slo - I'm sorry if I worried you! This may sound sappy, but he had such a great day! I took him for a long walk (a treat since he wasn't usually well behaved on a leash), he played in the sprinkler for about 3 hours (his favorite game) and Jim and James cooked outside & fed him fried chicken scraps. He really had a wonderful day & it was alomost instant. I am thankful that he wasn't crying and in lots of pain. I think it would have been more horrible for James if we had to make a decision to put him to sleep. James is doing well. We keep talking about it. We just all keep reassuring him that it was not his fault.
I am getting nervous about our trip! Just over a month! Thank goodness my mom is such a great trip planner or I'd be lost!
I was really bummed about this 2nd job I've taken because it meant giving up my day off... then I got my first check and it was enough to pay for my plane ticket to Europe!! Now I'm begging to do anything I can! I will probably only have 2 more days of work as Synagis season ends this month. I hope I have enough on my next check to pay the rest of Sarah's ticket. Mom is helping pay for Sarah's trip as her graduation gift! My mom is way cool!
Ok - now that I have bored ya'll with all the deatils of my life (I'm catching up for the days I missed) - I will sign off since I can't go to work in pj's. I personally think that is a silly rule! PJ's rock!

That's nice about Popo having a good day before he passed. I can tell that he was really loved by all of you. I'm especially glad that James is doing okay and is not blaming himself. I just want to give him a hug!!!!

I'm glad your second job is working well for you. That's great!!!

Your mom is so nice !!! That's great that she's helping pay for Sarah's trip for her graduation gift.

Also, you are never boring me with your life details - we're friends!!!!

My mom & dad got home from Canada yesterday. They are both exhausted! I just like it better when Mom is home - I hate having to wait to tell her anything!
The kids are still on Spring Break. Emily went to Tuscaloosa with a friend for a couple of days & James is on his 2nd sleepover! Jim & James are going deep sea fishing tomorrow - it's the opening day of snapper season.
I think it might rain this weekend!! We have been over 45 days without rain and the pollen & dust are horrible!

slo - I am so excited for Stephanie!!! I love kid's sports! We have had a great weekend...very relaxed. Friday I took Emily shopping - she is still spending her birthday money & gift cards. We went to eat at Olive Garden. It was a great day. Emily got her haircut Saturday - she donated it to Locks of Love. Her new cut is so cute! I am very proud of her!
I can't believe Spring Break is over! It is going to be sooooo hard to get everyone up tomorrow! I decided to post tomite because I figured tomorrow am would be bad!

So when do everyone's schools let out? Our last day is June 1. I can't believe another school year is almost over! How about ya'll?

Good Monday morning everyone!!!!

What a beautiful day yesterday until approx. 4pm when it got cold - Buuurrrrr (maybe not that cold, but I had to put a coat on me and the girls) I spent part of the day pulling weeds and it was great. I'm normally not the biggest fan of pulling weeds, but it just tells me that winter is over I got stung by a bee yesterday, and that made me mad Who does that bee think he is, coming over to me and stinging me on the arm - it hurt!!!!! Oh well, I took some Benadryl and put some ice on it and the swelling didn't get to bad.


Idroveallnight - It sounds like you had a great ending to Spring Break. Isn't it great doing a Mommy & Daughter shopping day - I just love it!!! Stephanie always want to eat in the food court - I look forward to when she'll want to go somewhere like Olive Garden. Speaking of Olive Garden, is the Olive Garden by you always super crowded? The one by us is always a wait to get it - it's crazy!! You could open another one right next door to this one, and it will still be jammed!!! We don't go there that often because I don't want to wait anywhere with Katie - she has very little patience.

Tell Emily that I said I'm proud of her too for giving her hair to Locks of Love. Was her hair real long? She's going to look like a different person at school today. She's going to have her new clothes and her new hair-do That's awesome!!!!

Stephanie gets out of school June 6th and she gets out of CCD May 9th (that can't come soon enough ***don't tell anyone that I said that ).

