Good Wednesday morning everyone!!!! :surfweb:

It's my day off today, and I am still waking up at the crack of dawn  - what's wrong with me :confused3 I actually enjoy the morning time - it's nice and quite around the house :tiptoe:

Today is Stephanie's first day off and she is going to a pool party. She is very excited!!!! :cool1: It should be alot of fun!!!

Then tonight, Stephanie has her last soccer game :guilty: I really enjoyed her playing soccer. I'm already looking forward to next spring ;)

Idroveallnight - I'm not to bummed about summer school :teacher: . I'm actually slightly glad now that she's going so she can continue strengthening her reading skills during the summer. She would give me a hard time doing it at home, but she won't have a choice at school :sad2: . Luckily, she's not upset about going, which is a good thing!!!

Well, I gotta run - have a good day!!!

slo - A pool party sounds fun!! WIll Stephanie get a trophy? My kids always love the trophy! Enjoy your day off!

Good morning everyone!!!! :surfweb:

I don't mean to sound like a bragging parent - but I just gotta share this :p - Stephanie made 2 goals at her soccer game last night!!!!! :cheer2: During the third quarter she fell head over heals and banged her head on the ground really hard  - she cried and cried and cried  . So she sat with me for about 10 minutes and she said she wanted to go back in and play. I told her it was a "good hurt" and that it shows she's playing hard  . After she went back in, it took her just a couple of minutes to make her second goal  The team made 4 goals during the whole season, and Stephanie made 3 of them :cheer2:

Idroveallnight - Yes she will get a trophy (just what she needs, another trophy to gather dust on  ). The coach said that we will all get together at Dairy Queen next week and he will hand them out there :thumbsup2

Well, I gotta run - have a good day!!!!

slo - Good for Stephanie!!!!! That is AWESOME!!!! If she keeps going like this you are in for bunches of trophies! I am also glad her injury wasn't serious. Sarah is very excited. Her soon to be room mate (Katie) is coming for a visit this weekend. I think we will have a cookout on Saturday. They probably won't be around much - I think they'll be at the beach alot! Have a great day!!!

Good FRIDAY morning everyone!!! :cool1:

Today is Katie's last day at daycare for the summer. As weird as this is going to sound, I'm going to really miss that place - I've been going there everyday for the last 5 years. The one thing I'm not going to miss is the bill :sad2: ;) .

Today is also the day that I'm going to the Pain Management Doctor to get the results of my MRI. Nothing is going to be done today, this is just a consultation only. I'll let you all know all about it later.

Yesterday Stephanie was with my mom all day and they had lots of fun. They went to a splash park and then McDonalds for lunch. Then last night, my mom took Stephanie to her house to spend the night - how nice of her!!!! I have a such a great mom!!!

Idroveallnight
Good for Stephanie!!!!! That is AWESOME!!!!
Thanks!!!! I will show her that :teeth:

If she keeps going like this you are in for bunches of trophies!
Don't remind me  She already has to many trophies ;)

Sarah is very excited. Her soon to be room mate (Katie) is coming for a visit this weekend. I think we will have a cookout on Saturday. They probably won't be around much - I think they'll be at the beach alot! Have a great day!!!
I am so glad that Sarah and her roommate have become such good friends :) I remember when you told me about having to go meet her for the first time. Do you and your DH like her? Is she a good friend for you DD?

Well, I gotta run!!! The air-conditionar repair man is coming early this morning and I don't think he wants to see me look like this :chewy: Have a great day!!

slo - I can't wait to hear the outcome of your consultation! Speaking of daycare, I had to put J & E in daycamp this summer. Just for 3 days a week & it's a good deal, but I haven't paid for childcare in years!! We like Katie. She's so upbeat and happy. I think our cook out is turning into a shrimp boil! Have a great day!

Finally, after all day trying to post a reply, a finally can :thumbsup2 I have been going through some serious DIS withdrawl!!!!!

Okay....so where do I start :scratchin I guess I will start with my doctors appointment yestereday. So, the results of my MRI showed that I have a very irritated swollen joint in my neck, bulging discs, and arthritis in my neck :headache: . So the doctor suggested me to get the epideral, cortisone (sp?) shot in my neck/spine. He said that this should help everything. If it doesn't help the joint, then I can get a second shot in the joint at a later date. He also said that my job is what is causing so much irritation to the neck because I am looking down 90% of my work day. I guess it's a good thing that I'm only working 2 days this summer :thumbsup2 .

