Good morning, slo! Cancel the carrier pigeons! Andrew's postcard arrived yesterday. He was so thrilled. He really tried to downplay his disappointment Saturday (since he's a big kid! ) but I could tell. And then yesterday the smile on his face was priceless. All the boys have their postcards taped to their bedroom doors now! Thanks again so much!!!!

I'm so glad that Andrew got his postcard and I am happy to report that I received your PM too. I so glad that the boys liked the postcards I sent them - it's fun to do things for people when you know they truly enjoy it!!

Hi Everyone! Hope you all have a great day!

Today is my birthday so DH is taking me out to lunch! DH has to work tonight so I think the boys and I will splurge and get Pizza!!! Mmmmm!

I got my early bd present from DH yesterday. He told me to call WDW and see if I could get us a room for the night before our vacation package starts! I made ressies for the Contemporary for 10/22. Then we'll switch over to the Polynesian! I can't wait. Only 23 days now instead of 24! We're going to keep the extra night a secret from the boys! They'll be so surprised!

Oh, yeah...one really nice thing about my bd present was that DH had "stashed" the money from it from his extra job and it's all paid for and I dont have to worry about it or feel guilty!

I am actually "trying" to get organized for our trip next month! (So hard for me to do, I'm just not an organized type of person!)

Anyway, I'm making my postcard list. Would any of you like for me to send postcards to your kiddos from characters? I figured I'd post here before I post on the "Pay It Forward" thread.

If you do, just PM me with your kids' names, your address, and favorite characters. If you have an upcoming trip planned just tell me when and I'll put something about that on the card!

slo ~ Thanks for the birthday wishes! I'm having a wonderful day so far. In addition to DH's surprise yesterday, DD called at 12:05 a.m. to wish me a happy birthday. She said she wanted to be the first this year!

And DH took A.J. to school for me. It's 30 miles round-trip so it's nice to get a break now and then.

I didn't realize that Hilary Duff and I shared a birthday! Hope she enjoyed hers as much as I did!

Yes, we have one DD. She'll be 20 next week. She's a junior at UNC-Charlotte, which is about three hours from here. She has her own apt. there and lives there year-round now. She's a criminal justice major and planning to become a lawyer. She's coming home Monday for the day to celebrate her bd with the family.

Hello everyone!! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days! All the teenagers haev returned to Mississippi. They are going to start school on Oct.3 and they will be able to play sports so they can still be considered for scholarships. They would much rather go to school at home! DH has worked nonstop for over 2 weeks. I think he has only been home 2 nights. Our DMAT teams went to Texas for Rita so the FD is working everyone OT to cover those spots. I miss him!


eeyoresmountainpals - Happy belated birthday! WHat a great suprise! Go DH!!! I would love for you to send my kids cards! I paid Gifts of a Lifetime to send cards before our last trip and they loved it! Emily loves princesses. Jasmine is her favorite, but any will do! James loves Stitch, but also is crazy about Mickey and Goofy. Sarah loves anything Disney! James and Emily will be coming over Mardi Gras. They were even willing to give up the parade they usually ride in to go to WDW! Sarah won't be with us on this trip but if the card said Roll Tide she would just die! She loves Alabama and has already been accepted! I will PM the address to you! I will certainly be glad to return the favor when we go!!

With the kids not going back to school until October 3rd what will that do to them getting out next spring? Do they lose any of Xmas or spring break? It's got to be rough, especially on the HS seniors!

She lives !! I had a wisdom toof taken out and in the "it could only happen to me catagory" It grew in over the facial nerve for the lower part of my right hand side . I have been down and out for a couple of days it really hurt !


I will be there the same time as Eeyoersmountianpals ! I will be accross the lake from you at the WL .

I live right outside Dallas about 30 min from Ohanna and RRBB . We will be missing them by I think 2 days though . I will be meeting the famous RickINNYC again but this time we are all staying in the same hotel .

If anyone wants anything while I am there let me know I will send post cards.

Good morning everyone It's cold in my house this morning - 62 degrees It's time for me to break out my heavy robe!!!

Mad4Mickey - OUCH!!!! I had 5, yes I said 5, wisdom teeth taken out at the same time when I a teenager and I remember how bad that hurt. Are all your wisdom teeth out now? I'm glad you are feeling better now!!
So you are staying at The WL - didn't you stay there last year? We would like to stay there sometime - would you mind taking some pictures of dfferent areas of the hotel, including your room, so we can see if we would like to stay there someday. Also, how often do those shuttle boats come to take you to the MK? Do you ever have to wait real long? I would love to hear all about this hotel.

eeyoresmountainpals - thank for telling me about your DD, sounds like she is doing well and Happy Birthday to her on Monday!! Also, I'm glad you had a really nice birthday - did you and your boys order pizza like you were planning? I just love pizza - I could eat pizza everyday of the week as long as it was a different kind of pizza from a different place - I just love it!!!

Idroveallnight - I'm sorry your DH hasn't been home much - it really does make you feel alone - I hope he will be home soon and until then, you can come be with us With the teenagers gone, I bet your house is really quite - is this a good thing or a bad thing??? YOu take care!!

The schools in MS will lose a bunch of holidays and probably go on Saturdays! - Uggghhhhh My house still has plenty of noise with my three & all of their friends! I know my husband misses the guys because they were working for him! He has a yard business on the side!

I wouls love 62 degrees! We are still bright and ! There is a cold front now so I think it will only be 88 today! It's a start!!

Has anyone been to the Christmas party at WDW? I am off for a few days around Christmas and would love to zip down for that. We have never been! I just wonder of it's worth it??

yes I stayed there last year and the year before and the year before LOL I like it there . I love the Concierge staff they all know me and remember me and the things I like before I even tell them .

I have a ton of pics but I dont think I have any of the room but I will take some this time for you . I will Email you pics of the hotel though in the next couple of days .

Good morning ladies and Happy Saturday!!!
It's going to be a beautiful day today in the Chicago area and we are going to be outside working in the yard all day - we have a pool to close and flowers to pull out - summer is definitly over!!!!

Last night we went to the Disney Store and bought the girls their Halloween costumes. Stephanie is going to be Minnie Mouse and Katie is going to be Jo Jo - they are going to be so cute!!!!

Mad4Mickey - The concierge is really good there?! - that is good to know!!! The Contemporary concierge was a bit of a joke this year (long story) and I spoke to the General Manager of the hotel the other day about it (even longer story, ohanafamily has been a great friend with helping me through all this) and she said they are in the process of improving their service. I can hardly wait to see the pictures you take because we may really want to stay their someday.

Idroveallnight - I personally have never been to WDW during any Christmas celebrations, but I know someone that has (their DD is a cast member their) and she said that WDW is very very crowded at X-mas. If you should decide to go, I would be very curious to see what your opinion is.
