Here are my boys in the airport!!
Notice the stickers on Gabriels back, put there by his loving sister!!

Alright, we are in Animal Kingdom and having a blast with Autumn in her Pocohantas dress.

Everyone is commenting on how great she looks, but one CM tells her to hurry and get on the train to conservation station because she can SEE Pocahantas!!!! So off we go and Autumn is super excited!!

We get there and the lady at the TRain Station tells us we have about 15 minutes before Pocohantas goes away for THE DAY!

So we are running like mad men, which is NOT very fast considering we have a stroller, a walking 2 year old and a baby in one of those Bjorn carriers flopping about! hahaha!!

We get inside Conservation Station...to find...Pocohantas has left for the day :(

Autumn was bummed and we felf awful for not knowing about her being there and getting there earlier.

I get tapped on the shoulder suddenly and it's the CM with Rafiki!!!

She says..

Rafiki has to go back to the forest to get something to drink would you like to come with?!

We were like...ummm...okay....

We follow her and then she tells us to stop and takes Rafiki inside...

Then she comes out and has us follow her outside...by now we are totally confused. She takes Autumns hand and walks ahead of us down this path that says:

CAST MEMBERS ONLY

Then I see Autumn break free and run....

It's POCOHANTAS!!! Once she heard that there was a little girl in a dress like hers she had to meet her!!>!? It was the best 10 minutes of the whole trip. She posed for photos, did Autographs and Autumn got those special YOAMD pins from the CM. It was really great!

Ok, where are my tissues?!? It is stories like that, that make me love Disney.

I know right?! I was totally crying my eyes out! And that's not even the first time I cried in Animal Kingdom that day!!

Earlier, we were by Expedition and in the water, the transport boat had Mickey and Minnie in it and they were waving to EVERYONE on the shore. Sal had Autumn in his arms and she was waving and she was smiling so big then she said:

Oh Mom....Look...Bicka (that's what she calls Mickey) Sees ME! He sees ME!! And she was squirming with so much excitement, thinking that that mouse was waving just at her. I am tearing up just thinking of that moment!~

My DL story.

We took Kevin right before his third birthday to Disneyland. It was our second day there and we still had not seen Mickey, they only guy Kevin really wanted to meet. That evening when we returned to the park we saw him taking pictures with other kids. We tried to hurry over to where he was but they were already leaving when we got up there. Kevin started to cry and I asked if they could please, just wait one more minute. At first the handler said "no" but Mickey tapped her arm, knelt down and opened his arms for Kevin. Even Dewain teared up at that. Kevin talked about it non-stop for about 20 minutes after that. Sadly, we did not get a picture because we had left the camera at the hotel.

Did I tell how much I love Disney for stuff like this?

Wow, DMM and piglet - I just love stories like those. It is what makes WDW so special.....

:surfweb:

DMM - That is such a wonderful story!!!! I am so glad that Autumn was able to meet Pohochontas (sp?) - I bet your pictures of them together are precious:goodvibes
*I love that picture of Roman!!!! :goodvibes

Tiggggernnn - I'm the same way about sorting and putting away socks and underwear. I've made my family "go fish" several times when they need something out of the basket

Bunchkin - Congrats to Hunter on loosing his teeth:cheer2: . I often wonder when Katie is going to start loosing her teeth, because Stephanie was 4 1/2 when she lost her first 2 teeth.
**Thanks for those different Beer Bread ideas:) Stephanie doesn't love it either when it's made with beer, so this might be great for her :thumbsup2

Becky & Mac & Disneygal & Joe & Leigh & irish dancer - :wave2:

we love all dis-ers and know you will fit in with us fine.

come back real soon and get to know us

Still alive but barely! It has been midterms, but after this morning's class, I will be on break! Not that I will get a break, mind you. I have to work and get caught up on school stuff.
DMM- That story is so sweet! I was having a serios Disney depression yesterday and that story made it worse!:sad1:
Slo- this is from a while ago, but that bill for your store does seem way too high. Let's just hope for warm weather. Can't afford much more cold!
Bunchkin- DD,6, lost her first tooth a few weeks ago. She now has three other loose ones! She is going to look like a jackolantern by the time the wedding rolls around!
New Peeps! Hi!
I'll be around lots over the next week. All that time I will spend on the pc doing homework...well, it is all too tempting to check the DIS. You know how it is!
TGIF!

