Life has been pretty busy. My son is keeping us busy with lacrosse games. Not to mention everything we already do. One good thing is cheerleading is over for the year.

Hi Kathy!!!

We miss you around here!!! But I understand about being busy - this is the busiest I have ever been in my life and I know that I will only get busier as Katie gets older and wants to get involved with activities.

How are the TLP gang? I haven't been there in a really long time - like you said, no time. When I sit down at the computer, 6:30am comes so fast and then that's it for the day. Tell everyone there that I said hi!!!

Good luck with volunteering Andrews class on Tuesday. How long will you be gone? What will you be doing at the NC outer banks?

LTP gang is all great. I'll tell them you said hi. It's been a little slow over there, everyone busy with their lives! You know how that goes.

Andrew's class will be gone five days, leaving tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6:30 a.m. and returning Saturday evening around 7:00 p.m. So many things planned for the trip --- ferry to Ocracoke Island, lighthouse trip, pier fishing, a sightseeing airplane ride!!!

So sorry about all that you're going through with work Sandy. That just stinks. I know you mentioned a while back about your hours being cut and I wondered then if there wasn't more to it!

polly p - Would love to hear more about your cruise. Did you just get back???

eeyore - I hope ya'll have a great trip! It sounds like lots of fun!!

pollyp - I have heard the Disney cruises are great - I guess it must be true since you've already booked another!

slo - James' team lost their game Friday, but that's OK because we went back to our original pitcher so James is hitting again so he was happy. We won Saturday and James had three good hits and caught a pop fly at the plate. He plays coach pitched so the coaches pitch to them and he loves Coach Jesse's pitching. We had to make a 3D model of the skin and write a 300 word report for Emily this weekend. I love a good project! She and I had a good time at Michael's buying the supplies.
How is soccer going? Still having lots of fun?? I don't see how they just run and run and run!!

I just saw my first raccoon on the lose since living in this house . Thank goodness we got our hole on the roof plugged up so I know he won't get in

polly p - So good to see you!!!! I'm so glad that your cruise was great You should post some pictures, I would love to see them!!! My health is doing better since the last time you were here - thank you for asking . I am going to physical therapy for my neck to help my headaches. My headaches are better, but now my neck is sore all the time - the physical therapists said that's normal.

eeyoresmountainpals - Wow, 5 days will be a long trip, sounds like fun!!! Please let us know how it went when you return. The situation at work does stink - I'll keep you all posted how it's going as things change.

Idroveallnight - That's great that James had a good game on Saturday Stephanie had a pretty good game at soccer Saturday too She really enjoys being the goalie. She dives for the ball as it approaches the goal and the people cheer - she then grins from ear to ear (to cute). Emily is so lucky that she has a creative mom to do her projects with. I'm not that creative, so when Stephanie has projects I'm going to have to ask you for ideas on how to do them .

slo - I'm glad Stephanie is enjoying soccer. That's cool that she plays goalie! I think anyone can make a good project if you have the $$ to spend at the craft store! They make it easy! We don't spend lots, though. The most expensive thing we bought was the Floam that we used to make fat! Of course, the rest won't go to waste! I think the kids are going to fight over the left over Floam.

Good morning everyone!!!

Thank you Idroveallnight for reading that thread and posting. He still hasn't called me since his conversation with Kevin the other day. Kevin told him when I would be home on Tuesday, and you would think that he would have definitly called after Kevin told him my Grandma died (he knew my Grandma very well). I'm basically going to write him off. If he calls great, if he doesn't great. I'm done stressing out about it. I'm not going to tell him that I'm writing him off, I'm just done being the only one trying to keep this friendship going. For someone so religious, which he really is, I would think that God wouldn't approve of him neglecting his Goddaughter. We choose him as Godfather because of his strong faith and I firmly believed he would be involved with her life forever. I didn't feel this was unrealistic because my Godparents (my parents best friends) are still very involved with my life. Oh well, what are you going to do.

I have to go for some blood work this morning, which means I have to fast . I really am missing my coffee this morning Then later I'm going to really miss my cereal. Oh well, my mom is going with me so we can go shopping afterwards, and she is going to take me out to breakfast - yum!!!!

I hope your lab work goes well slo! Enjoy your breakfast! I was off yesterday and I ran lots of errands. I am home again today. James has pink eye. This is like the best sick day ever! He isn't really sick so we get to hang out and I don't have to feel guilty about calling in. We complain all the time at work about parents who send their kids to school sick! I can't be one of those parents!! So, I will make the scarifice & spend the day at home with James - I think there is a nap in my future!!