OK - so we survived the first & second days back after Spring Break without major incident or meltdown!
I can't believe how close it is to our trip to Europe!! I may just have to figure out how to post pictures by then!

slo - how is soccer going? Emily goes back to cheer practice today - flyer class. She doesn't really want to fly, but since she has her tuck she will be on a higher level squad this year. James will have baseball practice Wed. They didn't practice at all during the break. Good for parents, probably not so good for the team!

Stephanie's soccer is going great!!! She loves it, and I love her loving it It's so much fun watching her learn something new and having fun doing it. I was really afraid that she wouldn't like it, but boy was I wrong. There's no arguing to get her to go to soccer

Good morning and TGIF!!!!

I'm not working anymore on Friday's because I got my hours cut at work. In fact, I have gotten my hours cut so much that I will not be making enough to have Katie and Stephanie in daycare together this summer. So my mom is watching the girls on Monday's and Thursday's and I'm only working those two days this summer. I'm a little bitter about this whole thing because I'm feeling like the sacrificial lamb at work - and I don't like it!!! Our store is so slow the last couple of years, but this year has been the worse. I don't mind taking a pay cut if all the mgmt is taking a paycut, but I have the very strong feeling that I'm the only one, and that's not right . So, I'm going to start Real Estate school in June and start thinking seriously of a career change. It will be hard and I'm a little nervous because I've been with the store since I was 16 years old in 1988, but I don't feel like the family that owns the store is caring about me as much as I would think they should. For a raise a couple of years ago I asked them for commission on my sales and they agreed to that. I have not gotten my commission now for 2 months - not right . I know if I ask them they will tell me they don't have the money, but I know they are finding the money to pay themselves their big paycheck . I feel they are making some really bad business decisions and the store is like a sinking ship - so sad!!

So, today I am getting my first Pedicure I have a gift certificate to the salon I used to get my hair cut at and I'm using it toward this Pedicure. I'm looking forward to it

It's going great - thank you for asking It's very time consuming having to go twice a week and then I have several excersises I have to do twice a day. But the symptoms are improving because I haven't felt the need to take a pill (Tylenol, Advil, Aleve) since Sunday morning. That's great for me because I normally take something every morning because I easily get tension headaches (usually starts when getting Stephanie out the door to catch the bus). I hope the improvements keep coming!!!

I can't believe evrything going on with your job! That is terrible! Maybe going into real estate would be the best thing for your family and this is God's way of helping you on that path! I will keep my fingers crossed for you and say a prayer for you! It's just so infuriating that they would behave that way! I'm sure it feels like such a betrayal after all those years! Keep me posted on the details!!

I got a new tag tonight - I'm so excited!!!! I was on the restaurants board earlier today and that's where it came from. How fun!!!

Thanks for the support for Real Estate school. I have so much support to do this, that it will help make things a little easier for me. Betrayal is a good way to describe this situation. It amazes me that they are doing things that could lose their best employee (I'm not trying to be conceited, I'm the only one besides them that knows how to do literally everything) instead of trying to have me stay with them. I love them and I'm trying to not take this to personally, but I can't help it. Thanks for the prayers, I'm going to need them. This new road in life makes me a little nervous, and I will absolulty keep you posted on all the details. Thank you my friend!!!!

I haven't been on here to post in forever but I do catch up on reading this thread almost every day so I can at least keep up on what's going on in everyone's lives.

We are just staying so busy with work, kids activities and spring stuff here! Seems like I haven't had any free time in forever.

Andrew and I are leaving Tuesday for his eighth grade trip to the NC outer banks. The closer I get to leaving the more nervous I am....what was I thinking volunteering to chaperone!!!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday and I'll try to get back on here more often!!

We miss you around here!!! But I understand about being busy - this is the busiest I have ever been in my life and I know that I will only get busier as Katie gets older and wants to get involved with activities.

How are the TLP gang? I haven't been there in a really long time - like you said, no time. When I sit down at the computer, 6:30am comes so fast and then that's it for the day. Tell everyone there that I said hi!!!

Good luck with volunteering Andrews class on Tuesday. How long will you be gone? What will you be doing at the NC outer banks?
