Hey Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for the past week. My dad was in the hospital, tomorrow is our bowling fundraiser for the Avon Walk, our room block info came and we should have our contract soon! Let's see what else, I can't even seem to think right now but I've been quite the busy bee and haven't had too much time to post. BUT I've been reading when I can.

Slo ~ hope Sophie gets better soon.

Paint ~ Congrats on taking your last final. Glad it was easy!

ID ~ when dad is feeling up to it, I'd like to take him to see the new Star Trek movie. Let us know what DH thinks of it.

Mac ~ sorry you had to go back to work. don't let it wear you too thin.

Bunchy ~ good luck with packing and everything. Sorry to hear DH's mom is sick again. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Speaking of Stephanie's school..........
One of the elementary schools in her district has 2 confirmed cases of the swine flu (this school is in our town). They are keeping the school open, and have totally disinfected it last night. So, the swine flu is on my doorstep I wasn't nervous about it until now - we don't have time to be dealing with swine flu right now Hopefully no one else in the schools will get it {{fingers crossed}}

ID - How did your DH like the movie?
Do you get good $$ from Once Upon a Child? I have tons and tons of clothes for my garage sale, but I'm wondering if I would get more money from that store? Should I take my stuff there first, and then what they don't want, sell in the garage sale?

DG - Why was your dad in the hospital? Is he okay? I'll send some PD his way

One month from today we will be in Epcot-CR for dinner! I need to call and order a cake for dd's bday. What are your plans looking like? We have ADRs for dinner at the parks with EMH...we'll go someplace else, then head over for ADRs and enjoy the late hours of rides!

I took my last final yesterday and it was easy! It was a fill in the blanks thing with answer key. Now I can relax. I work all weekend, which will only ge great when I count my money Sunday evening (a penny earned is penny for WDW). It is college grad. and mom's day weekend...busiest weekend of the year. I should be exhausted!

Glad your final was easy.. have a great weekend. It sounds like you will be busy.. Where are your ADRs again??

Hi everyone!

slo -- we have no confirmed cases of the swine flu near here but they are making anyone who even remotely has symptoms (even if it's confirmed it's NOT the flu) stay home for 7 days. DD is having to fill in for one-act performance tonight due to this. One of the performers although feeling fine now, isn't allowed to come to school. We found this out on Wednesday! Talk about DD going into a panic! She didn't have the lines memorized and the first show is tonight.

Slo and Geffric ~ Thanks for your concern and PD. He's home now but is on a pretty strict diet. They think he had a kinked small intestine but aren't positive. I figure as long as he's better, whatever. Sunday night my sister and I had to call an ambulance b/c he was laying on the floor shaking in pain. Said it was right in the middle. So yeah, he did a 4 day stint in the hospital but he's home now and feeling much better for the most part!

Slo ~ sending lots of pd, thoughts and prayers that no one else around you gets the new flu.

Slo ~ I have heard that you get a better sales from garage sales then the resale shops. It all depends on how much your shoppers want to bargain with you. (OK, that is not the word I want. I want to say where you will go back and forth over the price to get to the final dollar amount.)

Good morning all!

What happened to our sun? The wind woke me up this morning. I had our gutters cleaned out yesterday. That is my most unfavorite job, best money I ever paid.

It looks like this will be a good inside kind of day. My house kind of looks like a train wreck.

Slo No flu here but in our district they closed 2 schools but not Alex's. He brings a small bottle of hand sanitizer with him and uses that. The teachers all have it in their classrooms. I am not too worried about it I just want to be cautious but not goofy.

DG Glad your dad is doing better. Make sure he follows up with his doctor.

Ok I better get moving before I get more lazy.

Morning all. Thank goodness week one of computer training is over! People at work are not happy!And I hate being their sounding board. I am trying not to take things personally. But they waste so much time complaining that it is really cutting into my teaching time. We only get one more week to teach and then people will be on their own so I just wish they would be quiet and listen and complain later.
Slo, I would definately sell at the garage sale first. Last fall I took in Kyle's clothes and the kids' halloween costumes from years over. I had all Disney costumes with accessories for Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, Ariel, Belle, Mickey (24mos size), Buzz, Red Power Ranger, and a Thomas costume. All I got for that and they took Kyle's Columbia winter coat, 2 pairs of nice Levis was $45. So I really think you would do better trying it on your own and bring them your leftovers. When's the sale?
DG, glad to hear your dad is home from the hospital and doing OK. HOpe all goes well from here.
Mac, hope you are taking it easy on the weekend and not overdoing it at work.

To those that asked, DH liked the Star Trek movie well enough. He wasn't crazy about it but thought it was OK.

Nothing really new around here although we did get our tax bill . They were already obscenely high and they went up $400.

Tiggerrn - hope the last week of training goes better or at least quickly so you don't have to listen to the complaining any more.

Hersey - I know what you mean about the house, mine too looks like a train wreck. It seems like a constant battle to keep it straightened.

disneygal - glad to hear your dad is home, I hope he continues to improve.

slo - I agree with the others, take your clothes to OUAC after your garage sale. They've paid OK but I'm sure I could have gotten more for some of them but I didn't have much luck with my garage sale last year so I just decided to bag it up and take it to them rather than just giving it away. Some of the time I cannot understand why they reject things either.

I forgot did I tell you all DD got nominated to be an Ambassador for her school for next year? She doesn't think it's any big deal but I think it's pretty cool. It's only open to Sophmores - Seniors and they have to be nominated by a teacher. We are supposed to be getting something about it in the mail.

Friday & Saturday DD performed in One Acts at the HS...she was a last minute replacement so found out on Wed. that she was performing. She was just being the Director Assistant, so had to make sure her lines were memorized and figure out a costume with very short notice.

This is a super quickie because I have company coming over soon, and I'm still in my pj's (I just can't get motiviated).

Sorry I haven't been on lately - I've been trying to get my profile up and running on LinkedIN. Now it is officially done, and I have another things to keep up with I'm hoping the LinkedIn will help me connect with other business owners and generate more business for me {{fingers crossed}}

I gotta run and now curl Katie's hair. She's in tears because Stephanie slept in rollers last night, and now her hair is curly, and Katie's hair is not - oh the drama!!!

The party was fun - I drank WAY too much but it's ok once in a while right? Kim you are definately the Disney pro, I'm just learning. I am a little freaked out cause Randy's cousin and his wife have left me in charge of planning and I don't think I like that.
