:cheer2: IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!:cheer2:

I just love knowing that I don't have to fight about bedtimes and getting Stephanie to do her homework for a couple of days :yay: I have to work tomorow, but not all day, so that's awesome too!!!!:woohoo: Yep....I love Fridays!!!!!!

I have to get out super early today and get Sophie to the vet by 7am. She is going for her 6 month operation today :cheer2: Even though she never leaves my sight, and I know she could never have a dog date with another dog, it's a relief to know that she won't be able to have puppies, and not go into heat. The thought of Stephanie starting her period soon is enough to make me do this:eek:  I don't need to worry about it with the dog too:sad2:

I've officially decided to put Christmas tree #1 up next weekend :santa: I just don't want to do both Christmas trees the weekend after Thanksgiving - that's alot of work. I'm excited to get the tree up, especially this tree. It's in the room that we are rarely in, so it's not in the way, and it just looks pretty:goodvibes When do you all put up your Christmas tree?

I had good news from the bank yesterday. They told me to not worry, and they'll take care of. By the time I sat down to eat my lunch, the charge was gone (I look at my account online everyday) and the money was back in my account. I have a great bank!!!!!:thumbsup2

geffric - When do you put up your Hanakkuh decorations? Do you decorate early, or do you decorate right before the holiday. I noticed that Hanakkuh starts a couple of days before Christmas this year - so we'll all be celebrating at the same time!!!:goodvibes
**Do you serve that casserole as a side dish, or a dessert? Thanks for the receipe!!!!

Rose - :wave2:

DG - How are you feeling today? I hope you aren't getting your dad's flu bug:wizard: :wizard:

momto1 - Yes it is a bummer, but luckily, she seems to understand. How about your son, does he understand when you miss things?

Well, I guess I should get going and get ready to go
Have a great day today everyone!!!

SLO - the pumpkin casserole is a side dish.. I do pumpkin pie, cheesecake and french silk pie for dessert..plus I go to a cookie exchange on Saturday so I bake cookies too..
hanukkah.gif
I don't really decorate for Hanukkah.. and the kids aren't getting anything really this year... Eric gets $$$ for his band Hawaii trip and Geoff gets $$ for college..so it will be a food type of holiday no gifts this year..

DG - how are you feeling today?? I hope your back heals and you feel better, too. Not fun being sick!

Happy Friday, happy weekend!!!

The office where I work part time is relocating this weekend, so I have an extra weekend day this week; it was nice to be able to sleep in a tad today!

Yesterday was Mark's birthday, and I made a cake that was supposed to be fudge marble, but I got distracted while making it and mixed the cocoa batter right with the yellow cake batter, so it ended up being a very strange cake! <I am so *not* Betty Crocker!>

Slo, I hope your hand is okay....did you have to get a tetanus shot? Hope your little doggie does okay today.

All who are not feeling well..please feel better soon!

Mac, you continue to be in my thoughts for a successful surgery and a quick recovery!

DMM, we went to Frankenmuth on the way home from Mackinac Island a few years back. The Christmas store up there is amazing!!! Enjoy your trip!

Bunchkin...hope everything is okay, haven't seen you post in a little while?

Hersey...I have had a few days lately where I am waking up thinking I have not gotten any sleep, either...I wonder if it's the time change kicking in??

ALL..have a GREAT day today!!!!

Good Morning Everyone! :flower3: I'm sooooo happy it's friday! I'm going to the mall with my oldest sis tomorrow morning to do some early xmas shopping! I'm excited!

Slo and Geffric ~ I am feeling much better today! Thank you for asking! Definitely glad that was only a one day bug! As for the back, it's ok, not great but not terrible at the moment!

Everyone else ~ :wave2: have a wonderful weekend!!

This may be a silly question but... Does anybody know where I can find Mickey Mouse Track Pants for my DNephew1? :confused3 I just was at DisneyShopping.com and bought him a mickey tshirt and sweatshirt for xmas but i'd like to get him pants as well so he has a full outfit! I bought DN3 a buzzlightyear tee with buzz pants and a buzz pjs... I'm so excited to have one gift down!

1 hour and 45 minutes till the beginning of the weekend.

woo hoo.......

and the cold snap starts tomorrow.
:sad2:

Still alive! Busy with work- they've fired 6 servers this past month and one of their main people is going on maternity leave. It is also coming up to the end of the semester. Glad it is almost here, but I have lots of papers and test coming up.
Hope you are all doing well.:)

Happy Friday everyone!! Yes, I too am happy it is finally Friday. No more 5:30a alarm!

DS's meeting went well today. His clasroom teacher actually stated she thinks mainstreaming is good BUT she does a better job in her classroom than in other mainstream classrooms because she can do so much more hands on activities with the small number of kids in her class  . That might be true but if DS is going to cope in the real world he's going to have to know how in a less restrictive environment. I wonder about her judgement too as she selected a loud, energetic, boisterous classroom for DS to mainstream into for math :confused3 . DS is very auditory sensitive, loud active places (except Disney-no idea why) are very stressful environments for him. She also had him start right in for the full duration of the class, no slow introduction. No wonder it was such a struggle for him. There were a lot of good ideas that were shared by his whole team and we have a good plan. I think we're going to have to keep very on top of it though as it wasn't necessarily what his classroom teacher wanted.