Then yesterday I witnessed a terrible thing at the mall. A lady and her 4 year old DD were seperated and this mother was frantic!!!! :scared1: The mall had an announcement going over the loud speaker about the little girl as the mother was SCREAMING for her. I have never seen anything like this, and I was so scared for her. My stomach got tied up in knots and I wanted to cry for her :sad1: . Luckily in about 3 minutes, her and her DD were reunited to both of them crying alot. I was so happy for her!!!!

Today, the buyer of my Grandmas car came and took it away - a very very sad moment for the family  My Grandmas car was her pride and joy!!! It was a 1977 Oldmobile Cutlass Supreme w/ 35,000 miles on it. It was in perfect condition and she loved that car!!! The buyer was an older man and we know he will take good car of it. He told my mom that he was going to name the car Irene after my Grandma :goodvibes - what a nice guy!!!

Idroveallnight - How was your cookout or shrimp boil today? Either of them sound yummy!!! :goodvibes

Well, I gotta run and figure out where Stephanie is. Her and her friend went outside and I think they ended up in my neighbors house (which is her friends Uncle's house). Have a good night!!!

Good Sunday morning everyone!

I am hoping to have a very relaxing day with my family today since DH and I have both been working lots of hours and we're both off today.

Our boys are hoping to camp out in the front yard tonight. It will be their first night camping alone. They planned to do it last night and got the tent up but then we had the worst thunderstorms that we've had in a long, long time. So the plan is to try again tonight.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Good morning everyone!

eeyore - I hope the camping goes well! We aren't much into camping - it's so hot here. Jim & James will put the tent up sometimes in the winter. They like it cold!

slo - are you going to get the injection? I know he'll take good care of "Irene"! It must be hard to let her things go! Just remember they are only things! You and your family are actually parts of her! SHe is always with you!

Ok - James' birthday is the 25th, but we had to give him his gift early. He got a puppy! :dogdance: paw: SHe is an Australian Shepard & so cute! James is doing quite well with her. She seems to have bonded to him already!

Sarah & Katie hace had a great visit. They drove :drive: to the beach :beach: yesterday. Katie got sunburned. Then we had our shrimp boil. It went well. My mom & dad, sister and Sarah's friend Chad came. The food was great, but I have to say the blue margarita's were great! :drinking1

Have a great day!!

Good Monday morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

Today is my first day not having to get Katie ready for daycare. It's going to feel weird having her stay home. I wonder if she's going to miss it :confused3 ?

Last night I watched Highschool Musical with Stephanie and I give it a big :thumbsup2 Now I have all that music running through my head :rolleyes1 ;)

eeyoresmountainpals - Did you have a nice day with your family yesterday? Did you all go somewhere, or did you have a relaxing day at home? How was the boys campout last night?

Idroveallnight - Yes I am getting the injection ::yes:: It is scheduled for the morning of June 27th, a Tuesday. Thanks for the kind words about my Grandma's car - I appreciate it . So, you got James a puppy :dog: how fun!!!!! What is the new puppies name? I'm glad Sarah and Katie are having a nice visit together. Hopefully Katie's sunburn is not to bad :sunny: There's nothing worse than a really bad sunburn.

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work - have a good day everyone!!

Happy Monday!

slo - the puppy's name is Hannah. It was James' pick! Katie flew home yesterday. The sunburn didn't stop her from having fun!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Tuesday morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

I'm not working today, and I'm still up at the crack of dawn - am I crazy or what!!!! I actually do like being up early in the morning when the house is nice and quiet :tiptoe: Plus....I get most of my housework done in the morning :thumbsup2

Today is mine and the girls first day of activities at the library. This activity is for Katie's age, and Stephanie will have to be by herself in the childrens book area. Then tonight is my first night of Real Estate School :woohoo: I'm looking forward it!!!

Idroveallnight - Hannah's a great name :dogdance: !!! I'm glad Katie's sunburn wasn't to bad :) It's to bad that her visit was so short.

