Calling all Chicago DISers #3

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: What a beautiful day today is going to be. :banana:I heard it's supposed to get up to 71 today and 84 tomorrow:banana: I'm very excited about this! I only use the dancing banana for REALLY exciting things these days!

Bunchy ~ so sorry to hear you are moving. :grouphug: hope you still come around the thread and keep us updated on things!

Slo ~ hope you enjoy the sunny day! i love it! i have not heard back from the consultant yet. I'm gonna give her a call today.

Tigg ~ I think I'm going to be very pleased with the tangerine as well! I think it will be perfect for Florida!

nd5056 ~ glad i could make you smile! :goodvibes

everyone else ~ :wave2: have a bright... bright... bright... bright sunshining day! (yes...I randomly break out in song)

DG ~ How exciting! I hope you guys love your consultant.

Slo ~ Kevin will be required to do community service as a part of his Civics class that all juniors must take. Starting with next year's Freshman class, they will also be required to do another 40 hours (I think it is 40 for both, either that or it is 20 for both) in order to graduate. For Kevin however, he is required to do so many service activities that ROTC does. There is not really a set amount of hours though.
** I see the specialist next Tuesday. I talked to his nurse yesterday and I am #2 on the list for cancellations. The list is made based on case urgency, so that makes me feel better, I think. (not sure how to take that I am #2 on a list that cuts off at 20. I am doing my best not to read too much into it though)

Bunchkin ~ I am sorry to see that your MIL is not doing any better. Sadder still is that there is no good prognosis.

I hope everyone enjoys the nice weather we have coming!

This is a quickie post because I didn't allow myself much time. I didn't fall asleep fast last night, and by the time I dozed off, that storm woke up Katie. She ended up in my bed, and I ended up with no sleep. That child is the biggest bed hog ever!!! I used to say that about Steph, but Katie is much worse!!!!! So, finally at 4:30am I couldn't take it anymore, so I carried her to her own bed. But Kevin had to leave really early today, so he was waking up at 5am. I did doze off after he woke up, but the alarm was ringing at 6am for me to get up. I did snooze it more than normal, because I'm so darn tired. So basically, I didn't get any real sleep last night - just cat naps :faint:

So, to everyone, hello :wave2: I love ya!!! Now I gotta run!!!

Have a good day everyone!!!

Morning. Been MIA lately with these last few weeks of school. Almost done! I can see the light!
ID and Bunchkin- DD tries to stay in the shower soooo long! Then, when I knock on the door, she always acts like she has no idea why I might be knocking!
Bunchkin- Sorry to hear about dh's family and you moving.
Slo- DD is dangerous to sleep with. She flops violently and talks in her sleep!
Dgal- Love printers. I had to copy tons of stuff for a lesson and used dh's owrk printer. I swear, the minute he left the room it went crazy! Paper jams galore!
Tig- Thanks for the movie report. I was going to ask about it. I have to take dd to see the Hannah Montana movie first, tho.
Piglet- How are your health issues? Everything going okay for now?

Today I teach a lesson all by myself! My partner and I have been coteaching all week, but I am a solo flier (Goofy's Barnstormer) today. She's at an interview! It will be cool though. I've got the hang of it now!
Then, I have to do some major paper writing this weekend! Have a great day! Looks beautiful already!

Some news I've been waiting to share with you all......
We are moving out by the in-laws in early June. Mother in-law is not well at all. The doctor's think that these infections she keeps getting will kill her before the cancer even does. Not a nice thing to hear from the Dr. :sad2:
And they definitly need the help out there.
On a lighter note, DS gets to spend his b-day in Disneyland this year.
We're hoping to actually come back to the Chicago area before DD enters high school.
I'll miss all of you and seeing you all at meets!! :grouphug: But I'm sure I'll still come and hang out here! :goodvibes Once a Chicagoan, always a Chicagoan!! :yay:

.

Hope things work out for MIL and maybe you will like the smaller town..:grouphug: we will miss you but can still see ya on the internet..let us know the details..

Moring..

I am gonna clean a bit and then enjoy this beautiful day..

SLO - be careful today.. no sleep effects a lot of things.. so take it easy.. can you fit in a nap????

Piglet - Geoff's Boy scout related projects don't count for his graduation - like working 10 hours on an Eagle project of a friend - so he has to do 20 hours per semester for his commuity service on top of his NHS and his boy scout stuff.. but they were very nice to him at Meals on Wheels he worked 3 hours yesterday and 6 hours on Wednesday.. he has 9 hours in there, so only 1 left for his quota this semester..
good luck with the specialist..

DG ~ How exciting to finally here form the consultant.. I hope you guys love your consultant.

paintnolish - good luck wth teaching the lesson today..

Hi guys! T.G.I.F. and it's going to be a beautiful day too! Just a quick drive by this morning. I'm meeting a friend at 9a and we're going walking. Meeting a few old friends tonight so that should be good for a few laughs. Working at Market Day tomorrow and NOTHING on Sunday so looking forward to some lazy time.

Bunchkin - sorry to hear about your move and your MIL. I hope things go well for you out there. Where is there by the way?

slo - I hate those kinds of sleep nights, thankfully DD7 didn't take refuge from the storm in our room. She usually does and I couldn't believe she didn't last night.

paint - good luck with the solo teaching today! LOL about the shower, my DD is always like "Whaat?" when I knock. :rotfl:

disneygal - how's everything going with the consultant. I think the color for your dresses sounds absolutely lovely, perfect for Florida.

