I'll pm ya..

Well Today I have a dog and a cat to sit for.. so besides going grocery shopping and all, I'll be busy..

Eric left for the weekend with friends, Geoff is home and going to hang out with a friend, then he and the friend ( girl) wil be back here for dinner - they are okay with fish on the grill.. so I'll go to Costco and see what is available..

Also, I am NOW driving Eric plus many frinds to the music place in Tinley PArk next week to see Blink 182.. anyone know any good restuarants for me and DH and then we'll do a movie before picking them up at 11ish..
what makes me angry about this is all along he has said we don't have to drive.. and where are the other parents?? 7 kids have tickets?? why do we always drive???

Happy Saturday Everyone! :flower3: So we are officially booked at the Contemporary! WOOHOO!:woohoo: I'm so excited! Glad to have that done. Also, I can check setting up registries off my list. We registered at Carsons, Bed bath and beyond and did a disney honeymoon registry. I set them all up online so we will need to make a trip to the store to see some things in person, like bathroom stuff and bedding! OH, it's so exciting for me!

Slo ~ congrats on passing MAC101 :thumbsup2 she has taught you well!

Bunchy ~ 50 mph winds?? yikes!:scared1: I don't know if I would survive a dust storm though. I have pretty annoying allergies and would probably sneeze my way to the hospital or something... LOL!

Tigg ~ thanks for the "deluxe this time' warning. i know it will be hard to get back to reality but i'm so looking forward to it!

Paint ~ I'll PM you!

Geffric ~ sorry you are stuck driving all of them. Not sure what you guys are looking to spend for dinner but seeing as I live in TP I can give you a whole list of options of places around the venue.
Tin Fish - seafood - never been but have heard good things. pricey i think.
Hamada - habaci japanese - yummmmmmm. standard habaci prices
Cracker Barrel - good breakfast food - never been for dinner
Luby's - I think it's Italian. never been but have heard really nice things.
Frankie's Restaurante - Italian - OMG fabulous but pricey. Mike and I could spend $80 there but that is with a bottle of wine too. This is one of our favorite places to eat on special occasions!
Gatto's - Italian - very good. Similar prices to an Olive Garden!
hmmm I'll keep thinking. ;)

everyone else ~ :wave2: have a wonderful weekend

Hi guys! Happy Saturday everyone!! Well, we turned the air on in anticipation of the heat wave. Yesterday was DSs b-day, he's 9!! :scared1: Where does the time go. We went to Portillos for dinner (his choice) and then two of my sis came over for cake and presents. He told me going to be it was his best birthday ever!

Nothing big planned for the weekend, hoping we don't have to be outside too much!

disneygal - congrats on getting everything booked and registries set up. It's so fun picking out all that stuff!

geffric - have fun pet sitting! What a bummer you have to do the drive for the concert. Hope you and DH have a nice dinner/movie though.

slo - hope you have a good day at work!

paint - enjoy the peace and quiet! See you on FB!

Bunchkin - yikes on the wind storm, hope all is better today.
*My kids are sleepers too, usually 8-9a too. Not looking forward to the 6:30a alarm once school starts. Been trying to get them to bed earlier but will have to do so in earnest starting next week so it won't be a complete mightmare.

:wave2: to everyone else!

Have to run and pick up DD12 from gymnastics. Have a great Saturday everyone! :flower3:

Congrats ..the contempary should be wonderful..

Thanks for the resturant list.. looks like DH will have plenty to chose from.. although he is never interested in spending lots of money and since I am not working we look for more economical choices..

Bunchy -= I am not sure I could live there.. too hot and whoa that wind is strong..

Happy Weekend gang!!

Another Facebooker here , like paint mentioned!!! Anyone interested can PM me their name!

DH is at his dad's house right now. Some things are still a struggle with dealing with his dad. He still thinks he's running off to Chicago next month! :headache: Sister in-law put the idea in his head that Sept would be when he should go. Considering she's not here to take care of him and his finances, I wish she would have kept her trap shut!! Grrr!!

Going to a new pizza place this afternoon for dinner. Supposed to be yummy!
Than over to the outlet mall that's south of the Strip to hit the Disney outlet store. They usually have some great stuff there.
Anyone interested in something particular could let me know and I'll keep an eye out....pins/collectibles/clothes/etc.

Weather for yesterday and today is just beautiful. Winds calmed down and the temps cooled!

geffric Talk to your son who keeps volunteering you to drive! :thumbsup2
There are several yummy places in Tinley around and on Oak Park Ave. And on 183rd street there are fast food places too. You could always go to Orland Park to eat since you'll have time to spare. You could also go to the movies, there's a theatre on LaGrange, Marcus, and several restaurants surrounding it to the north and south.

slo Hope you get your pool time tomorrow!!

irish dancer I've been trying, here and there, to get the kids into bed earlier too. As of Sunday they will be for sure. DD has an orientation camp first thing on Thurs for all the 6th graders entering their middle school, so she'll need to be up early for that.

disneygal We've all been dealing with issues from allergies and sinus headaches, but nothing too bad!

Gotta run, leaving soon for the outlet store!

Congrats ..the contempary should be wonderful..

Bunchy -= I am not sure I could live there.. too hot and whoa that wind is strong..

Thanks. A few more economical places around that area are
Culvers
Buffalo Wild Wings
Pops - really good broasted chicken
G-in - sushi. mike and i don't eat sushi but my friends all really like this place
Baker's Square, Chili's, Outback, Panera and Famous Dave's are about 10 minutes down Harlem too. :)

geffric - take a look at restaurant.com. Search the Tinley area and see if they have anything you'd like. If you use the code "PORTION" you'll get 80% off the already discounted price (i.e. $25 cert for only $2)! Some of the certificates have restrictions so be sure to read them. We've used certificates from here before with no problem. Many on the Budget Board get them for Orlando area restaurants too for while they're at WDW.

Hi, all. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. We had a nice day...went up to Lisle to visit a friend of dh's and go to Cheeseburger in Paradise. I was good, though, and I only ate a salad and skipped the mixed drink.
Then, dd and I were shopping for BTS stuff when I got a call from a coworker. Another one of our coworkers died in an accident last night. It is such a terrible tragedy...nice, funny, hardworking guy, good brother (had lots of siblings),he'd walk me to my car after my shift (even when he wasn't leaving) plus my dd always thought he was cute. Horrible. I just worked with him Friday. Anyway, thoughts, prayers, whatever, please.

Busy day here!! Now I'm too pooped to pop! :faint:

paint So sorry to hear your sad news.

It sure was warm this weekend. Good thing for air conditioning.:thumbsup2

What an awesome day yesterday!!! :sunny:
I was floating in my pool from noon until 4:30pm, and then I still stayed in the pool and played with the kids for awhile. My neighbor came over late in the afternoon with her kids, and we spent some time with them. We ended up coming inside at around 6:45pm - it was a great great great day!!!!:cool1:

Mac - Thanks for the lisitings!!!!:)

paint - How sad about your coworker :guilty:Many prayers for his family, and for all those that worked with him