Have a good day today!!!

slo - you should be sleeping!! Just kidding! Enjoy your time at the library! I think James might be my last summer reading program guy! Emily has to do required reading for school.

Well, I have to take Emily & Morgan to their last day of Pirate Camp - it's a 2 day program at the school to help make the transition to middle school easier!

Enjoy the library! How many times will you have to say Shhhh?

Good Morning all!

Idroveallnight - I'm so happy about James getting a puppy for his birthday. And I love the name Hannah! I bet they'll be buddies for a long time!! Glad the weekend visit went so well. I wish our DD had a roommate like that when she started college. She had been told her roommate's name and phone number and they talked a few times on the phone over the summer but never got to meet. Then the other girl decided not to go to that school at the very last minute and they dumped someone else in DD's dorm. They were total opposites.

The Pirate Camp sounds like a neat idea. I wish they had something like that for the transition to high school. I think Andrew is in for a rough time adjusting to high school. He doesn't like crowds and is easily intimidated by large groups. We only have one high school for the entire county so needless to say it is crowded! He will definitely have some adjusting to do!

slo - Enjoy your time with Katie home. It's going to seem so different!! But you know already how fast they grow so cherish it! Good luck with your first night of Real Estate school. How long will you have to go before you're all done??

Enjoy your time at the library!!

I enjoyed my Sunday off! I got a lot of housework done, but at a leisurely pace so I still felt like I was off work! :teeth: We didn't go anywhere. I told DH I did not want to have to go anywhere all day long. The boys still haven't gotten to camp out. They had the tent up for two nights but each night at dusk we got terrible thunderstorms, the worst we've had in a long time! Yesterday they took the tent down because DH was on night shift last night and he is again tonight and I've told them even if they want to sleep out alone, DH still has to be home. So they're going to try again tomorrow night.

Today is DH's birthday. I have a doctor's appointment this morning and then after that the boys and I are going to get his birthday present and go to the grocery store. The boys plan to make his cake and I'm fixing Fettucini Alfredo with Chicken! I found a recipe that is supposed to be very much like Olive Garden's. I hope it turns out. DH love Fettucini Alfredo but I usually cheat and just get the Ragu alfredo sauce. :teeth: DD is supposed to come up for dinner but she'll go back early because she has to work in the a.m.

Hope everyone has a beautiful day!

Just thought I'd pop on here for a quick evening post!

The fettuccini alfredo was absolutely delicious. We all thought it was better than Olive Garden's! If anyone wants the recipe let me know and I'll give you the link to it.

I had a doctor's appointment today and I thought it would be about a five minute appointment. Well, it wasn't. I have battled high blood pressure for many years but lately my heart rate has been high too, even at rest. The doctor had put me on some other medicine for my b.p. and it was helping but I was getting too many other side effects and I asked him to switch me back to what I had been taking. Well, now he wants me to go for a chest x-ray, a pulmonary function test and see a cardiologist to rule out an underlying problem. It really hit me when he was saying all this....pulmonary....cardiologist! Those are some big, seriuos words and I don't even want to think those things. My mom died of emphysema and I know what that is like! And my dad died of lung cancer, which was found on a routine chest x-ray. I go for the pulmonary function test and chest x-ray Thursday but don't know yet when I'll get in with the cardiologist. Please keep me in your prayers! I'm really scared.

Have a good night everyone!

Good morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

Today is Stehanie's first day of summer school :teacher: ,and then afterwards we are going to the library to see Ronald McDonald :clown: Stephanie was still awake when I came home last night, and she said she didn't want to go to summer school :sad2: (I think she is a little nervous). I told her that she'll be done with school before me, and that made her a little happier :) I also explained how important school is and how you can never have to much school. I think it's good that she's me going to school (I also took some education classes at a local college before Katie was born), and has seen her father go to numerous FD schools, so she understands that school doesn't have to end when you are a grown-up.

My class was good last night, and I'm going to learn alot. My head was kinda spinning when I came home from the amount of info we covered :headache: I don't know what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting the kind of info we would be covering - but hey....that's okay!!! :thumbsup2 I have 5 chapters to read by Thursday, and I came home and read 2 last night. So you all know what I will be doing this afternoon while Katie is taking her nap.