Hi there and Happy Saturday!!!!

I hit my 5000th post last night - I was so excited!!!! Now I have to work my butt off to catch up to Kathy Speaking of Kathy - if you are reading this, how was your week with Andrew and his class? I bet you are exhausted. Please let us know how it went.

My bloodwork went well, I've never minded having this done. This is the first time they took 6 viles out of me - they sucked me dry!!!! Then my mom and I had a really yummy breakfast afterwards. I had a skillet w/ lots of potatoes, onions, mushrooms, eggs, chicken fried steak and sausage gravy. It was good, but boy it really gave me a stomach ache - INDIGESTION!!!!

Then my mom and I went shopping at Kohls were she bought me a new outfit for Mother's Day, that was very nice!!!

Karen - How is James eye today??? Did it move to the other eye? Sending lots of PD for his eye or eyes to get well soon!!!

Well, I gotta run and make fish sticks w/ macaroni and cheese for dinner. Have a good night!!!

Happy Sunday! James is all better, it did not spread and so far no one else in the house has it! My parents are going to come over today for a cook out. Jim didn't gat OT today so he's in the mood to use the grill. Mom, Sarah and I are going to use it as a planning session for the BIG TRIP!!

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday!

Our trip was pretty great. Our room had a view of the ocean and the pool, the kids were in the pool and the ocean every day, we walked on the beach every morning (except the last morning) at sunrise, we went to lighthouses, two museums, sand dunes (I sat that one out but the kids loved them!), took a ferry ride and my personal favorite...we all got to take a ride over the outer banks in a small plane!!! We also had some very nice meals. Friday we were supposed to go go-carting and do mini-golf. All of the kids decided that they would like a very nice meal to be able to sample the fresh seafood of the area. So they gave up the mini-golf and go-carting for a nice dinner...and nice it was!!!

Only down side to the trip was that Friday afternoon DD called and was in extreme pain and was doubled over. Her friend took her to the ER. Turns out she has a kidney and a bladder infection. Well, she had called me a little before midnight Friday night and I had told her to check in with me every time she got up and I told her to set her alarm to get up to take her medicine. She didn't call again so naturally I was getting worried. On the way home, since I was driving my own van and not riding the bus, I decided to detour (only added an extra three hours to my trip ) and go to her apartment in Charlotte. I had been calling her cell phone every twenty minutes for hours and couldn't get her. You know what goes through a mom's mind....maybe she was in pain and couldn't move, maybe her fever came back and she needed help, maybe she had taken too many of the pain killers, you know how a mom's mind works overtime like that! Turns out she had been sleeping soundly from the pain killers and had her phone on vibrate so she never heard it! It made for a really long day for me because with that side trip I drove over 500 miles yesterday! But I'm glad I made the side trip because otherwise I would have kept worrying!

slo - I'm glad Stephanie is enjoying soccer so much. Soccer is Matthew's favorite sport and his favorite position is goalie!!

idroveallnight - I like your take on having to spend the day at home with James Friday! I always look for those opportunities and I think they make for such good memories for the kids as well! Enjoy your cookout and planning session!

Good Monday morning!!!

Katie was so funny last night. I sat down to read her some bedtime stories and she stood up, took the book and said, "I read it!!!" I said, "okay." So she sat with the book, and read the book to me how she thought it should be read. It was so cute !!!! She sees Stephanie reading to me every night and she wanted to do the same thing. This was one moment that I was really bummed out that I didn't have a camcorder going.

Idroveallnight - I'm so glad that James eye is doing better, and that it didn't spread to the other eye . How was your cookout?? Tell your mom that I said hi!!

eeyoresmountainpals - I'm glad you had a good trip!!! Sounds like you did a lot of fun activities. I'm so sorry to hear about your DD You are such a good mom to take that detour - I would have done the same thing!!! Sending her lots of PD to help her get well soon!!!! Good morning everyone!!!

This is the morning I have that EMG test at my neurologist. I'm not looking forward to it This is the test where they put the electric shocks into my fingertips, and then do accupunture. The doctor said that the first part will feel like touching a raw plug w/ wet fingers, and then the second part will feel like a bunch of bee stings. Sounds like a blast!!! Wish me luck!!

Idroveallnight - DD is getting better. Yesterday was her first day back to work. I called her last night and she was "out of it." I'm really afraid that she's still taking the painkillers. I will know more after I talk to her this afternoon.