Awww Paint sorry about that! I am still in Disney Depression. It's really odd this time around how bad it is. I am so ready to pack up my bags and move there ::yes::

DMM- JK! Those are the kind of stories that make Disney what it is!:) Like when dd saw Tink come down from the castle during Wishes- She gasped and said- Oh! SHe's real! She's really REAL! Those kind of stories give me goosebumps. It is so wonderful for them!

Morning all! Still  but oh well, figure I am in for the long haul.

Welcome froggygrrrl! :)

I too am one who has no problem washing and drying clothes, but then they get thrown into clean laundry baskets and only get folded if I convince Dewain or Kevin to do it for me. My arms hurt too much from all the folding, so I avoid it at all costs.

Lauren has a loose tooth too. She is real excited and keeps talking about the Tooth Fairy coming to visit.

Howdy!!

:welcome: to all the newbies on the thread!
There's been a lot this past week or so!

So what do you all put your kid's loose teeth in when they come out?

DD has this little box that is for loose teeth. It came with a Tooth Fairy Barbie doll we got her a long time ago before she ever lost her 1st tooth. It's funny that she still uses the box even though she no longer plays with Barbie dolls, let alone owns any anymore. We sold all of the dolls, clothes, vehicles, etc at our last garage sale. ALL of it got bought up quick!

DH put DS's tooth in one of our business envelopes!!!
I said to him, "Is that all you could come up with??". MEN!! :headache:
So I think I need a more suitable loose tooth holder for him!

So what do you all use???

Kid's bring their report cards home today.
Both kids are excited because we pay $$ for good grades here. :)

paint I bet your DD will be the cutest jack-o-lantern ever at a wedding!! princess: ;) You could be crazy and get her those fake teeth that those pageant moms get for their little girls to wear when they compete!! Have you ever heard about that? :sad2:

slo I forgot to mention that I add shredded Italian cheese blend to the garlic beer bread.
WOW!!! I can't believe Stephanie was just 4 1/2 when she lost her first tooth!!! That's the earliest I've ever heard anyone loosing a tooth! :teeth:

piglet Feel better soon!!

DMM Nice trip pics!!
Special moments at WDW/DL are the best. We've had a few ourselves. :goodvibes

Gotta run!
The school bus should be here soon!

Hey everyone. I had a whole post here and then tried looking for a pic to add, and lost my post.
So, let's try again.
Piglet, :wizard: feel better soon.
Welcome to our new friends. Come back and visit often.
DH is home sick today. Makes getting things done around here quite difficult. So instead, :surfweb: here I sit.
DMM, love your Pocohantas story. I love when that stuff happens. THis is the part where I went looking for a pic, that I never did find. (must have been on the old computer and is now just on a disk). In 2005 at DL, DS had a thing for Peter Pan. We saw him and Wendy skipping off into Fantasyland and followed and then lost them. DS spied them on the carousel. I went to find the CM that was with them and asked if they were signing autographs anywhere and explained DS fixation with PP. She said they weren't doing autographs, but told us to wait by the exit of the carousel. When PP and Wendy got off, they grabbed my kids by the hands and went skipping off with them. Caught me by suprise and we almost couldn't keep up. They skipped off to a bench and proceeded to sit with them for about 5 minutes talking. The kids were so excited. That is what I love about Disney.
DMM you were right about that sun being deceiving. It is cold outside!! I am so done with this. It even had the nerve to drop some snowflakes on me-sorry, Mac, but we don't have any snow left on the ground and I don't want anymore!!!!!! We only have a few patches of ice left here and there. And those can go away any time, too.
I wanted to vacuum out the van, but not going to happen today.:rolleyes1
Guess I will clean the bathroom and then loaf. I'll play my latest addiction-StarWars Legos on Wii. Got to find those last canisters!!:rotfl: It's an obsession.
Bunchkin, I had a special container for the kids first lost tooth, but after that, the tooth fairy just takes them away.:rolleyes1 SSHHHHH. She needs them for the babies-how else do they get their baby teeth after all?!!!
Well, better go get something done around here as quietly as I can.