Idroveallnight -
Enjoy your time at the library! I think James might be my last summer reading program guy! Emily has to do required reading for school.
Thanks, we really did too :teeth: The activity I did with Katie was sorta lame, and even she was like, "What in the heck is this :confused3 ??? (she didn't say that of course)" But then when it was over she really liked looking at all the books. Stephanie had to be by herself when we were doing the activity, and she liked having some alone time :goodvibes . Both girls came home with alot of books.
Well, I have to take Emily & Morgan to their last day of Pirate Camp - it's a 2 day program at the school to help make the transition to middle school easier!
That sounds like a great program!!! I don't think that they have anything like that here :sad2: My little Stephanie has to start middle school at 5th grade - the parents around here, including me, are not very happy about it

eeyoremountainpals -
Good luck with your first night of Real Estate school. How long will you have to go before you're all done??
Thanks, I was a little nervous starting it last night, but not anymore. This class will last until Aug. 15th (or there abouts) and then I will need to take the State test - that will make me nervous!!! :o (I wish there was a nailbiting smilie)
I enjoyed my Sunday off! I got a lot of housework done, but at a leisurely pace so I still felt like I was off work! :teeth:
I'm glad you had a good Sunday, I know you were looking forward to it!!! :)
Today is DH's birthday
Happy belated birthday to you DH :bday: :cake: I'm glad your dinner turned out awesome :goodvibes I would love the receipe, so if you could post the link that would be great - thanks :) !!!! Did you DD make it home for your DH's birthday dinner? Let me know how she's doing and how everything went.
Well, now he wants me to go for a chest x-ray, a pulmonary function test and see a cardiologist to rule out an underlying problem. It really hit me when he was saying all this....pulmonary....cardiologist! Those are some big, seriuos words and I don't even want to think those things.
I understand the fear going through you, because I had that same fear when I was told to see a Neurologist  It's a very scary thing to hear :faint: !!! My mom sees a cardiologist due to a valve in her heart that doesn't close all the way (I'm not saying you have the same thing, because I have no idea), but she is on a maintence drug to help with this situation. A cardiologist is a good doctor to see because he/she will help you try and prevent something like a heartattack. It's better to see this doctor now, than after something dreadful happens. So......you can actually look at this as a blessing in disquise because you will have the ability to know what's wrong, and start taking care of it now. Better now, than later!!! I know that doesn't make the fear go away, so I want to give you lots and lots of hugs . Please try and not worry to much, because like me, you will probably go to the doctor, find out the problem, and realize that this is something that can be helped so you don't get worse. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and please keep us posted on what the cardiologist tells you. You know we care about you!!!! :grouphug:

Well, I better get going and wake Stephanie up for school - wish me luck, she's going to be like a grizzly bear when I wake her up :ewok: :scared1: Have a good day everyone!!!

Good Morning!

slo - you must be sleeping in! Good for you!

eeyore - It would be a good plan for HS! I'm glad your dinner went well & I would love the recipe - it's one os Sarah's favorites & I would love to suprise her! I will say some prayers for you about DS starting high school. I hope he will have a smooth transition. Try not to be scared about the specialists! I think seeing a specialist is a positive thing! Better to go early & have everything checked out by the people who know best! Hopefully it is just a side effect and they can make medication adjustments! Keep us posted!

:dogdance: baby Hannah is doing great! I took her to the ballpark while James practiced last night. The kids enjoyed her! I want her to be very well socialized. We have decided to crate train & that seems to be going well.

slo - you must be sleeping in! Good for you!
No.....I wasn't sleeping in :sad2: , even though Kevin keeps telling me not to get up so early when I don't have to work. I get up every weekday at 5:40am :sunny: - crazy I know!!! Me and you posted at the same time today :teeth:

Stephanie wasn't happy at all about going to school this morning - she even cried  Someday she'll thank me for making her go to summer school :teacher: But for now.....she's mad at me :furious: , but she'll get over it!!! :thumbsup2

slo - she will get over it!! As reading becomes easier it becomes more fun! She will probably end up enjoying it before the session is over! I think I would be sleeping in!!!