Tiggerrn - good luck with the projects. DD12 is now in 6th grade and seems to be much more independent this year, last year though she needed more help.

piglet - how are things going? I hope all goes well with the specialist. :wizard:

Well, have to run. Need to eat breakfast and get dressed for my walk. Enjoy this great day everyone!! :yay:

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: what a gorgeous day it is! Too bad i'm stuck inside at work all day. i think i may need to go get some frozen yogurt at lunchtime! :goodvibes

Evening all. Missed the gorgeous day today.:sad1: Indoors at work all day. I sure hope tomorrow is still a nice one. DS has his first baseball game of the season. Don't you just love little boys and baseball. It's a laugh a minute!:lmao:
I really wanted to keep my eyes closed this morning when the alarm went off. You see, first I was at WL waiting for a friend to arrive and then we transferred over to the AKL where we lounged poolside with a tropical drink in hand (the kind with the little umbrella!). Who ever wants to wake up from that?!!!! Man, I have got it BAD!!!
Hope you all enjoyed the gorgeous day and were wonderfully productive. Hi to all. I am just home and need to check backpacks and such yet. So, sorry not replying to individuals tonight. I'll check in tomorrow again.

Well, you all are still going strong here!!!!!!!

Tomorrow we go to the Harry Potter exhibit I am so excited.:woohoo:

Donna Any new news on your sons school? How are you and Mark doing?

Please tell me I'm not the only one that has to work today.
I don't want to be the only one missing a nice day.

paint - How did you do with your solo teaching?

geffric - No naps for me:sad2: I did make sure I didn't use the saw yesterday, because I was really tired. Now I have to make up for my noncutting today

ID - I hope you had fun with your friends last night :cool1:

DG - Were you able to get out for your frozen yogary?

TTTTTTTTiiiiiigggggggggernnnnnnnnnnn - Good luck to Kyle with his first game:wizard:

HERSEY - I hope the rain stays away long enough to get your work done.

Well, I must get ready for work - Boo!!!!!
Have a good day!!!

Happy Saturday Everyone! :flower3: I'm going to get my hair cut and colored today. Not sure yet what exactly i'm going to change it too but I'll post a pic later! :goodvibes

Slo ~ I did get out for my fro yo yesterday afternoon. I was going to wait until my co-worker got back from lunch but my boss said I didn't need to wait and she'd hold down the fort! I went to Yogen Fruz. It's amazingly delicious! Don't worry about missing a nice day. It's raining here right now. Thunder and all!

ID ~ things are going well thus far. my project for today is to get the majority of the guest list addresses in the spreadsheet for the save the dates and start on the room block! Wahoo!!!:cool1:

Paint ~ Hope the end of the semester goes well for you!

Everyone else ~ :wave2: hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

paintnolish~ :rotfl2: No it was not you.LOL
After having the third baby it was hard for me to get used to 3 kids. It took me a year to get the hang of things.

HERSEY~We are doing great. I know, the kids got big fast. LOL
I dont want my babies to grow too fast!:confused3 LOL

Slo~ I am great! We moved down to Florida about a year and a half ago.
I love it but I think what I have not like the most is hurricane season!!!!!!!!!!
It totally:scared1: freaked me out last year and that was not the worst it could be. LOL
I hope to god it is calm this year!!!!!!!!

Evening once again.
Hi Aces. Nice to hear from you again. So exactly how close to the mouse's house did you get?
Slo, guess you didn't miss the nicest day after all. I think that would have been yesterday. So you didn't miss it alone.;)
DS was on the winning team today! :woohoo: He had a nice hit and made a nice play at shortstop. But I have to say, overall, this poor coach is probably not going to have the winningest (is that a word?) of seasons. :rolleyes1The boys on this team are all fairly new to the game and small.
Paint, how did your alone day of teaching go?
DG, how'd the haircut turn out? Waiting for that pic.
geffric and ID, did you get to enjoy the day?
Hersey, you get that yard cleaned up between the drips and drops?
Just so you all know, I went into the grocery store at 5:30. Van said 71 degrees. I came out of the grocery store at 6:05, van said 54 degrees.:scared1:I was a bit chilly coming out of that store in my shorts and flip flops.:lmao:
Have a great day tomorrow all.:)

Tiiiiiig Yardwork never got done it rained more than not. We had thunderstorms most of the day. I decided inside stuff was more instore. Glad your sons game got in.:cheer2:for the hit and play at short:thumbsup2

Slo Hopefully the weather didn't chase away the customers but rather kept them in your store to order more stuff

I hope everyone is staying dry. Off to get ready for Harry Potter we leave early. I wonder if it is really going to get as they say 80's:rolleyes1 the humidity was nasty yesterday today would be worse.

It's quiet here this morning. My BFF and I took our girls to see The Hannah Montana movie last night, and then she took my girls back to her house to spend the night. This is two Sunday mornings in a row that I don't have my kids here - it's weird!!!!:upsidedow

So, what is everyone doing around today?
I have to go to work for awhile and catch up on some things, and I then I have some things to do around the house. I have a little laundry going right now - I thought I would get an early start!!!:laundy:

A review of The Hannah Montana movie is........I really enjoyed it!!!! I give it 2 thumbs up :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 The story line was great, the message in the story was great, the music was good, and the humor was good (I laughed out loud more than once). I recommend it - very good!!!!

DG - I"m glad you were able to get out Friday - it was a nice day!!! :sunny:

aces - Hurricane season would freak me out too!!!!:scared1:Where in Florida do you live - north, south, middle, or ocean side?

TTTiiiggernn - Yep, yesterday wasn't a very nice day :sad2: I hope today is nicer, even though I'm not home much today either:rolleyes:
**Congrats to Kyle and his team!!!!:cheer2:

HERSEY - Have fun today!! Please give us a review when you get home.

Well, I'm off to get ready for my day
Have a good Sunday everyone!!