We're going to DBil's cabin in Wisconsin this weekend, leaving tonight after DS's psychologist appt. Not much planned for there, have the info for the local ice rink and bowling alley and am packing some movies. It'll be a laid back family time weekend. As long as I don't have to be up at 5:30am I'll be happy  .

slo - not a problem about the shirt, get there when you can.
*Congrats to Stephanie on her basketball game! DD11 doesn't start basketball until Jan. Did Stephanie play volleyball?
**Good news on the bank end, we had that happen last year and it took our bank weeks to get our money back in our account. Thankfully DH had found it the day it happened so we were able to keep anything else from hitting. It was a travel company from Italy?!

disneygal - glad you're feeling better today!

Donna - Happy belated-Birthday to Mark! I'm sure the cake tasted great!

mac - is your surgery coming up? Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

paint - good to see you around, don't know how you do it with work, school and kids!

:wave2: to everyone else!

Have to run and pack for the weekend then pick up the girls from their friends do dinner and get DS to his appt by 6p. I might bring my laptop to the cabin, if so I'll be able to check in. If not, see you all Sunday night! :flower3:

hey there chicagoland homies.

life is good.

thank you for your caring words.

Mac I was starting to worry. I'm glad you are doing well. I hope the PT doesn't bring to much pain.

Paint Glad to hear your still alive ;) Thank goodness the semester is almost over and you can rest.

DG Have you tried looking at the Disney store? I know I saw Mickey sweat pants somewhere I just don't remember where.

Donna Is your new company coming closer to you or farther? Happy late birthday to Mark :cake: :bday:

:surfweb:

I'm up so much earlier on a Saturday than I would want to be:rolleyes: . I'm waiting for the Ice Mountain man to come and switch my water cooler, because mine doesn't work properly (the hot water spicket isn't working, and I use this alot). The times he may come is anytime between 7am - 12pm, so here I am, up, dressed, and wishing I could still be in bed. I can understand that they can't commit to an exact time, but I wish they didn't have to give me 5 hour window - why not a 2 hour window? :confused3 Oh well, nothing I can do about it, so I"ll sit here and wait.

Is anyone doing anything interesting this weekend?
We aren't doing anything special, but that's okay. Today I have alot of running around to do, and go to work for awhile. Tonight, I may rent a movie. Tomorrow, I may go to the mall to find Stephanie's Christmas dress, because the girls get their Christmas pictures taken the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and that's not to far away:eek: But we'll see what happens, because Kevin is painting Katie's room, and we'll need to put that back together.

geffric - Are you getting together with other family members for Hanakkuh, or is it just you, your DH, and the boys? I know the holiday is for more than one day, but is there one day that you do more than others? Every year I ask you questions about Hanakkuh, but I can't help it, I love learning about other people's religions and traditions.:)

Donna - The hand is doing better, thanks for asking!!!!!:) I never got a tetnus shot, and I never went to the doctor. I cut myself, and injure myself, ALOT at work, and I"ve gotten very used to it (as painful as that is). I usually don't freak out about an injury unless I really have too. I once sliced the top of my pointer finger off on a piece of glass - that I went to the hospital for. I never got my finger print back in one place - I find that kinda weird!!! As the years go by though, I injure myself less and less, and that's because I know how to handle things better, and once you've injured yourself doing something stupid, you never do it again:laughing:
** :cake: Happy belated Birthday to Mark!!!!!

DG - Have fun shopping today!!!! :cool1: I don't know about the pants - maybe someone else will.
**I"m glad you are feeling better:) If your back doesn't start to feel better, you may want to go see a Chiropractor.

paint - I was going to PM you soon and see how you are, because we haven't seen you in awhile. Sounds like life is stressful right now - I"ll send some PD for it to get easier soon, and that you can enjoy the holidays with less stress!!!:wizard:

ID - I'm glad the meeting at your went well, and I don't blame you for wanting to keep up with what's going on with your son. I don't know much about Autism, and I'm learning as I go from those I know like yourself. You know your son, and you know what's best for him, I hope the school respects that, and works with you, and not against you. Keep us posted on how things are going.
**Have fun this weekend up at the cabin :cool1:

Mac - Many continued hugs for you!!!

HERSEY - :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and check my other threads
Have a great Saturday everyone!!!

Good morning! I which it was at least sunny. It would make it feel less cold.

Slo Waiting is not one of my strong points. I hope the Ice mountain man comes soon.

Mac I hope this cold is kind to you. Doing christmas shopping on a scooter might be fun kind of like bowling:idea:

I have to get my house cleaned my Aunt and Uncle are coming for an early dinner today.

Good Saturday Morning Everyone! :flower3: just about ready to leave for the mall! :woohoo: i love shopping, especially when it's for other people! :goodvibes Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts about my back and one day flu bug. i'm convinced that is why it didn't last longer!

Hersey ~ I'm going to stop by the disney store this morning! I think they are having a store wide sale today too so hopefully they'll have some!:thumbsup2

Slo ~ hope the water guy gets there soon. i always hate waiting, i get so bored even though there are still things i could do to keep busy. It just makes the time go by so slow...

i blame it on blondeness.

hope all have a great weekend.

Evening all. Just a quick hello and hope all are doing well. Very tired after a long day at work. Nutcracker is this week so running ragged with DD:dance3: Can't wait til it's over.
Mac, hope you are doing better. Be sure you follow all your PT directions and do all your exercises properly now!:rolleyes1
Slo, glad to hear your hand didn't give you problems. Good luck dress hunting for the girls. I found one for Kellie at Macy's last week. A nice, velvet red with long sleeves.:thumbsup2 That rarely happens with the spaghetti strapped hoochi style these girls are wearing these days.
Hersey, how's it going? Hope all is well.
Hi to everyone else. DG, glad to hear you are all better.
Everyone take care. I am off to bed.
