Calling all Baltic Cruisers...

I was thinking that we might stay in London and just take a car service to Dover the morning of departure. We stayed in a nice B&B near Victoria Station on our honeymoon. I'm not sure if Cathy would want to stay their again, or go with a hotel. Hotel would probably be better because we could access concierge services.

Decisions, decisions.

Last July we stayed at the Park Plaza London Victoria and then took the National Express Coach to the port - we paid about $60. total one way for 3 people. I had checked into a car service and couldn't find one that was under $400. for the 3 of us. :scared1: We arrived at the port a little after 12 noon and left London at 9:45, our driver took us directly to the port rather than drop us off in town since over half the bus was cruise passengers.

I was considering the National Express too, but we are going to Dover straight from the airport for a few days, and I'm not sure what time I should book the bus from.

I'm also worried that the flight might be delayed and I will end up missing my coach and have to take a taxi anyway.

And I would have to prebook my taxi to get a good deal.

I will reconsider the Coach if I thought I could just show up at the station and book 5 seats when I arrived.

Does anyone have any advice on that?

I just happened to think we've just shown up at National Express at the airport and boarded the next bus to our drop off point without any problems. It never occured to me to prebook. I think you have a better shot of getting on the bus without prebooking when you leave the airport and not going to Dover on a busy port day.
