Did you take tons of pictures?

My soreness is better today, but not totally gone :sad2: My yard looks okay, but it's still not where I would like it to be. I still have lots to do  A couple of things I planted got some frost bite in May and they are now dead :guilty: So, I have to replace these things, which is a pain - oh well!!

Today is Stephanie's last day of school :teacher: Her teacher made the most wonderful Memory Binder of Stephanie's year at school - God Bless her!!!!

Well, I gotta run - have a good day!!!!

slo - I hope you get your yard the way you want it! I hope Stephanie enjoys her last day of school. Don't be bummed about the summer school. James was struggling in reading in 1st grade and he did a program called Tiger Club. They met after school. It was great!! He had surpassed his end of the year goals in no time! I think the small group and more one on one attention is just what they need! :teacher:

Have a great day everyone!! :sunny:
