I didn't know where else to post this thread. I'm trying to find new creative ways to store and display my pin collection. I have one lanyard which I was afraid I would lose my pins on and I have one of those pin books. That is going to eventually fill up. So I'm curious, how do you guys display your pins?

Do you want them to be mobile so you can take them trading in the parks or just for displaying at home?

For home display, the best way I've seen is just a big cork board to stick on the wall and stick them in. Easy to rearrange and grab to load up a lanyard.

Yes I just have a huge piece of black foam board. Works great!

We really only collect pins from special events, tours, etc. we do each trip. I have them displayed in shadow boxes with brightly colored cardstock behind them and a coordinating Mickey head cutout displaying the year they are from.

Thank you for moving it and thanks for the answers! But I have another question, if you use a cork board to display them, can you still put the back of the pin on them? Do the pins go all the way through? Weird question I know.

We use a cork board and the backs are in a mason jar in a kitchen cabinet.

(Yes, instead of a junk drawer we had to move up to a junk cabinet.)

Is there a place that sells pin book f o store pins in? I rearly see them on disney store.com that don't have years on them.

I crafted frames for them. if i can figure out how to upload the images you will see them

I have a few of them in small pin albums I got from the Disney Movie Club and I have a great deal of them displayed in shadowboxes.

You can purchase them at laughingplace.com.

You might also look at Sweet's Collectibles on Facebook. His prices are very good and he is legit. He also has an ebay store.

For home display, I bought 16X20 paint canvas from Joann Fabrics.

Then I bought a fabric that I liked and goes with the room I hung it in. I stapled the fabric to the canvas, put gold scrapbooking letters on the top that say Disney World that I also bought at JoAnn Fabrics.

My pins fit nicely on it with their pin backs. I've hung the canvas on the walls and can rearrange the pins whenever I want.

I was going to post a picture from my photobucket account but it's changed so I need to go thru it before I can do any posting.

My wife made these for me to display my DCL collection.
I purchased curtain rods and display them in an extra room. :3dglasses

These are nice! How did she make them?

She uses a heavy weight white ( cotton I believe ) puts stabilizer in between two pieces, and tacks that. Then sews the piping around the sides and adds the loops last. The logo is an iron on ( besides the design that is my contribution to helping - ironing on the logo) :3dglasses

Depending on the depth of your coark board, they shouldn't go all the way through so they come out the other side. My pin backs are in a box so when I do go back to WDW I can take the ones off my board I'm willing to trade and take them on my laynard. I often find myself staring at my pin board and remembering things about individual pins or noticing new details about some. It's a great way to display your collection and it only takes up some room on the wall.
