How is Easter compared to July 4th--crowd wise, that is!! We are going this July (it will be our 2nd time in the summer) but have never been at Easter. Have APs and would like to get in one more trip!! Cant take the kids out of school-both are in middle school. Thanks, Sue

I've never toured during either of those time frames, so I'm just going to bump this back to page one so that some of our veterans can offer advice.

We just got back (we were there the week before Easter) and it was CROWDED!!! But, really, if you stay on site and utilize the early entry mornings, you can see and do a lot before it gets too bad. I was actually pleasantly surprised with how much we did before it got unbearable. We like to park hop, so we would switch in the afternoon or go back to the hotel for a while. The worst park (crowd-wise) was definitely MK. One piece of advice - if you have any intention of going on Test Track without waiting 2 hours (or more), get to Epcot when they open and grab a FastPass. They seem to disappear extremely quickly!!

Sorry I can't help with July 4th... Never been there at that time. :confused3

We just got back--MK was really crowded the entire time (except for Monday 3/28), AK and MGM were tolerable, and EPCOT wasn't bad at all. We still got to do pretty much everything we wanted, though, even without using the EMH...

To actually answer your question.

Easter is quite a bit more crowed than 4th of july, speaking in terms of the entire week.

actual 4th of july vs easter sunday = wash

We were there from 3-23 thru 3-29. I guess I was expecting it to be shoulder to shoulder based on the info on this site but was pleasantly surprised that it wasnt as crowded as I expected. Granted I hear others that were there the same time I was saying it was crowded. I guess it just depneds on your expectations. Now the last day 3-29 it was packed at MK. We did get up early most days and leave midday and come back so maybe that was it or maybe we just were at the right park at the right time - who knows but our choice was either Easter or 4th of July and we figured it would be crowded either time and at least at Easter it wouldnt be as hot. Enjoy your stay.

We were at Magic Kingdom on Monday. We arrived at 7am. Here's what we accomplished...

Pooh
Buzz (rode and got fastpass)
Got a few character pictures (Alice in Wonderland characters)
Snow White
Peter Pan
Splash Mountain
Thunder Mountain (5 minute wait)
Haunted Mansion
Cinderella's Carousel
Philharmagic
Buzz again (using fastpass)
Carrousel of Progress
Tiki Room
11:30 lunch at Liberty Tree
left to swim and rest

It was busy very crowded after lunch...but our morning touring was very laid back. We accomplished A LOT before lunch with no waits and no rushing.

Given a choice, I'd definately go off season...but I think Easter at Disney can be done without going crazy. It just takes a little more planning and you have to deal with a little less flexibility.
